The main reason that we chose this hotel was because it advertised that one could see aurora in the room, however, if would only be the case if aurora is super strong, if it is cloudy or partially clouded, nothing can been seen. We eventually joined a local tour to see the northern light. In that case, I think it’s over advertised and is too pricy, Moreover, there are too many tours which are quite disturbing to individual tourists

An unforgettable experience. We arrived more than two hours earlier than the scheduled checkin time, and was pleasantly surprised to find our room ready. The reception staff were very friendly and asked us if we needed help to carry our luggage to the room. We stayed in a premium igloo room. We found the room to be immaculately clean amidst incredibly beautiful surroundings. The heated floor and the constantly maintained temperature of 22 degrees C kept us comfortable throughout, while the outside temperature hovered between -16 deg C to -20 deg C. We had booked dinner while checking in, and were pleasantly surprised to be told that the main course was complimentary. Dinner was great with reasonably good choice of starters, mains, drinks and desserts. We tried some of the available Lappish delicacies. The cherry on top was the Northern Lights - we did not need to book any Northern Lights hunting tour. We witnessed this marvel of nature from the hotel itself - both out in the open and from within the warm igloo itself. Overall, a superb stay. Highly recommended!

Our overall stay was amazing. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I would especially like to thank the reception team for assisting us in sending our cabin bag to the airport after we realized we had left it at the hotel—this was greatly appreciated. The location is excellent: the airport is only an 8-minute drive away, and Santa Claus Village is just a 7–10 minute walk. We stayed as two families with three kids, and the hotel’s plastic sleds were a huge convenience, making it easy and fun to get around with the children. Breakfast was satisfying overall. We did have dinner at the hotel one evening; however, the salmon ordered for our child did not taste good, and the meals were generally average. One of the best things about the hotel is, of course, the igloos. Sleeping under the transparent ceiling felt truly magical—watching the stars, and we were incredibly lucky to see the Aurora Borealis from the hotel two nights in a row. The underfloor heating was excellent and kept the bathroom and bedroom floors comfortably warm at all times. While the temperature inside the igloo occasionally felt a bit cool, it was manageable and varied between warm and cooler moments. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families traveling with children, thanks to its location and unique experience. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Hotel is in close proximity to the train station and stores and restaurants. It has great amenities with gym that has enough space and equipments I need for my work out and sauna as well. The best part are the staff. They are very accommodating and has a smile on their faces all the time. I will definitely go back!

The staff at the reception was not friendly at all, but the trainee and the restaurant staff were. Food selection is limited, dinner menu doesn’t change. The shower head was blocked with lime scales. And the shampoo and shower gel bottles were not in good condition. That’s why I’ve given poor rating on cleanliness. In terms of location and the surrounding, I would give them perfect 5 stars.

Elizabeth was excellent helping us check in and we ended up upgrading to the jacuzzi. It was well worth it and a wonderful place I was lucky enough to enjoy the northern lights from. Food menu was limited but lovely and reasonable prices including the bar.

The staff were VERY accommodating, welcoming and stellar in every way! Can’t say enough good things. The igloo was exactly as advertised and very cozy and nice. The Arctic Eye restaurant for dinner was excellent and very top notch, must try the elk tenderloin! The breakfast was perfect and very large and delicious. This is our Go To place for visiting Rovaniemi, definitely worth the trip!

Everything was closed because it's September. However I'm pretty sure they make enough the rest of the year to have just enough staff to keep things open. No shuttle service and it's too far from main attractions and food and to get luggage to rooms etc

Very nice hotel. Away from the crowds but within walkable distance from Santa’s village and bus stop that takes you to Rovaniemi center. The igloos are amazing. You can watch the sky and relax thanks to the piece and quite surroundings

Excellent place to stay if you want to be away from crowds and near nature. The sky and tree view from the igloo windows and ceiling were fabulous. It was a very peaceful place to stay to watch the snow falling and to view the Northern Lights. The igloo was clean, modern, and roomy enough for two people. The onsite restaurant served excellent food and drinksyet the dinner choices were limited. The included breakfast was one of the best I’ve ever had with numerous hot food choices and wonderful blueberry juice. The Staff were amazingly kind and helpful and there was no wait when we needed them. Santa Clause Village is a ten minute walk from the igloos where you will find additional places to eat and a few shops. A highlight was meeting Santa Clause in his charming office (no cost) and standing at the Arctic Circle. There are some additional activities for fees at the Village. Note: If you take the Santa Clause Village Bus from the RVN airport ($9.00 US) you will have a walk to the igloos which is challenging in the snow or mud. It would be helpful if they offered transportation on demand from the bus stop to the igloos in their Polaris. The taxi from the airport is $70.00 US. We also took the Santa Clause Village Bus into the city center of Rovaniemi and took an excellent Northern Lights Tour with Arctic GM Experiences Northern Lights Rovaniemi Guaranteed Viewing and Unlimited Mileage. Our guide was wonderful, and we saw the beautiful lights at the end of the season.

Santa’s igloo’s was an amazing resort to stay at. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. All igloos are all within walking distance to all the attractions and every igloo is very cozy, clean and comfortable. I recommend this resort for anyone looking for an amazing experience viewing the Northern Lights and enjoying the surrounding area.

A magical stay in Santa's Village Arctic Circle. The Northern Lights were spectacular. Our booking included breakfast and dinner which was excellent. The staff were all exceptional.

Overall the stay was what I expected. However, the heater wasn’t working in my igloo and while they were quick to attempt to resolve the issue it took hours for guest services to troubleshoot and remedy the situation. They ended up comping dinner and giving me another suite for the night but then woke me up multiple times the next morning to work while I attempted to sleep. Again, happy for the effort but no one wants to be woken up on their vacation. Positives: their aurora alarm will wake you up in the middle of the night so you don’t sleep through catching them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Property is easy to navigate and is walkable

My daughter and I loved the hot tub outside our property (yes - we went into it in minus 17 deg C!). We also enjoyed an absolutely scrumptious meal when we first arrived - the hotel's food is devine. Great location for being close to everything, yet apart in nature. Brilliant trip and igloo!
