Lapland Winter Park Chalets

This accommodation exceeded all of our expectations in every possible way!! At the time of booking, there were only four reviews. However, since many other places in Rovaniemi had complaints about outdated rooms, the fact that this property had just opened on December 1, 2025, was the first reason we chose it. We were traveling as a family that included members in their 80s, so joining an aurora hunting tour was not an option. Because all the chalets have large north-facing windows, we hoped that with a bit of luck we might be able to see the Northern Lights from our accommodation — and that was another reason for our choice. After booking, I contacted the property several times by email. I have traveled to many cities across 25 countries, but this was the first time I experienced such sincere, thoughtful, and detailed responses to every single question. That alone already left a great impression. At check-in, the staff kindly transported all of our suitcases from reception to our chalet using a small motorized cart at no extra charge. This allowed us to enjoy a beautiful 6-minute walk through snow-covered trees that felt like a magical winter wonderland setting. The complimentary activities for guests — the sledding area, ice rink, and reindeer — became part of our family’s daily routine. We also loved warming ourselves in the huts equipped with fireplaces and real logs, where we roasted marshmallows together. The absolute highlight was the breakfast and dinner. The breakfast buffet was flawless in both taste and presentation. The dishes were always fresh, and the chef would come out immediately to refill anything that ran low — even the salmon was incredibly fresh and delicious. On Monday and Tuesday, dinner was a three-course meal, and the quality was honestly comparable to (or even better than) what you would expect from a Michelin 1-star restaurant in Paris. Great Winter Park. Kids have lots of fun. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The restaurant is ambient and food is great. Room is big and clean and comfortable.

A bit far from Santa's Village and there is only one pick up time for bus going from Santa's Village to the hotel.

Everything is really clean, feels like new. The chalets are super cozy. The restaurant is really really really good!

Chalets are strangely equipped. For example, there completely no place to dry your clothes. It is very strange and because you are living in WINTER PARK and this obviously means that your clothes might get wet. Also, you pay a pretty decent amount of money but you event don’t get any utensils in the chalet. Also, for this kind of money I’d expect to have AT LEAST several small bottles of water (I’m not talking about other drinks that could be offered in the fridge), but you don’t get it too. Besides that, the chalets are built really close to each other, this means that there is not a lot of privacy because there will be people walking around your chalet in front of this big nice window. All the chalets also have small lights and these lights are turned on day/night and that means that at night it is difficult to sleep with open window. P.S. in the offering there is a nice photo of saunas. These saunas are not included in price. We bought one standard session (1,5h) for about 75 EUR per person. The saunas are pretty ok, but 1,5h it was by far not enough for us. Taking into account that in Finland saunas are almost everywhere complimentary, I’d say that if you purchase a stay in these chalets, saunas must be complimentary too (one session per day). This would help us try these saunas much better and would definitely make our stay much more comfortable.
