Fantastic staff

Absolutely loved this staff in this place, specifically Paola who dealt with our check in and getting us sorted for the spa, she was so attentive and made sure we didn't have to wait to long to check in as we were there early and that we had all the info we needed in regards to accommodation, food and how to use the facilities. Amelia our server for dinner was also fantastic. They both made our stay super pleasant so we can't thank them enough! The igloos themselves are in a beautiful location and the bed was very comfortable, we even got to watch people drive past on their snow mobile excursions.

The only thing I didn't like was how small the igloos actually are as it was so awkward trying to get all our layers on or off at the same time, but we knew when we booked that it would be small and that we were paying for an experience, so just keep this in mind.

This experience felt misleading and absolutely not worth the money. The only positive aspect was the friendly reception

Driver and reception service

We paid almost 1,000€ for a water igloo and the experience was unacceptable. The igloo was tilted, extremely noisy all night due to ice breaking, and sleep was impossible. Heating didn’t work in the first igloo; after being moved, the second was overheating. There is no shower in the igloo, which is shocking for this price. The freezing transfer by snowmobile trailer added even more discomfort.

Room is tooooo small, you might need to leave your luggage at lobby, and was so mess to grab the stuff which you need to use at night from you luggage. In the room you can’t flushing the toilet there will be a plastic bag to hold your poop and even sometimes if you need to go to the toilet you have half body out of the “tiny toilet room”, no shower in the room. it’s always dark outside if you turn on the light you can see nothing outside it’s a mirror you can only see yourself, even you turn it off it’s all super dark and no any light so you still can’t see something! But it’s clean, staff was great, forest was super beautiful! Just please consider if it’s what you want!!!

Disappointing

The food is really good. And the Services is good as well.

My igloo was directly behind Others igloos and offered no privacy. The other igloos had their entry lights on. Which interfere with the my possibilities of watching the northern lights. Which was the reason why I had rented the igloo on the first place Overall, I was very disappointed with my experience.

Incredibly beautiful stay in the woods. Luxurious “camping” in cabins lol

Due to the higher than usual temperatures (heatwave), the lake water being really low, and the mosquitos were out like crazy, the igloo’s weren’t a great option. As such the staff informed us that we could stay, at no additional cost, in one of the luxury cabins. As such, this review is about the cabins. They were luxurious! AC, Bathroom, shower, sauna and a combo washer/dryer machine, kitchenette and mini fridge. Definitely a welcomed treat and had a great stay with here. Staff at breakfast were lovely, professional and attentive. Felt pampered and was a great location out of the busy area and in nature.

Parking could be a little more organized. Hot tub water never seemed to get hot enough.

A very disappointing and expensive visit

Our stay was for 6 April, the resort had closed on April 2nd but they didn’t tell us until April 4th when we had spent €300+ on rail fares from Helsinki and were on our way. The notification was lost the middle of an email amongst a number of others they had sent. The spa was closed, the restaurant was closed and we arrived in a taxi unprepared and without food. Nobody was there to explain anything to us. I eventually found the owner who agreed to get a pizza delivered (arrived cold) and gave us a breakfast tray. This was not the experience we had hoped for and it was really disappointing. They told us we could use a suite, which we did just to eat the pizza but only because it had a table to eat at, otherwise we used the igloo, even though it had no power to the electrical sockets so we couldn’t charge our devices or use the kettle. Next morning the power totally failed so we count even get anything to drink as the water was on an electrical pump. They agreed to refund €100 euros to mitigate the problems, but I believe a total refund would have been more appropriate, particularly given we had spent over 300 Euros in addition to get to this poor experience. If the resort was closed they should not have accepted the booking.

Boutique and unique stay in winter wonderland. This place would be my top recommendation for anyone visiting Finland.

Our stay at The Invisible Forest Lodge was the highlight of our trip. We spent a night in one of the Aurora Igloos and a night in an Invisible Lodge. Both were wonderful experiences. The accommodation has been designed so sympathetically with the surrounds. The facility is small and has a very "boutique" feel. The beds were comfortable in both the igloo and lodge., the main shared sauna/hot tub facilities at the reception building were clean and so easy to use. The private sauna and hot tub in the lodge was a dream. I highly recommend both. Whichever you choose, you cannot go wrong! The staff were the warmest, most efficient and most attentive we met in Finland. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt so spoiled. We are at the restaurant both nights and really enjoyed our meal. The wait staff and the chef were top tier, so friendly and engaging. I cannot speak highly enough of The Invisible Forest Lodge.

Breathtakingly beautiful, I didn’t want to leave!

One of the most amazing places we have ever stayed! The staff all go out of their way to make your experience really special. The location is stunning, surrounded by nature, the private hot tub and sauna were very special, food was perfect, It’s just so peaceful. Seeing the magic of Aurora over our heads was final part of the dream! Have recommended this place to everyone I know!

*We switched from the igloo to a suite. The igloos looked like a really great experience for 1 night, but we were happy to have the benefit of more privacy with our own bathroom and private sauna in a suite. The walk between the igloo and the main building is a little far (especially if it is very cold) and the shared open sauna concept is very exposed to the reception/ bar / restaurant, especially if you are a little shy. Though the whole experience would still be beautiful, perhaps a little more privacy for the spa area would be great. The suite is expensive but the added experience for us made it incredible. Only small feedback were all the kids in the restaurant, everything was so peaceful until then! But that’s not a fault of the staff at all.

Be careful when reading the descriptions..

I was very good experince,very good place and good for sleep inside a glass tent but before booking please check all of the features. Hot tubes,fire pit, coffees,biscuvits was very good but I guess it's not worth the money.

Very thin and only 2 pillows, my neck still hurts. Robes and towels not enough if you stay 2 night, if you wants before stay,better. And also check socks, cause I found only one sock among the towels, so if you wants this one before aswell could be better. Lastly pls check and understand excatly toilet before buy cause its not flushable, bio wc and sometimes toilet lids not open 🙈

An experience to stay here

- The hosts were amazing, really friendly and helpful. They offered to help us with everything we needed. For example we had an awful plane trip where our luggages were lost and they helped us with the luggage delivery to the igloo directly. Also, we had a little problem with the toilets and as an apology, they offered us a really fancy golden drink. - The check-in was super easy, we just needed a code to enter. Inside everything was prepared, the igloo heated. I personally was super afraid if it will be warm enough, as outside were -20°C and usually I am cold, but the temperature inside was really pleasant. The view is also absolutely amazing, waking up in that peaceful area, it is like a piece of heaven on earth. - Bonus: they also installed a hot tub, so that made our stay extra special. Even outside being cold, inside the water is warm enough to stay. They also explained us how we should use the woollen socks given by them to walk on the snow in order to avoid falling. - The place inside was really cute and compact and it had everything needed. They even had some tea, biscuits and soft drinks supply in the igloo, really welcoming. Inside the igloo there is also a super-mini fridge and a "cellar".

- The igloo indeed doesn't have a shower, so longer stays are not suitable. We were there for 2 nights, and that was ok, as we could have a shower before arriving there and after leaving, but I wouldn't recommend longer stays. - On the tap there is only cold water, so for drinking I would recommend to have some water prepared in a bottle or something similar, as the tap water can be really cold, but for washing hands and teeth is ok. Also, there is a kettle, you can also use that to warm up some water.

Very nice!

I really liked the location very much. Igloo was at a good temperature, nice view and location. Far enougg away from the other igloo. There was a nice hottub, campfire possibility and enough dry wood and fire starters. Nice little things that the owners thought of: delicious home baked cookies, tea, juice, water. Also a sign if you'd like to place a food delivery order. Very nice!

There were forks and knives, but no spoons. The accomodation offered a mini fridge with yoghurt, so a spoon would be handy :) Also the fishing hole light didn't work (or we didn't found how it worked)

Amazing experience near Rovaniemi!

An amazing experience, located in the woods in Lapland. Complementary snacks, fireplace, hot tub and ice fishing hole are all there. would definitely recommend!

Taxis from the city center have a very high rate to go there (27€ for only about 6km).

Exceptional

The whole experience was fab, the igloo was so warm and comfortable. The facilities were great, an outdoor grill with plenty of wood available to light, a small fridge, kettle and coffee machine in the igloo, and fab little complimentary snacks/drinks, absolutely loved the experience, the igloo and the setting

No breakfast included. Nice location by a lake, close to Rovaniemi

The kitchenette has no stove, no cutlery, no dishes, no glasses, only two knives, so impossible to cook or eat there. The place is tiny. The barbecue is tiny, the wood was wet, we had to drive back to Rovaniemi and find a supermarket to buy charcoal, cutlery and dishes. The bed is small, for 1,5 people not two. No shower and you cannot flush the toilet

Ein einzigartiges Erlebnis im Igloo bei minus 18° und viel Schnee zu übernachten. Dabei die Annehmlichkeiten vom SPA zu genießen in traumhafter Kulisse. Die Gerichte im Restaurant waren von besonderer Qualität und vor allem auch ein Augenschmaus. Eine hervorragende Lokation.

Atypique

L’hôtel est vraiment très beau vous en prenez plein les yeux en arrivant. Les repas sont incroyablement bons notamment le repas gastronomique proposé le soir c’est un régal !! Les lieux sont très propres. L’expérience en igloo est très sympa en matinée/ journée, il y’a une forêt pour se balader à proximité c’est magnifique. La navette en motoneige de l’hôtel aux igloo rend l’expérience vraiment atypique. Le personnel est très sympathique et à votre écoute. Nous avons pu faire un feu nous même près de l’igloo, on avait l’impression d’être seul au monde c’était très agréable

J’avoue avoir été un peu déçu en arrivant le soir dans l’igloo, on ne voit pas grand chose et selon moi il est très difficile de voir des aurores depuis l’igloo même s’il y en a… le soir où nous avons séjourné des aurores ont été aperçu dans la ville mais nous n’avons rien vu depuis l’igloo. De plus avec les toillettes sèches et le manque de douche il y a peu de confort. Ne surtout pas réserver pour plus d’une nuit.

Bellissima esperienza ma non avere una doccia in camera potrebbe essere un problema.

Dormire in un tenda riscalda sul letto di un fiume ghiacciato è una esperienza da fare! Bella l’idea del transfer in motoslitta, non è per tutti. La zona spa molto bella ma lo è stata ancora di più la cena, una cucina eccellente, cena e colazione indimenticabile. Personale gentile e disponibile.

Ho prenotato una tenda molto bella ma la struttura dovrebbe specificare con più accuratezza i dettagli della “camera”. Ci siamo ritrovati a dover avere accesso alla camera tramite motoslitta, all’interno si trova un wc senza acqua e non mi inoltro nei dettagli, ed un lava mani che purtroppo non funzionava. Quindi è stato complesso. Il letto inclinato non favorisce una posizione comoda purtroppo.. Per usufruire della doccia, bisogna recarsi alla struttura principale che dispone di un grosso bagno, con un asciugacapelli per tutti gli ospiti.

La ubicación para ver auroras boreales, el servicio de desayuno y cena muy buena, y la atención del personal, muy amable, además tienen snowmobile para transportarnos internamente desde el igloo cuando lo solicitábamos, llegaban súper rápido.

おとぎ話のようなイグルー体験でした。

イグルーは思っていたよりも広く、過ごすのに快適でした。食事もとてもおいしかったですし、サウナやシャワーの利用、そしてイグルー横のバスタブも最高でした。惜しくもオーロラはその夜には見られませんでしたが、夢のなかにいるような時間で、最高でした。近くには野生のトナカイもいて、夜には遠くからハスキーの遠吠えを聞くことができ、大自然を感じることができます。
