Apukka is very easily reached from the airport, town center or santa village. we used an uber, they were never more than 7 mins away. the accommodation was very comfy & warm. beware, there are no tellies in the rooms. but the wifi is very good and also - it's so pretty outside, you might just not need it.
we were warned there was only 20 mins of hot water available at a time. for a group of 4, of which there were 2 teenagers ;), it could have become slightly uncomfortable. but a bit of planning and everyone had hot showers.

The resort is just great. For a short holiday only recommended. The distance to the airport is perfect. The rooms are simply very cosy and tastefully decorated. Then the glass roof in the igloo was just great. The range of activities is very diverse. Great opportunities to discover the breathtaking nature. The food deserves special mention. The breakfast was really top. The dinner at the restaurant Kota was just fantastic and delicious. All in all, an unforgettable short break.

Location, staff, cabin & scenery
Limited first & dessert courses for dinner and some of the main course sauces overpowered the fish.

we liked everything - staff is really supportive and nice, room is clean, neat and well maintained, the rides and possibilites are also great.
the only caveat - some of the rides/tours they offer could be better explained abdse detailed to the joiners. The first one we did had extreme temperatures and we were outside for about 3h. Of course one expect to have to be on winter gears, but overall feeling I had is that this could be highlighted and the risks and discomfort could be better disclosed.

The hotel is amazing , just like the pictures. The staff is very kind and helpful, the activities are great. You can do everything and never leave the resort which is amazing for a short trip!
Nothing! Everything was great!

Unique and great site
A little busy at times as mergers with tourist business

We had a fantastic time at Apukka, the attention to detail and high quality finishing makes all the difference. It is expensive, perhaps not value for money but I have no regrets. Every single member of staff was extremely helpful, polite and responsive. The Apukka Snow & Fun is a fantastic experience of everything.
Too expensive.

Over expensive - nice location but super pricey and nor the most amazing value imo
Super pricey for the rooms and facilities they provide. Quite understaffed for peak season. Hospitality aspect was lacking although the location and overall facility was nice.

Beautiful, clean and just great for photography
The lake view has kitchen complete with oven, electric stove and dishwasher.
Shuttle service - shd offer route to supermarket nearby so guests pick up groceries.
Mattresses can be a bit thicker and firmer and with better pillows

Breakfast is good, many variety of food to choose. Staffs are friendly.
The shuttle bus timing is limited.

Amazing igloo! It’s more spacious than we thought (and compared to pictures), great facilities, amazing breakfast and crew! We got very lucky to see the Northern Lights from the room! It was magical!

Loved the places we stayed in, very cosy and good design, great views, loved the fire pits and the walk, and the crab soup is incredible.
Smelt like egg in the bathroom drains and no bath, also the plug socket didn’t work next to the bed, it’s lacking included facilities like a gym or sauna

The staff, the location, the aurora, the unique cabins and rooms, the sauna, the lake, the nature feeling, the horses, the reindeers and the food.

Location, value for money, glass igloos and witnessing the Northern Lights.
Breakfast is amazing!
Activities are eye-wateringly expensive - 200 euro for sauna - that's just ridiculous.
We went to a husky farm and paid a 3rd of what Apukka charged for the same activity.

We stayed 2 nights at Apukka Resort and only the glass igloo was enough! It is really something to experience. We got to sleep under the stars. There are also many activities to book. We booked the private sauna by the lake and it was exhilarating! We would definately come here again :)
We had unfortunately food poisoning on the last day of our trip after eating at one of the restaurants at the resort. But the staff were very accomadating- they offered us a refund and gave us late check out until our flight time. Even though it was a bitter end to our trip, we are thankful for the staff for accomadating us.

The experience of staying in an igloo room was very cool despite not seeing the northern lights. I also really liked that the property had tons of activities on site so you didn't have to leave if you didn't want to

Accomodation, location everything was perfect.
Buffet dinner was not great - a la carte was very good as was thd pizza restauraunt. For a group the bus to santa village or rovanimi works out more expensive than taxi.

The glass ceiling was awesome. The on-site ice dipping was an added bonus. Lots of open space for long walks. The frozen lake. The pizza shop was great for quick bites. There were also awesome excursions right on site so convenient for traveling.
We missed the northern lights and didn't realize until later that you can request an alarm to sound to wake you up when the lights are nearby. No one told us this. Also the staff was a bit absent minded. My drinks were messed up twice. Lastly the breakfast was so underwhelming! Lots of choices, but cold food. We stayed at another resort for a few days and it was way cheaper and the morning buffets were AMAZING. We had higher hopes for Apukka with the exclusivity. Unfortunately, they didn't meet the standard. :(

An amazing place with exceptional staff

Great location and lovely setup of the cabins in the resort
A lot of activities bookable to experience the outdoors/nordic area
Friendly and supportive staff
Comfortable cabins and beds
Great food & Breakfest at the hotel
Shuttle bus to the city (at extra cost)
Most activites need to be pre-booked and paid extra.
So when planning consider, that there will not be much to do unless you pay extra for it.
The prices for the activities are fair - but as to be expected in Finland quite steep.
Without booking activities there is not really much to do round the resort, so consider this in your planning.

Excellant.

The breakfast is great, you can find differents kinds of food. They take care to offer a great breakfast gluten free, vegan, amrican style, also with a lot of local food. I think the filtered coffee could be better but was ok.
The surroundings are beautiful, seems like is a great place to visit even in sprint or summer.
Employees are amazing. They give you a warm and exceptional treatment.
The amenities are also very tasty and a great detail :)
They also offered different options to get some special for my wife's birthday
In our experience all the services, even the room offered are overvalued. We stayed in a Kammi Suite and taking in consideration that we're not skinny persons the sofas were to small and uncomfortable. As well the bed upstairs was complicated to use and with poor accessibility. No light switch close to bed so you should to turn all the lights off before go to bed.
The bathroom smelled very bad, even before to be used by us. The shower plate also haven't to much space to move you with freedom. I haven't had intentions to dance in the shower but, of course, I wanted to take a shower without take care of that my elbows not punch the glasses around me.
On other hand we booked a reindeers journey. It was beautiful but complicated, again because both of us not fitted properly in the sled. Also the tour guide, who was very kind, offered a scripted explanation after the tour but when we made questions she was a little bit lost.
Also we think should be good to get a transportation from the meeting point to the place to make the activities (~400mts away)

The location , our Lappish Kammi suite and the activities were all fabulous. The activities on offer were varied and suited all ages Our favourite was the private sauna on the lake. The combination of sauna and Arctic plunge into the lake was amazing The two restaurants were good, especially the pizza

Location is close to town and also close to the main road.
Room was good.
Breakfast was superb. The buffet spread provides many choices. Excellent!
It would be better if the extra bed was placed side by side with the main beds so that everyone can have a similar view.

The Reindeer experience was very nice, but scary at some point as the last reindeer on the last sleigh got really nervous and started hitting the sleigh with it's antlers with 3 people in it.
They asked us to call the guide but she was at the front and didn't realize about what was going on and we couldn't shout for help because she said not to shout...
When she came, the Reindeer had turned the sleigh around already, but the 3 people had already jumped out so no one tot hurt there. It was near the end or the ride aswell. The guide Ann-Sophie was extremely nice and professional when dealing with our group and that issue with the Reindeer. Likely the best staff member at Apukka Resort (at least when considering everyone we met)
The dinner buffet was nice and the Cod was quite tasty, but doesn't make sense to tell guests to sit in a pre-determined area if the whole restaurant is empty. We would have sit in another area if allowed as it was nicer.
Having a shuttle bus to bring us to our stay in Santa Claus holiday village was nice.
Overpriced for sure.
The Aurora Cabin is no more than a bathroom and a bed inside an igloo-like room. The bed has no real matress. It's 2 small twin beds and not a double bed (even if this is clearly an experience for couples), and it has no proper pillows either (cheap ones)
There was not 1 water bottle inside.
There were no snacks either (we didn't expect complimentary snacks, but having snacks in a place where food is hard to impossible to find during the night would be nice). Perhaps the Kammi Suites were nicer but unavailable to book (perhaps because there's not many) and the aurora cabins at 600€+/night are overpriced for what it is, so if you find Kammi Suites available, i would go for that one instead, or even the Glass Resort next to Santa's village which was by far much nicer.
Staff was overall polite.

The place is great, you feel like you are in another world
During our stay one of the restaurant was closed due to an event so that was a bit inconvenient
