Nice hotel, but one of the worst staff experiences ever made

Clean and comfortable

Staff at the desk not friendly nor competent. It was almost impossible to get hotel support for our daughter with fever above 40 degrees to schedule a doctor appointment. It was also not possible to have two rooms next to each other as a family. Absolutely no customer orientation…

I think the breakfast is good. But it could be excellent, just needs a food needs a slight change and some training. People working behind the bar at breakfast, not selling drinks. Have a coffee machine there doing cappuccinos flat white. Etc that. The coffee machine coffee is poor in breakfast area. Rooms need updating.

Great hotel, in central location for restaurants and winter excursions. We would stay again.

Fantastic location in the centre, with public bus service and loads of lovely restaurants within a short walk. Clean, large and warm room, with great soundproofing from street and comfortable beds. Felt very safe due to each floor, only being accessible if staying on that floor (via room card). Welcoming bar area, lovely sauna, (robes provided), decent selection for breakfast and helpful reception. Great to have the option of a takeout coffee at breakfast. 15 mins from airport via taxi and approx 20 mins on bus, to Santas village. Coffee, tea and kettle in room, but minibar is payable. Hotel was really good at answering questions, in advance of arrival.

Noise from room surrounding/above rooms was louder than I expected, due to promoting soundproofed rooms. Not sure if we were below a function room or just had a family party taking place in the room above us on Saturday evening.

Excellent stay in a strategic position

The room and the bathroom are spacious, modern, and silent (though rain can be a bit noisy). The position is excellent, basically in the city centre and strategically in the middle of everything (and just 2 minutes walk from the bus stop taking to the Santa Claus Village and the bridge to other side of the river). But the big plus is of course the sauna. There are no really things to complain about.

I would have loved to have the sauna to be open for more hours, such as opening at 5pm instead of 6. The breakfast was also complete of everything but I would have loved something more local like berries.

Great option in the heart of the city!

Great location in the heart of the town plus easy to catch transport from. Early check in allowed due to not being fully booked. They had my room ready on my early arrival! Very much appreciated. The all year round Christmas theme. Room was a good size and comfortable.

A little dated but looked like it was undergoing renovations. Toilet in my room made strange loud noises after flushing. Had to be mindful at night.

Having to checkout of 1st room at 11am. And wait precisely at 3pm to checkin to our room with sauna. No consideration was made to help us. G4anted the hotel was fully booked. But 4hrs to clean a room? The room with sauna is not worth the extra amount...unless you like saunas. The room was very dated.

The location and view from the room, the setup with the balcony is nice.

The absolutely worst experience I've ever had staying at a hotel: - The bathtub in the room was leaking water everywhere - The heating in the room didn't work, no possible service and we were given a portable radiator instead which was not very good and loud. Keep in mind this is in Finland where it's -17C outside. - The key cards for doors and elevators didn't work and required multiple trips to the reception - The sauna is open for a very short time, and even then the doors were locked and we couldn't enter - The room service barged into the room without even knocking or announcing themselves - Since it was New Year's Eve, they jacked the prices as well and we payed 320€ for all of this.

Superb

We were upgraded to second biggest room in the hotel which was fantastic and super good size for our family of 4. The room was very nicely decorated and very clean. The location is superb! It is walking distance to many restaurants and mini shopping malls. The hotel personnel is really kind.

The breakfast could have been a bit better quality. Especially the fried potatoes were too greasy and smelled like not fresh oil is used. Other than that, everything was very nice.

I'm giving this hotel a top review for several reasons...

I'm giving this hotel a top review for several reasons...the airline lost our luggage and one of the women at the front desk (I think her name is Verra (sorry if I got it wrong!) actually called her husband at home to go pick up our luggage (we didn't have a car) and bring it to the hotel!!!! I find that EXCEPTIONAL service as well as care and compassion on the part of the staff. All of the staff were very kind and helpful. The location of this hotel is perfect...near the city center, great restaurants...walkable to everything and easy to walk to the places that offer excursions in Rovaniemi.

The breakfast was mediocre...if the hotel upgraded the breakfast this would definitely be the perfect place to stay in Rovaniemi.
