I mistakenly booked this hotel, confusing it with another we’d previously stayed at. Had I read the reviews first, I would’ve looked elsewhere, but with a non-refundable booking, we decided to give it a chance and arrived with open minds. Unfortunately, things went wrong immediately. We arrived just after 8 p.m. on a Thursday to find reception closed, despite the hotel listing a 24/7 front desk. I called the number on the door and was told I had to pay an additional tourism tax before receiving the key. There was no mention of this tax on the hotel or Hotels.com site, and the listing clearly stated that any additional fees were due at check-out. The exterior didn’t inspire confidence either—groups of men standing around smoking and drinking. I wanted to leave then, but my wife was exhausted after a long day of travel so I paid the fee and we got the key. Upon entering the room we were hit with a stale cigarette smell and loud noise from what sounded like a party next door. With no real front desk support and the likelihood of getting no sleep in a smelly room, we quickly decided to leave. We called the Delphi Hotel in Neu Wulmstorf and, within 20 minutes, were warmly welcomed into a fresh, modern room. Hotel Neugrabener Hof may be cheap, but it offers little value. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Nobody speaks English even that they can see where the booking is made and all. No service and they don’t even care and don’t even know about customer care. It was not at all like the pictures and it was like that they took their house and rented it out. I don’t understand how they can call it hotel. I guess they don’t know the meaning of hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Neugrabener Hof. The staff were accommodating, the room was clean and had more than enough room for our group of 3. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Hamburg again.

There was lack of power outlets. Actually there were more of them in bathroom that room itself. I´m used to bed having outlet at each side.... It´s locaton .... in´t on busy noisy street, so shops are close by, so are the cars. And lastly ... drain in shower could use some tweaking. more water could go in that managed to go out.

Big Varning. A hotel if they dont notice about it. You have to expect your own bathroom in the room. The bathrom was located outside the romm to share with other romm. There is no info about that in the booking or the info about the hotel Very small rom. And the reception was closed when we arrive. we have to call to get the room key from a key box.

The Hotel Neugrabener Hof is a nice choice about a 25 minute journey from Central Station on the S Bahn. The S Bahn station is a 10 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel is on the main road and yet, it is very quiet in the evening. The breakfast buffet counter and tables were set up with loving care. The coffee is a special treat each cup ground to perfection! My room was comfortable and the bath room was recently updated. This made my week's stay in Hamburg most enjoyable!

We arrived in the night, we called and a nice man gave us the kode to our room. But when we arrived the room it was intensly warm, but cold outside, so we think the heat was on. When we went to bed, we realised we were not alone, we killed over 20 bugs, we dont know what kind. So two of us didnt sleep at all that night, we just looked for bugs to kill all night.

We contacted the hotel prior to booking to confirm they had availability for our dog, they did but at a higher rate than on Expedia. We booked with Expedia and upon arrival were told our room was not ready as there was flooding and water on the floor. Asked us to wait and hour or so as they cleaned the room which would have made us extremely late for the concert we were going to. Accommodated us by sending us to a sister hotel, which was fine, front counter staff was cordial, room was clean, nothing special. Thankfully close to the train station, we missed the first 30 mins of the show.

Room was just enough, as it had a fridge for our cold things, however a renovation of room would be nice. Bed ok but really low. Pillows quite small and dense (bit too low for the neck). In bathroom, the housekeeper somehow forgot to stock up the toilet roll, the tissue box AND the hand soap bottle. After 9 PM nobody at reception desk to request these items. Disappointing. Thankfully we always carry all these things in suitcase just in case. Also according Expedia, there should be bottle of mineral water for guests. I have checked with reception desk however this was according to them not the case.

The hotel is close to the highway, the rooms were clean and spacious, the shower is small and can only fit one person at a time. The bed was comfortable. There is free parking available, and the hotel is very close to the shops and restaurants. The staff is very polite.

It was easy to find and near the highway, a lot of parking facilities around the buildings. The pictures and descriptions of the accommodations are very similar to reality. I checked in late, and the 24/7 service included self-service picking up the key in a key box. The idea is good, but I would really have appreciated to get direct info from the hotel about the key box instructions, so I could easily check-in instead of being met by a closed reception and i need of calling them.

I loved the fact that we were able to check in through the phone before we arrived and they gave us instructions to get access to our room, because we arrived at midnight. The hotel has free parking, it is very close to public transportation, staff speaks English, they offer breakfast for a reasonable price, and our room was clean.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming when we checked in. Unfortunately the room was unbearably warm, and when we tried to check out at 5:30AM (24 hour service according to the hotel) we were unable to reach them. The room was clean, but without air conditioning and the wi-fi wasn't able to cover our room

First, no e-mail or website to contact the hotel regarding late check in. There was a phone number, that was not in use. We had to call Hotels.com to get them to contact the hotel regarding late check in. When we did arrive, there was a note saying "Please call". After calling 2 times, someone answered to explain where they had hid the key for us. The room was not the at all as displayed on the pictures. The house was newly renovated, although the furniture was very old. No mirror, hot water or toilet paper. All we got the day after, when checking out, was a "Sorry". Not to be recommended, unfortunately.
