I stayed at “Camera Deluxe, vista montagna” room. The picture is misleading because the window view is to another house and not the view in the picture at all. Also, the main picture of property (with the balcony view is available only to the balcony room and it’s also misleading). I booked 3H before arrival, and missed the instruction to contact 24H before. At arrival I tried to contact them but they publish wrong number in the property information and didn’t answer to internal message. But customer support was helpful. The room was clean, comfort and has a luxurious atmosphere like the rest of the photos. Except check-in problem and the view it was a good experience.

The view was 10000/10. It was the best part. Beyond stunning. Perfect for sunset! The room looked exactly like the photos online and was clean and well stocked. Cost of snacks, drinks, robes, and soap was clearly marked.

Fantastic room with fabulous views! Although there’s no onsite reception, The First team were very responsive and even helped us with a discount for Via Dell’Amore. They also provided lots of helpful information about the area and gave us special treatment at their restaurant, La Regina. The minibar and water are chargeable, but all the details are clearly displayed. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return!

Take note that the ad says stay in Riomaggiore but the room is in Manarola. So make sure you have the location and directions so you know where to go!! You also need to get room entry instructions from the host via WhatsApp. Ensure you have this ready as you do your check in because there is no staff at the location to assist you to get in. Room we stayed in was very nice and clean. There is a great restaurant Trattoria Billy which is only a 2 minute walk from the room. They are excellent!!

Fantastic room in Manarola. No place could have a better view! Clean and comfortable too! The restaurant under same ownership was attentive to needs and great food. Everyone nice. Owner very responsive.

The balcony shown was not the one on our property. The room itself was shabby with broken things and generally needed decorating. The door didn’t open using the card as instructed, possibly as the entry panel was smashed. Lights on one side of the bed didn’t work. The proprietor left coffee machine and drinks / snacks. While it’s standard to pay for mini bar items, they charged for water and coffee pods which felt tight given the cost of the room.

Property was falsely advertised. Luggage’s needed to be carried up 4 flights of very narrow stairs. No front desk. Communication was only by email and no response from attempts by phone. The room had NO VIEW other than a tree. They advertised a view from the room. The bathroom was a joke. Miserable property and management. Hotels.com should vet the properties on their site. It’s not all about the money.

This is a great spot however a few tips You’ll get a code and instructions via What’s App so be sure to check that before you arrive Do not follow google map from the train station it will take you up about 500 stairs! Just turn right from the tunnel and go up the hill! Also this is hotel is technically in Manarola not riomaggorie! Beautiful spot and worth the hike to get there!

Amazing views but be prepared for a 600 step hike to get to your room. Unless you have been to the area, your map will route you crazily in finding this spot. I will not return to Cinque Terra.

The property by far has the best views in town. The walk to get there is tougher than you’d think lugging baggage but well worth it. Bathroom and bedroom could use some bleach to get rid of some minor mold but it’s a great place! Host was fantastic.

The room and area were fantastic, however, a few things knocked the stars down. First is that the place is quite a walk from the train station with luggage, and was not easy to find. Second, there is no elevator to get your luggage up to the room, so after you are exhausted from making your way from the train station, you also have to haul your luggage up to the room. Third, it wasn't immediately obvious that there was a retractable screen in the bathroom for privacy, so there were some awkward family moments until it was discovered that some obscure little remotes raised and lowered a screen to mask the bathroom. :D The view from the room is AMAZING, and check-in was very easy, with an online process and then picking up the key from a lock box.

This property is difficult to find, almost impossible to open the door (the lock doesn’t work properly) and there’s nobody on site to help if you need it. The room was partially clean (white powder on surfaces) and needed some maintenance (disappointing for the extravagant price). We booked the honeymoon suite and there was a lot of black mold in the ceiling. There was water damage in the ceiling and bathroom. The bathrobe was ripped, there wasn’t enough toilet paper for our stay, everything in the room is for an extra charge. That being said, the linens were comfortable and the view was absolutely stunning!! Really, you are paying for the view. Bottom line… it’s beautiful, but only stay here if you’re fit (it’s a climb to get there) and patient (it’s hard to get in!).

Beautiful room. Very comfortable beds. Modern furnishings. View is amazing and check in easy and efficient. Staff very helpful on arrival. We were only able to stay one night but would have loved to stay longer. Definitely would come back if available. The area is know for its beauty and there are narrow stairs as it is built into the mountain, but there is also a winding road/path up to the residence so stairs can be minimized. There are two terraces to sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the town and hills.

Don’t stay here!!! This place had good reviews on this site but I should’ve looked at Google. Incredibly terrible customer service at this place that has good potential. This isn’t a real hotel. The staff communicated via WhatsApp which is fine. They sent me instructions on how to check in. However, it wasn’t very clear on how to actually get to the place itself. Once we finally arrived, we got the key from a lockbox. However; it was a generic skeleton key and incredibly difficult to use. We got in the suite and hotels.com sends their usual “how was check-in” email. I answer honestly. They must’ve notified the staff because I then got rude messages on WhatsApp threatening to evict me for leaving a negative “review”. Couldn’t believe it.

We don’t understand some of the poor reviews of this place. We had a magical stay in the junior suite. We canceled all our dinner reservations to have dinner on the balcony all nights. You can’t get a better balcony and sunset view in Manarola. Yes, it is of course some steps and steep hills to walk but that is the case for all hotels in Cinque Terre, and it is honestly not that bad. It’s only like 2-3 floors. The people that have pointed out this as a problem have clearly not done their research on where they are going. Check in was easy. The owner will message you on hotels.com the day or a few days before and ask to write you on WhatsApp where he will send you information about self check in. We, a couple in our thirties from Sweden, will definitely come back.

The view alone at this property from the balcony is worth the cost! My husband and I stayed in La Spezia and booked one night in Manarola at this property. We took in the breathtaking sunset from the balcony and then watched a lightning storm off in the distance under the stars. A memorable stay for sure!

The check-in process was a nightmare and the staff was incredibly rude. There is no lobby or staff that work physically on the property. We booked through Orbitz. Received a message the day prior asking for our contact information so we could receive the check-in code to get our room keys. I responded through Orbitz as there was no other email provided. I never heard back, so for several hours prior to our arrival I tried to call, no less than 5 times. We were placed on hold for > 10 minutes at a time, then the call would drop. Got to the property could not get into our room, no staff was there, tried calling again with no success. Called Orbitz, who also struggled to get in touch with anyone for > 20 minutes. Finally they were able to get in touch with someone who was so rude, yelled at the Orbitz agent and then hung up the phone. Orbitz called to offer to cancel our reservation and help us find new accommodations. While they were searching for other hotels, I finally received a phone call from the hotel. The gentleman, who would not give me his name despite my asking, was exceptionally rude to me. I explained we had been trying to reach him for quite some time. He told me "stop being hysterical, that's my problem, not his." He went on to tell me that he "doesn't care if we had to end up sleeping on the streets." We were finally able to get in after multiple more phone calls and texts, but I was so disappointed with their customer service.

Such a beautiful terrace! The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Suggestions for improvement considering the price: we were only given 1 bathrobe, the terrace should have an umbrella already setup, the room needs a kettle for making tea and ideally a mini-fridge and microwave. We loved our stay and would still highly recommend.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the bed was very comfortable. Locking the door and using the A/C were very confusing. It would have been nice to receive more detailed instructions from the staff, who are not on site. They responded quickly via WhatsApp but were not very friendly or helpful. They provided a wine key that was missing a corkscrew, so when we tried to enjoy a bottle of wine at sunset, we had to walk to a nearby restaurant to ask them to open it. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they ignored that part of my message. For the price, I expected more attention to detail and a much more welcoming and helpful staff.
