Comfortable stay in an awesome location!

The property was clean, comfortable and an efficient use of the space. The AC works well, and the windows provided a great view (and would allow in a nice breeze if there wasn’t such a heatwave when we were there!).

The stairs were a bit intense with our luggage, but that’s a factor of the entire area.

Great location, and great choice from all 5.

Very nice apt with great location. We blindly went to Manarola from all the 5 cities and we were not dissapointed. Paolo was a great host and very helpful and quick to answer. We visited all the 5terre except Corniglia because we had enough of walking and when we got off the train and saw the cliff high stairs we said no thanks and got back in the train. I reccomend Manarola out of the 5 because you can easily go on foot to Riomaggiore and back ( recently opened lover's walk - not hiking thank God, around 10eur/person access, totally worth it - they say it's 1km but it's not, much shorter, lovely) and is not so crammed somehow; for the rest by train - we arrived in 5terre when a cruise ship was stopped in La Spezia and the trains were packed full - and very very late, 10-20 or even 30mins late, that's no problem if you move around in 5terre but if you need to catch a flight in Milan or Bologna bear this in mind - we missed a connection in Genoa but all was well in the end.

Nice accommodation with great views across Manarola

The room was clean and fresh with great light from the windows and a wonderful view over Manarola. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was compact, but well laid out. There was a small fridge, a microwave, a coffee machine and a few basic kitchen dishes, which was all we needed. The host was great with communication and planned to meet us on arrival, but as our main train was delayed over two hours, our arrival was then much later than we had planned.

We found the 55 steps from the road to the front door of the building a challenge, but this is Cinque Terre, where nothing is flat, so we got used to it. We would have liked to see even a small TV in the room, to relax and recover in front of after long days of exploring and walking and hiking, but it was not on the list of facilities provided, so we can’t really say it was a surprise.

Idyllic apartment in the center of stunning Manarola

Idyllic setting right in the heart of Manarola close to restaurants, train station and harbour. Excellent communication via Whatsapp and extremely accommodating hosts. Unit situated in quiet back alley is comfy and exceptionally clean. YOu have to try Trattoria da Billy. Also it is highly recommended to take the shuttle to Volastra for hike to Corniglia

Simple stay in a lovely town!

If you’re planning on travelling to Cinque Terre and seeing what the region has to offer this is a great location to use as a simplistic and functional base, with lovely restaurants and things to do on your doorstep. Communication from the owner was responsive and clear via WhatsApp, especially when asking about recommendations, etc!

The facilities of the room were pretty basic but functional, wouldn’t say it was a romantic accommodation for how romantic the setting is! Note - people sitting on the stairs outside the property made accessing the property (especially with bags) a struggle at times.

Exceptional

First of all, manorola is the place to stay of all the cinqueterre. Beautiful, great restaurants and not nearly as over touristed as vernazza. Things seem to stay open later there than rio maggiore as well. Second, you’re going to be walking up steps anywhere you stay so that is not a negative. Ca de Angelo was perfect because of its central location. It’s very clean, the shower is terrific, and the owner is super responsive with any questions you may have or help you may need. He can meet you at the station to help walk you there (5 minutes) or send very clear instructions if you’re not sure when you’re arriving. Also, it’s very affordable and a fantastic bang for your euro. Save your money by staying here and you’ll have enough for a nice meal or two!

Gian Paulo was extremely accommodating, he even met us at the train station when we arrived in Manarola. This is a family-owned establishment and they take pride in their accommodations. We were here for our honeymoon and it was perfectly quaint, clean, and amazing location with Mediterranean views!

Loved loved loved our stay here. Great location, only a short walk to the water and shops. Check in process was easy & the room was nice and spacious. The room itself was pretty basic but was massive in size and everything we needed. Great value for money and would return in a heartbeat.

This was AMAZING!!!

We had two rooms, one of which had a beautiful view of the sea and the other which had a cute patio which came in handy for drying our clothes. There were a LOT of stairs to get there but totally worth it!! You are staying on top of a mountain, after all. The rooms had great air conditioning which was very important in the 95 degree August heat. It’s just a quick trip down the 55 or so steps to the main road where the restaurants and quaint shops are located. This is a perfect village to make your home base for visiting the other 4 villages. Our girls joined the group of young people jumping off the big rocks into the sea . We loved our stay here and only wish we had stayed an extra day or two.

The towels are scratchy which we also experienced in Venice so maybe common in Italy?

Beautiful family run guesthouse experience, close to the sea

Gian Paolo met us by the train station and took us to the guesthouse. It was BLAZING hot so it was really kind. He told us the family history of them in the town for 80 years. The room is super cute, two min walk to swim spot, grocery store, restaurants. Really good vibe. He also sent me 5 or six links via Whatsapp to ferry info, restaurant recommendations and the surrounding villages. The air conditioning was really great in the heat wave. The price is super reasonable for the location.

Amazing!

We stayed here for one night while on the cinque terre and it was very enjoyable. Gian met us at the train station and took us to the apartment, which was very nice so we didn’t have to try to find it ourselves. The apartment itself was super clean and nice, we will definitely be staying there again if we find ourselves back in the area.

Great place to stay/value for money.

My (adult) daughter broke a bone in her hand earlier in our trip. The owner kindly came to the station to help carry her backpack, even waited an extra 1/2 hour when we missed the planned train. Exceptional service. Great facilities, comfy, view, not too many step!
