Good location, excellent property.

The communications prior to our arrival were clear and concise. Moreover, the owner also provided us with the discounted breakfast as well as the discount for the combo ticket for the daily train + trail pass. I would like to also mention that we liked the memory foam mattresses and the pillows.

View of the town

We were lucky to spend 2 nights in Manarola. Communication with the host was wonderful, especially when our train was delayed and they were able to meet our late arrival. Optional breakfast at the cafe downstairs was a good value.

Perfect

We loved the room and the balcony that looked Out over the street. It was nice to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and coffee in the morning. Everyone was so friendly. The cafe just below the accommodations was a nice surprise. The discounted breakfast was perfect before hiking the trails.

Highly recommend!

Great location close to train station and restaurants but quiet and very safe. You don’t have a view of the sea but you have a nice balcony with a great view of the mountainside and people watching while enjoying a bottle of wine. The owner is extremely kind and takes much pride in his property and it shows. It is clean and has everything you need. The homemade limoncello was a plus. We even got the recipe!

The location was perfect, close to restaurants and stores. Donatella and Haroldo are a great couple that welcomed us warmly and were helpful in every way we could hope for. Very clean and inviting room.

Fabulous! Had a wonderful time in the Cinque Terre!

We only had breakfast one day and it was fine. The lodging was in a great spot…a bit off the beat in track from the main road which we liked. Also loved the balcony!

For Donatella’s reference…we went to Trattoria Dal Billy at your recommendation and loved it but you had mentioned there was a discount for staying with you and they didn’t know anything about it so it was kind of embarrassing. Just a heads up for future recommendations to your guests.

The perfect stay

We are grateful for a fantastic 3 night stay with Donatella and Alex at their beautiful place. They were friendly and accommodating hosts who gave us recommendations for excursions and eateries which we did all of and had a wonderful time. The apartment was fully equipped and spotless with a beautiful balcony and view at a quieter location off the main street. We enjoyed the substantial breakfast from the cafe downstairs. We highly recommend booking a stay at da Paulin.

It was like staying in a postcard.

The hosts were exceptionally helpful and available. Our room with a balcony was a highlight of our stay as we had a beautiful view and great time enjoying picnics and people watching.

Good if you want to explore the towns and the stay doesn't matter

I loved the location because it was just a few minutes walk from the station. So its the perfect spot to travel all the five towns. It is also very conveniently located near the best spots in Manarola hence location is the charm of this place. The hosts are also very friendly people.

The room was very small and the bed was not at all good. Even though the prices are expensive, you don't get the value for the money that you end up paying. There were no amenities available as such and there is only enough space outside for 2 people to have breakfast (you won't be able to eat it in your room because it is so cramped).

Perfect location and amazing hosts

Large comfortable room in a great location - just a short stroll from the train station and across the road from the shuttle stop to Volastra. The hosts were really lovely and hospitable, with great communication. Aircon was really efficient and appreciated during the June heat wave. Amazing view out the room window of the town and mountain side.

The light in the bathroom turned on and off automatically. This was fine until I was in the shower and the light kept going out. It comes back on though if you wave your hand out the top of the shower! The shower gel was supplied in little sachets - not great for the environment.

The best accomodation we had in Italy!

Affittacamere Da Paulin was the best accomodation we stayed in during our journey in Italy. The room was very comfortable and clean and had everything you might need. There is a cosy little balcony where you can look at the people walking around the central street. But the best thing about the accomodation is its host. Eraldo did absolutely everything our stay in Manarola was pleasant and memorable. Thank you so much! If you are hesitant, don't even think - just book this accommodation and you will have wonderful time in Cinque Terre!

It was fantastic!

The location of Da Paulin was great, the room was excellent, very clean and had everything we needed. Donatella was a great host, giving us tips for hikes and places to go to in the area. Very responsive via messages as well.

Amazing!

Amazing place. It seems to have been refurbished recently. The optional breakfast in the coffee shop downstairs is very convenient and cheap for the quantity/quality; only 8 euros per person. The host, Donatella, was super nice and warm.

The most amazing place is Manarola and the accommodation was perfect for our needs.

Neat and tidy and a great location. I messed up and thought we had one more night and so went out for the morning. Our poor hosts had to clear all our luggage, toiletries, etc. out of our room and then let us know when we got back at 2pm. They were so accommodating and even found us one night accommodation up the road with a friend. What could have been a tricky, messy situation was handle professionally and gently. Thank you very much.

Magical Seaside Retreat

We had an amazing stay in a magical place. Our hosts were so helpful with reservations and guidance to experiencing Cinque Terre trails. They truly care about the experience you’re having. The property was perfect! So comfortable and clean, and quaint. The hosts were the best part of the entire experience. I truly treasure the time in Manarola and would stay here forever if I could!

The room was stunning and the hosts were extremely nice! The location is also great because it's easy to get to from the train but it's far enough up the hill (not very far really, like a 50m walk) for it to not be too loud at night!

Room was on the main road, but on a quiet bend of the street so it was quiet at night. Facilities were very nice. Hosts were friendly and provided excellent restaurant suggestions (our favorite was Aristides!)

If you left the window open, you will be awoken by trucks unloading and church bells ringing. closing the window solves it (and there is air conditioning). Room was on 2nd floor so pack lightly (which we did!)

Lovely room & stay with wonderful local innkeepers

Lovely room with small but beautifully appointed bathroom and kind and attentive owners. Welcome toast with homemade limoncello was above and beyond - plus delicious. Small upstairs patio overlooking the (steep) small street was nice to relax on. Local shuttle to Nat'l park and other locations nearby. Arrangements for well priced tasty breakfast at bar downstairs. Recycling made easy. Great location. This is really what travel is about - human connection. A truly relaxing and top notch stay.

Of course, many stairs - it's Cinque Terra. Bathroom lights on timers can surprise you in the shower - open door & they'll pop back on. Outside door key a bit tricky. I'm really reaching, though, this stay was really great.

This hotel was stunning, great location, amazing views from the room and really clean and comfortable. Donatella was so lovely and kind, she gave us great recommendations, will definitely be staying here again, great base for exploring Cinque Terre.

Great spot!

The location was very easy to find and just up the hill with about 10 steps to our room, which was nice. We also liked Manarola the best. Bed was comfortable and ac worked well, which was great as it was very hot! The owner gave good dinner recommendations as well.

Lovely hotel with very welcoming owners!

Lovely place to stay! The owners were lovely and made us feel so welcome. The location is outstanding, near all the main amenities but away from the busy Main Street. Me and my partner loved the outdoor area to relax on the evening. The breakfast is so good and great value for money, not part of the hotel but you get a discount and it’s in the same building. We hope to come back one day!
