The A/C wasn’t working, and it was very uncomfortable to sleep at night. We went to Pfistern for dinner, but they said they didn’t have any reservation for us, even though the hotel had assured us they called. Anyway, overall it was just an okay experience. The staff was friendly, though.

This hotel was amazing. It was very clean. More than that the service we received was exemplary. We hadn’t booked parking as we thought it would be available. The staff made extra effort to find parking with their sister hotel. Even did valet service for us by, as we found out at checkout, the GM Marc himself! What a wonderful hotel! I would recommend to any family members traveling to Switzerland.

Service by staff was impeccable but no hot water for a full day so couldn’t shower after full day of activity and felt grimey so I have mixed feelings about this hotel.

Property and room was beautiful. We had wanted to extend our stay and had to make second booking for a different room. The general manager, Martin, noted this and reached out and managed to arrange for us combine both bookings and stay in the same room for both days. This made it a lot more convenient as we didn't have to deal with two different bookings on each day. Love the attention to detail by the staff.

The staff gave us suggestions for places to tour while in the area. Then unexpectedly, my wife had a medical emergency and was admitted to the hospital. The staff assisted me with taxi transportation, and because my reservation ended, and there were no more rooms available, they arranged for me to move to a lovely nearby hotel, moving my luggage for me. Amid all of this they did not forget to inquire about how my wife was feeling and they also gave me a much-needed umbrella late at night.

Well, it is a differently designed (dark with very dim lighting all around) hotel,which only can be understood in the night time when those back lighted posters on ceilings,walls or headboards glow otherwise in its a dark place even in day.The room was all wood floor, use of stainless steel decently in furniture along with wood was nice too. But the hallways and outside the rooms seemed as if they are in a 1 star hotel and not understandable. Although it is differently designed hotel but does not confirm to a Five Star status, but a “slapped” cheap and dark minimalistic design. The staff is super professional, polite and friendly. Room service and presentation is excellent. Location is very close to everything happening.

I went out one day and returned about 9 pm and found that my room has not been cleaned , I asked if the room could be cleaned and was told that there is no cleaner at that time . I was told that the non disturbed sign was on but I had no idea that the light was on. There was a bottle of complimentary water when I checked in and I asked why there wasn’t one for the 2nd day and was told that’s I only get one bottle for the entire of my stay at the hotel regardless how many nights I would stay at the property. I was woken up at 7 am by lots construction noises and I called hotel.com customer service to complain about the noise at the property . Hotel.com contacted the property for me and said the hotel manager would like to speak to me regarding my complain about the noise to see if he can make some sort of compensation to me. When I checked out I asked if the manger wants to talk to me regarding the noise issue I had. I was told to walk to another of their sister hotel to wait there to see if the manager has the time to talk to me. I said I never heard that if I have a prob with a hotel I need to track down their manger and wait fo be seen my him esp in a 5 Star hotel. The receptionist told me that they are not a 5 Star hotel.

Outstanding, very comfortable experience either for family, or romantic getaway. Our suite was like a treehouse (albeit an elegant one), big picture windows overlooking the park. All of the amenities were perfect, the staff unfailingly polite and efficient, the location central and convenient. Five stars all the way around.

Great spot, easy walking distance from station, kappelbrucke, old town, sleeping lion etc. The whole hotel is in a state of constant darkness and we had excellent sunshine whilst there. If you our your partner like to blow dry your hair, apply makeup, shave etc you will need to bring a torch. They don't appear to have duvets for the double beds so you end up with 2 separate ones - could be a good thing if your partner's a quilt thief! The ceiling decoration in our room was a bit odd, obviously something taken from a film, but sleeping under the image of a young woman undressing whilst having a gun held to her head may not appeal to everyone. Finally be aware when booking through Expedia it will tell you that "Taxes" are included but, according to the hotel, this is just VAT so you will be charged tourist/resort tax - it is only CHF3.55 per night, not much but the information is misleading at best.

Great location, beds were super hard and no power points near Bed or desk for charging, no aircon enabled- booked this hotel specifically for aircon and location, window had to be left open for cool air which was terrible in the morning as light and street noise was a huge problem

Was looking for a last minute hotel near the train station. The arrival was a pleasure, we were clearly expected. Very convenient to the main train station (3 blocks). Great staff. We arrived early and they let us check in early. Don't be in a hurry for the elevator...there is only one and it is slow. Room was well appointed and had a little mini-fridge, which is an asset in my book. Very clean. My wife loved the 6 foot long bathtub as she could soak completely in it when we arrived. I have to mention the bath further. Nice, clean, modern, long tub. But common sense took a back-seat to aesthetics when designing the tub / shower. The tiny, contemporary shower doors don't keep the water in, and the shower head can't be put in position to keep the water in, making you mimic the Hunchback of Notre Dame when showering. Only other complaints with our stay...we purchased the round-trip tickets to Mt. Pilatus directly from the hotel desk. They gave great directions on the trip, which is an all-day event. The one thing they did not communicate was the time of the last of the boat trip from the bottom of the incline railway back to Luzerne (something we were both looking forward to after a full day of sightseeing). When we got to the boat dock, we found out we missed the last one (1640 hours) by just a few minutes. Would have been nice to know this as we would have left the mountain sooner. Also, our bill showed 60 francs for a breakfast we didn't eat, which was happily refunded.

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was located across from a little park about 2 blocks from the lake and entrance to the old bridge that crosses into the old town. The staff was friendly and very helpful. The rooms were very nice with good air conditioning.

Received a room upgrade upon arrival for 3 occupants. The decor is modern; but may not be the most comfortable for some. The shower and bath combination was a bit tricky to handle. Location is great, within walking distance. The hotel restaurant was disappointing.

This was a lovely hotel and the staff were very helpful. The restaurant was fabulous for dinner, but I wasn't so enthusiastic about breakfast. The morning meal was waiter service only and comprised of muesli, yoghurt, pro-biotic drink, fresh orange juice, coffee, omelette, cold croissants, cold ham, cheese, fruit salad and fresh bread. The food was nice enough, it just wasn't to my taste. The only other slight issue that we experienced was with the shower. The wall mount only allowed the shower head to be attached to the wall sideways, which meant that for taller people (over about 165cm), it got a bit uncomfortable for the back and neck.
