I came with my wife for a 5 day 4 night holiday at Dwaraka in Ubud. The rooms and facilities were good. Had a minor issue with the air-conditioning, which was resolve promptly. The food was alright and the staff were gracious and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay

I stayed here on a solo trip to Ubud with rest & relaxation in mind and I couldn’t be more pleased. This a stunning Balinese sanctuary just out of the hustle and bustle of the town centre but only about 1km up the hill, more or less. If you’re looking for Balinese style architecture and character with the feeling of being in a beautiful jungle oasis-this is it.
There’s a circle K mart next door. They also run a shuttle to & from the centre throughout the day. They provide you with earplugs (which you’ll need) sometimes the local dogs get loud at night…If you don’t get a villa with a private pool and you stay in a room (like me-I had the rice field view room)... I asked for a room on the top floor and this gave me an amazing view of the mountain every morning from my bed! Perfect place for rest & relaxation.

My stay at Dwaraka The Royal Villas in Ubud, Bali, was mostly enjoyable thanks to the stunning Balinese architecture, serene surroundings, and private pool villa that offered a peaceful retreat. The location is convenient, close to Ubud center, and the overall ambiance felt luxurious and culturally immersive.
However, the air conditioning in our room was not working properly during our stay, which made it uncomfortable, especially in the tropical heat. Additionally, as someone who prefers Indian cuisine, I was disappointed that no Indian food was available on the menu or through room service – the options were primarily Balinese and international.
That said, the staff were exceptionally polite, helpful, and attentive – they tried their best to address the AC issue and made us feel welcome throughout. It’s a great property overall, but these points could be improved for guests with specific needs. I’d consider returning if these are addressed.
