Amazing place for relaxation and great food!

The purist was amazing, room was so spacious and amazing having our own pool. Was very relaxing atmosphere. Staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast and food in restauran was amazing!

Was a little far from town Centre and not really walkable roads. They offer a shuttle but you need to taxi back

Authentic Luxury

The staff and food in the in-house restaurant were exceptional. Special mention for Depi and Choki in the restaurant and Sudarma all round star. All staff were lovely and the facilities are good value and authentic. We have been 3 times so we must love it.

A very beautiful hotel, very quiet and the restaurant was amazing

The room was really unique with an outdoor shower and tub. It also had an outdoor sitting area. However, it rained most of the times so we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor spaces. We loved the restaurant. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was excellent!

The accommodation was outstanding - a real feeling of luxury - everything seemed unique and high end. The staff were marvellous and couldn’t do enough for you. Amazing private pool in our Jungle suite.

This was a wonderful property and a luxurious stay while still being reasonably priced.

This was such a perfect place to decompress on our last few days of our trip. The rooms are fantastic- beautiful, clean and with a fantastic bathroom. The pool is lovely and clean. The hotel itself is gorgeous/ feels like you are in the jungle when you are just a few minutes from the center of Ubud. Loved that they had a scheduled shuttle into town but you could also get a private car too . Breakfast and afternoon tea was wonderful- full service for breakfast

This is such a beautifully designed property. We absolutely loved our stay here. The food is phenomenal and the spa treatments are wonderful. The staff are so kind and helpful. Stay here, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic place!

We absolutely loved our stay in The Purist Villas! The staff were extremely kind and attentive, making us feel right at home. The place is generous, comfortable, and beautifully designed, creating a perfect atmosphere for relaxation. Breakfast and tea time were definite highlights, with delicious food that exceeded our expectations. We truly enjoyed every meal! On our last day, when our driver was two hours late for our late checkout, the hotel graciously offered us complimentary tea and cakes, which was a lovely gesture. We would definitely come here again—and again! Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ubud!

I would definitely return to the Purist

The Purist is located 5-10 minutes by taxi (it can take longer if there is traffic due to any ceremony) from Ubud center surrounded by local life. Inside the territory of the hotel is very quite. We lived in a Hill Villa, it has nice pool area and great view from the terrace. There 2 rooms, one of the with king bed on the first floor with steep steps up. Up there a toilet and a small garderobe. The territory is well maintained, the service are great and attentive. The food for breakfast and dinner are of good quality. The purist offers vegetarian and pescatarian menu.

There were some minor problems in the villa with tap of water on the first floor and no possible to switch on the ceiling shower. But not everything is perfect on Bali, it is a game rule.

Beautiful & comfortable sanctuary in the midst of Ubud’s business

The room was beautiful, lovely traditional furniture & decor, spacious & comfortable. The staff too are very kind & welcoming. The breakfast was freshly prepared a la carte & dinner options are reasonably priced but limited choices.

No complaints at all but maybe a mention that we had the purist massage at the in site spa & felt it to be okay-ish.

A haven from Ubud!

My room was a garden suite and was large and comfortable. There was a small outside seating area. The one pool was by the restaurant but I preferred the other one which was very quiet and there were plenty of sunloungers. Towels for the pool were readily available. Breakfast was fabulous and I had a lesson on making the delicious omelette from Eddie, Staff could not do enough to help and were always smiling. My room was serviced regularly and to a high quality. Ubud is very busy and it was good to get back to some tranquility. The hotel runs 4 shuttles a day and they are like clockwork. i also booked 2 taxis through the hotel and as I was travelling alone was very pleased that they turned up on time!

welcome oasis from the madness of ubud

I like what the owners have created reminds me of the type of resort and villa I've stayed in ibiza but with a balinesse twist . clean crisp interiors cool outside areas but spa interior was a little disappointing like it was added as an afterthought but staff were exceptional 👌 especially the masseuse who attended me . overall a great location away from the absolute madness and hustle and bustle of ubud a nice little oasis close to the city with the added bonus of a complimentary shuttle throughout the day definitely gets a 7/10 from us

unfortunately for this resort a couple of things let it down and this is just our opion so we tend to be picky as we travel to alot of these type of hotels so other people might not find it an issue First issue we have is the staff when they are moving between the common areas shouting to 1 another from villa to villa when cleaning or when passing villas that are occupied. the resort is marketed as a wellness calm oasis and the 2 days I spent here trying to relax were anything but unfortunately. the staff are all young and full of energy which I totally get but management and owners need to be aware for the high cost and what people come here for the experience is not been achieved the best hotels the staff move seamlessly and quietly without the guest knowing. second issue we had again concerns noise but this time from other guests with young children again this is a personal gripe and won't bother alot of people but I always leave an honest review so people can make up their own minds unfortunately we had a family with very young kids playing and shouting and again took a bit away from the relaxing experience. maybe an age limit or adults only . and finally the menu don't know what to say I'm a carnivore so I found ourselves ordering in every day as the choice of vegan or vegetarian only is not what I'd expect from a 5 star resort

Our stay at Villa Purist was nothing short of magical. This serene retreat is a true hidden gem — close enough to the heart of Ubud for easy access, yet perfectly tucked away from the hustle and bustle, offering the peace and quiet I was craving. The villa itself is beautifully designed, blending comfort and nature effortlessly. Mornings were a dream — waking up to tropical forest sounds and enjoying a delicious breakfast with a variety of excellent options to choose from, all freshly made and beautifully presented. The staff were outstanding — genuinely warm, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made the stay feel extra special. The level of care and attentiveness from the staff is a beautiful reflection of the overall kindness and warmth of the Indonesian people. If you’re looking for a tranquil escape that still keeps you close to everything Ubud has to offer, I couldn’t recommend Villa Purist more. I’ll absolutely be back.

We stayed in the 2bd villa. This is actually two separate structures. Not awesome when your 3rd party is a 10 yr old. Air conditioning units need service as they didn’t really stay cool overnight.

Perfect oasis of calm with a touch of luxury

The Purist is a real gem. Superbly designed with a backdrop of a jungle and 2 stunning common use swimming pools. Tactfully designed villas inclusive of antiques and artifacts make your stay a truly luxury one. All staff are wonderful! Big shout out to Choki for being super welcoming and so friendly. Depi the little sunshine and embodiment of Balinese warm welcome. Puriani making sure you feel at home at breakfast Agus and Adi answering all questions and Eni solving any even the slightest of problems you might have. It was a real pleasure staying at such wonderful place. It’s an oasis of calm close to Ubud centre with great food and amazing staff 😊

Exceptional

The hotel (We booked a Jungle villa) was exceptional. From the warm welcome on arrival, to the room which was everything you could want in a hotel room. The breakfast was really good, but the staff, every single one we meet was friendly and helpful. The hotel isn’t to far from Ubud, and the hotel offers a free shuttle service, the spa on site is well worth a. Visit and not particularly expensive. I would definitely visit again.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Purist Villas in Ubud. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel truly welcome — warm, attentive, and always ready to help with anything I needed. They even gave me a complimentary upgrade, which was such a lovely surprise! The villa itself was stunning — peaceful, beautifully designed, and felt like a true escape into nature. Everything was spotless and so well maintained. I also loved the breakfast every morning — fresh, delicious, and full of local flavor. One of the highlights of my stay was trying out both the yoga and the massage at the spa. Both were excellent and incredibly relaxing. The service overall was fast, smooth, and very professional. Can’t wait to come back again!

Absolutely 5* Paradise

We couldn’t fault anything. This place is beautiful, clean, friendly staff always smiling, amazing accommodation with comfortable beds, two wonderful pools. Shuttle service to & from town. Afternoon tea is provided with a selection of savoury & sweet choices. Excellent breakfast & dinner menu. We had several Spa treatments which were heavenly. The Indonesian cooking class is not to be missed, Putu the chef is incredible. I could go on & on it was so wonderful, we will definitely return when we can

Good villa except full of mold smell inside

Amazing Bali style designed villa! All was really great except extreme mold smell.. You guys really need to remove it asap if you say the villa is 5 star rated accommodation. I asked the reception to fix the smell but they ended up not being able to fix it.

Wish we could have stayed much longer!

We had the most wonderful time - everything was perfect. We were worried it was too far from the main hub but the free shuttles offered each day made it easy to get in and out, and we liked being in a slightly quieter part of Ubud. Our villa was beautiful and having a pool was such a bonus. Delicious breakfasts each morning looking out at the jungle. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming. Our son loved feeding all the fish. We were all sad to leave!

The property and its grounds are amazing. The room we booked came with its own pool and it was simply amazing. The breakfast and afternoon tea was fairly good but the overall experience of the Spa, the super friendly staff and service was just fantastic. We will be back! Highly recommend this place!
