Relaxing and beautiful place in Ubud

Property is lovely, lots of green and water features, very calm, and a little away from the center of ubud which is loud and crowded. The hotel has a convenient shuttle and offers many activities on site: tea, yoga, offering making, morning walks, and more all included, and a very nice spa. Everyone was very helpfull and super nice to us. Room was spacious and clean with our own swimming pool which was awesome. Breakfast was delicious and the onsite resturant had reasonable prices and food was good too. They also offer private tours, we did two and our driver was very kind, local and knowledgeble. Thanks to Degus and Litzia who treated us very well during pur stay.

Lush jungle luxury - a true once in a lifetime kind of place that i'll compare every other accommodation to forever.

So much variety on the property – you can spend a good hour just exploring the grounds themselves even before you exit to explore the surrounding area. Everything is gorgeous. Everything is comfortable. The staff are incredible and very hospitable (almost Pluribus like in some ways, but I'm glad to have had the experience). The breaker for our AC switched off in the night so it got a little warm. We just asked them to flip it back, but instead they upgraded us to a room with a private pool. I have never experienced this level of hospitality and I'm so so glad I stayed here.

The spirit of Bali!

Everything about the Udaya was absolutely wonderful from the kindness of the staff to the lush tropical plant life around the property. It was peaceful with a beautiful expression of the Balinese culture in the restaurant menu, the opportunity to learn about Balinese clothing or, learning to prepare an offering to the gods, Balinese style. We took the convenient shuttle into Ubud several times and arranged a number of tours through the helpful staff of the Udaya. Highly recommend the yoga experience! The studio is an open air, bamboo structure on the roof. Yoga in a very natural, beautiful setting surrounded by greenery. Good memories, we would do it again!

Lovely place to stay near Ubud

The people who work here are absolutely wonderful, and go out of their way to see that your needs are met. The breakfast was very good, as was the late dinner we had upon arrival. The room was very clean, large and comfortable.

We thought we'd be a bit more in the "country", but Ubud is a decent size town. However, it's a 10 minute car ride into Ubud (free shuttle, no hassle). Still, that's on us.

The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to assist, which made the stay very pleasant. The facilities were well maintained and met all our needs. Overall, a comfortable and enjoyable experience. I would happily stay here again and recommend it to others.

If you’re planning to travel to the south of Bali, it’s worth noting that traffic congestion can be heavy, and travel times may be longer than expected.

Can highly recommend - feels like a hidden paradise!

Authentic architecture, interior. Beautiful, clean pools, and amazing service in general. Villas are beautiful - ours had a private pool with luscious trees and shrubs making it feel super private. It is only a few minutes from Ubud central, which is amazing to get out of the hustle and bustle chaos - but still close enough to walk to great restaurants and shopping. Hotel also offers a free shuttle! Staff are super friendly and professional!

Pool towels could be "fresher" / luxe - seems quite worn out and damp. But this doesnt affect our experience - it was still amazing

A tranquil oasis hosted by the most wonderful staff.

I loved the wonderful staff, they were so kind and friendly. The gardens were amazing and it was so peaceful. The morning yoga was very enjoyable.

Sadly we did not get to use the spa as ot was being renovated.

Lovely balinese hotel, close enough to the center but quiet and free shuttle!

The staff were lovely and the onsite spa was amazing. It was my birthday and the staff must of noticed the date on my passport, they sent a massive piece of delicious chocolate cake with candle, flowers and chocolate lettering to my room. I thought that was very sweet!! I loved the balinese style and the free shuttle to town.

The gardens and grounds were massive and lovely to walk around but could do with some more maintenance....same as the room, just little things like a paint refresh. Not a big deal but I stayed in a few places in ubud at the same price or cheaper and the facilities were kept better.

Perfect place to stay for bday trip

Lovely room with a garden view. The pool was amazing. We did the cooking class which was fun and the morning free yoga. There was a gym which was basic and very hot but still better than nothing. We booked the yoga hut candle lit dinner and it was so tasty - every course was 10/10. The staff were also fantastic.

They could have had more beds by the pool as it did get busy. Also the shower wet room made the bathroom area wet but again not a huge problem.

A truly memorable stay!

The property is beautiful, with spacious rooms, a pool and spa and thoughtful touches like complimentary aromatherapy. The staff were exceptionally attentive, and the breakfast spread was outstanding. The complimentary afternoon tea was a lovely surprise and added to the overall charm. After our first night, I casually mentioned to the manager that our room—being close to the restaurant and reception—picked up a bit of noise. Without me making a complaint or request, the manager immediately offered to move us to a quieter room for the rest of our stay. I was genuinely impressed by this proactive and considerate gesture. Highly recommended for both comfort and service!

Amamzing spa and resort experience.

We loved the decor and ambience of the place, very intimate and calming. We also love the peaceful nature of the place. All the staff were extremenly warm and friendly, we felt so welcomed and all our need met. We had Mount Batur Climb booked an the pickup was at 2pm and the staff went above and beyond to pack for us breakfast at 2pm

There was an occation where we were having our massage and there was an event happening on the Riverside Yoga Hut but the resort guest, there was loud thumping and screaming which utterly spoiled the whole serene and peaceful spa experience. We had to move to another location but lost the whole momentum of the experience.

Overall positive stay

I like the service, the beautiful pool and traditional Balinese style, unlimited fresh made breakfast and the famous flower bath but I did not had much time

The room smelled not good the humidifier and aroma therapy helped when we told them but this should have been set up prior arrival and not during the stay, they should check that, it was clean but could be cleaner like shower corner bed frames.

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Bali.

Beautiful hotel, just a bit outside of Ubud. We had very nice villa with private pool, which however was not heated, so in some occasions water was cold. But after all day in the heat it was nice to jump in and refresh. Room was very clean, large with comfortable bed. Hotel facilities were great! Massages were amazing! Their special baths are something special. Hotel staff is friendly and always helpful. Restaurant was nice, with variety of super delicious food, especially for breakfast. Fresh juices were amazing! We booked one evening private romantic dinner, which was amazing! Even though hotel was pretty full, it was still very relaxing and quiet. Location is great if you want to explore Ubud and areas around. They also offer free shuttle from hotel to Ubud centre and back several times a day. We enjoyed a lot. Highly recommend.

Exceptional hotel. Everything is perfect - staff are delightful and caring, food great. Try the floating breakfast if you have own pool. The rooms are amazing and the gardens are so pretty. The best thing has to be the Kaveera Spa - incredible spa experience- celebration of flowers

Thank you for our lovely stay

We spent our honeymoon in Udaya and it was perfection. The staff are super helpful, friendly and professional. Breakfast was just amazing. The villa is modern and always clean. They offer shuttle to and from Ubud centre every 2 hours which is very helpful as well.

The only thing we thought should be improved is quicker check-in and bringing the suitcases to the villa immediately. You should understand that most people had a very long flight and then 2-3 hours driving from airport to Ubud and people just want to shower and change their clothes straight away, but when you're keeping the suitcases in your lobby for half an hour, that is impossible.

A memorable stay !!

Centrally located in Ubud, this hotel offers excellent convenience with Ubud Market just 2 kilometres away and a shuttle service every two hours. It is ideally situated close to popular attractions like the Rice Terraces, Elephant Cave, Tirta Empul Temple, and the Monkey Forest. Our room was spacious and comfortable, and the Honeymoon room concept was interesting, though the floors and walls showed signs of age. What truly stood out was the exceptional warmth and attentiveness of the entire staff. They made us feel completely at home, always attentive and eager to ensure our comfort. We also booked a tour through the hotel, which was fantastic, with a very informative guide, despite the traffic delays. The breakfast options for vegetarians were limited but sufficient for our needs. A special recommendation for anyone staying here is to try the wedang Jahe, a deliciously refreshing ginger drink that is simply fantastic. Hotel provided unlimited water, fruits everyday, tea and coffee packets in the room. Overall, a memorable stay with wonderful service in the heart of Ubud.

Affordable Luxury

Udaya is one of the finest resorts we have ever stayed at. All of the communication for our bookings was prompt and courteous. Everything was perfect from our transfer from the airport back again four days later. The staff are some of the most polite and courteous people we've ever met. Everyone greeted us by name and with a smile. It was wonderful to feel like we were known during our stay. The room was spacious, the bed and linens extremely comfortable, and the bath and shower area absolutely beautiful. Breakfasts were plentiful and delicious with a nice variety of choices. We really enjoyed the fresh squeezed juice and delicious food to start our day. The grounds are simply beautiful. Everywhere you look there is something to catch the eye. We appreciated having so many different places to relax, especially by the pool and upstairs during happy hour listening to live acoustic music. The massages we received at the spa were amazing and priced very well as was the body scrub. The jacuzzi was incredibly relaxing at the end of the day and a great way to unwind in a tranquil and peaceful setting. Our stay was a 10 out of 10 and we would book here again in a heartbeat!

Great, luxurious and romantic stay! Recommend 100%

We used the spa services, morning yoga, private/romantic dinner, happy hour and they were all wonderful! The spa and flower bath were amazing and very relaxing for a rainy day. Our suite was in the main building and close by to the restaurant and yoga room, without having to take off our slippers while walking there. We loved the breakfast, which you could order as many entrees as you want, and they even brought more food to our room when we were in a rush to go on a tour. The staff was very attentive and personable. We felt like we were treated like royalty and enjoyed our stay. It rained the whole time, but we could still sit on our covered balcony anyways and enjoy the peace.

A pleasant overall stay.....

Friendly and helpful staff. Shuttle bus to and from Ubud. Relaxed vibe. Nice spacious room, with an authentic feel. Hotel WhatsApp.

2 nights here cost twice as much as a week in an equivalent hotel on the coast. The hillside location is not suitable for people with accessibility issues. Our pool villa had no sunshine due to the forest canopy, so the pool was too cold to use and we couldn't really use the garden area.

Nice jungle stay

Absolutely amazing service and great surroundings! The food was a dream and we had a great time.

Unfortunately our room was the furthest away from the reception and therefore quite uncomfortable sometimes. We had a cockroach in our room every day, but staff was nice about it and reacted very fast. In the end you’re in the middle of the jungle and stuff like this happens :) Overall our room was a bit outdated and could benefit from an upgrade. Massage prices are very high compared to the quality and prices you can get just down the street.

The perfect stay in Ubud

What an amazing stay at Udaya - beautiful hotel! The staff were incredibly helpful and kind - they helped to make my husband’s birthday really special. The breakfast a la carte was delicious. The spa was heavenly. We also loved the setting of the morning yoga, so peaceful. The location was great, 10 min from Ubud center. Usually there was some traffic but that’s the case everywhere in Bali!

Peaceful Jungle Escape with a Gorgeous View

I really enjoyed my stay! The pool was a highlight—perfect for relaxing after a day out. The jungle view from my upstairs room was absolutely stunning, especially in the morning. It gave a real sense of being immersed in nature. The breakfast was decent, not anything spectacular, but it did the job. Overall, a peaceful and pleasant experience.

The breakfast was à la carte, and while it was okay, the buffet section was minimal. I would have appreciated a more generous or thoughtfully curated breakfast overall. Still, it was a lovely and relaxing place to stay, ideal if you are looking to unwind and enjoy the tranquil setting.

Amazing stay in a charming hotel

Everything, from the beautiful surroundings, the pool area, morning yoga classes and tasty breakfast. We had an amazing stay and staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed.

Unfortunately during our stay there was road works next to the hotel so had to take a long turn (extra 10min) to reach every time. Also the rooms have a strong humidity smell, we asked to move and luckily the second room was better.
