Quiet hotel close to the river, kind staff and very clean hotel

The seclusion was fantastic, the 3 staff members we had interaction with were very polite and accommodating. The pool was lovely and very clean. The rooms and all areas were always clean.

Of the 9 day's we stayed we were only able to get pool towels on one occasion, we had to use room towels as they were unavailable as were still at the laundromat? Towels not accessible when you wanted to swim, we had to wait until they provided a room towels. The kitchen tea towels were dirty and wholes and rips in them. Their was no cloths to wipe benches or wash our dishes with and no washing liquid for the first 5 days. Bedroom towels need replacing urgently, they are old and thinning. Breakfast was OK but the American breakfast was nothing like an American breakfast. The Asian noodles dish wasn't cooked as noodles were a little hard and this dish wasn't an orthentic Asian dish as it was a packet(disappointing), breakfast could be better, fruit juice and fruits were lovely but could have had more of a variety, no dragon fruit, no mango, no avacado(all of these fruits are readily available). TV'S need updating to smart TV's as we had very limited stations in English to watch and they were all reacted the next day, we could have used our Netflix account if it was an updated TV.

As for the hotel itself, everything was great. The location was good, there was a private chef, and the jungle view was beautiful.

Unfortunately, what was absolutely terrible and made it impossible for me to sleep were the roosters. I understand this is probably not something the hotel can fully control, but because of this, I would not choose to stay here again.

They really should renovate the place, the furniture is old and some things were already broken, like e.g. the mirror. I didn't feel super comfortable there.
