AVOID THIS PLACE. I have additional photos of this place which I can’t upload. The “locked clean linen cupboard” is full

Absolutely nothing, avoid. I wouldn’t even give this a property a 1 star.

I had an extremely disappointing and unacceptable stay at this property. There was no hot water or heating throughout our stay, making the property uninhabitable. No clean linen or towels were provided, and although there was a bath, there was no bath plug, so it couldn’t be used even if hot water had been available. The listing advertised basic amenities that simply did not exist, including WiFi and a washing machine. The oven door was missing, making it unsafe to use. The property was in a very poor state of repair, with broken and damaged areas throughout and faulty flooring that could easily cause injury. There were no fire doors anywhere in the building, which is extremely concerning from a safety perspective. We also found a dead rat outside the property, and inside the property there was damp, a strong smell of smoke, cigarette burns across the carpets, and questionable stains on the sofa, which made the accommodation feel unhygienic. The property was grossly misrepresented by the photos and description, amounting to false advertising. I was over 6 hours away from home and, due to the unsafe and unliveable conditions, was forced to find alternative accommodation in an unfamiliar city at short notice, causing significant stress and inconvenience. To make matters worse, the host was completely unhelpful when these issues were raised and made no attempt to resolve them. Based on the serious safety and hygiene issues, this property appears to be in breach of UK rental and safety regulations. I would strongly advise others to avoid this property.

Great facilities ruined by hazardous defects

We chose this property because of its location, the facilities and the onsite parking. According to the photos the flat looked clean, modern, spacious and well equipped. What the photos didn't show were the defects, which became obvious the moment you walked in.

Let's be clear, some things are a matter of taste, and I'm not going to nit-pick about minor faults, e.g. the decor that's a little tired round the edges, provided that things are basically OK and function as intended. However some of the flaws in this flat were downright dangerous; the charred electrical socket, the broken glass bedside lamp with exposed jagged edges; the scalding hot towel rail with no switch and worst of all; the bathroom/shower tiles that were falling/fallen off the wall. We did speak to a very pleasant and helpful man from Yo Rooms who offered us a discount and promised to send somebody round to fix the problems, but unfortunately neither the cash nor man in van materialised. From previous reviews we discovered that the broken bathroom tiles had been an issue for at least six months previously. Lesson learnt; read the reviews!

Good property but 1 let down

It was clean and a good location with off street parking.

Both electric heaters in the living spaces bedroom and open lounge kitchen had no heating due to them not working. I'm sure the host would have known this previously. Had to resort to using a small portable heater, which had to be moved from 1 living space to another.

Spacious, cosy and good value - but a bit out-dated

The place was quite spacious and cosy place. Perfect for my little infant (as he had more items than myself and the wife) so it meant the place wasn't crammed even after we set out out stuff giving him plenty of room to crawl around. I loved the ample light we got through the huge windows first thing in the morning and even in the evening. The facilities were moderate and enough to get us by with functioning microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster and kettle. The shower and general taps gave us hot water but takes a good minute or two (so bear this in mind). The place was nice and warm (possibly because the temperature was 19/20 degrees that weekend) and they did provide fans and an extra heater which was good to have incase of any changes in weather.

The place has huge potential but just needs a bit of a touch-up (woodwork slightly broken, tiling cracked, blinds not fully functioning - strings snapped). The oven and cooker was a no go for us as it was really dirty and messy which was a shame as I was looking forward to using it. There is parking for 3 cars but very tight!

Disappointing

Nice size Good parking Tv with Netflix Fridge, kettle etc

Boiler gives about 10 mins of hot water. If there are two people showering, no chance of the second one getting any hot water. Very stiff lock, felt like key/lock would break every time we tried to get in. Cheap fixtures and fittings, blinds broken- very very cheap. Trying to pull one blind up and the whole blind pull falls out? Sofa bed is broken, cannot use without sofa bed giving way resulting in falling off the bed. ‘Double’ bed is two single beds pushed together? Icing on the cake- no fairy liquid. Apartment services are clearly on a very, very tight budget.

It was a struggle to gain access with the keys, took a long time to get them to work, not good! Fire alarm went off extremely loudly in error at 1am, very disturbing. No instructions for tv or any equipment. No rules for evacuation in case of fire.

Location was good. Spacious apartment with all the facilities needed as a base for our stay. A neat and tidy kitchen area, with all the utensils required to cook breakfast before venturing out for the day. Bedroom had comfortable bed and hanging space for clothes. Bathroom was functional. Large flat screen TV with streaming services via Wi-Fi. Contactless check in worked well.

Info on booking.com said no Wi-Fi was available but this is incorrect. Wi-Fi password was provided in check in info provided by host just a few hours before arrival. Wi-Fi is the only way to get the TV on. There is no aerial, cable or satellite so had to set up through Wi-Fi. Not really a problem for us, as we didn’t go to Leicester to watch TV!

Not a bad space but could use some love

Once we added our little touches to make the place a little more welcoming the apartment was quite nice to be in. WiFi wasn't the fastest but it was decent enough to use in place of 5G. Nothing seemed to be broken or out of place and where the apartment is situated there are quite a few shops up and down the road. The provision of a car park space was welcome as well.

The car park space is actually quite tight and not easy to park in for bigger/longer cars. The apartment is alright but it came across as a little knackered. There's a missing blind in the living room, which was slightly uncomfortable but not a major inconvenience. The shower pressure is a bit on the soft side and whenever you're washing your hands with hot water there's a really loud noise from the pump in the bathroom. The bathroom being next to the bedroom wasn't ideal either but it's not the end of the world at all

Just what we needed

Very well equipped, very comfortable, modern interior, I would definitely return, some small negative errors but they were overcome by the overall positives

Car parking on drive a little tight, but on road it was ok Shower works perfect but needs updating (tiles). Some light switches are in odd places. Needs an instruction book for details of house appliances, recommended food, shops, ect

Excellent stay

Modern & comfortable property. Includes iron, steamer, all kitchen facilities, extra duvets, Netflix etc. Staff were easily contactable and on hand to help. Easy check in & check out.

Comfortable city stay in Leicester

The apartment was on the first floor and had a separate bedroom and lounge/kitchen which was great. It was nicely refurbished. The bed was lovely and towels very soft. The power shower worked well. The owner was very helpful and responded quickly

Access to the on-site parking is snug. There was no hot water at the kitchen sink.

Exceptional

The apartment was newly refurbished and very clean with all we needed. We had a problem with a window but our host came straight away to fix it, very kindly bringing us water and a fan for the hot weather. :-)
