A Very Bad Check-in Experience

Location.

We arrived at the hotel on Sunday afternoon at 3.00pm. To our dismay, we found that the hotel door was locked. A peep into the glass door, we saw no one at the reception and the hotel looked deserted and quiet. Despite having informed the hotel of our arrival time, and payment been collected by Booking.com before our arrival, we were stranded. Luckily, a good samaritan helped us. He called the hotel using his phone. Then only the hotel staff arrived to arrange for our check-in. On top of that, room was not made and waste paper basket not emptied for our entire 5 nights stay.

Give this hotel a miss.

Parking was useful.

Hard to find, no-one to welcome us or help, the staff seemed to expect that we would look at WhatsApp videos of where to park (while driving ???), how to find the door key - and we had told them when we would arrive, so no excuse. Room was at the front of the building on a main road with big trucks passing by. Fortunately we had the ac on so window was shut, but I. Spring or autumn if you wanted fresh air it would be infernal.

Ideal location to spend the night while travelling from Netherlands to Italy

For us an ideal location to spend the night (and enjoy breakfast) on our way to out final destination in Italy (meaning : after passing the Gotthard and relatively close to the highway) ... the host was extremely service-oriented and even provided us with short video's via Whatsapp as to where to park our car and how to enter the facilities with a securily stored key (this due to our very late arrival ... after 11PM) Rooms are big/spacious and very clean ... breakfast is divers so you'll always find something you like

There was no care and every feedback is met with " we are a b and b ,not a hotel." No care , no one to meet and greet , no smiles . no upgrade that I paid for . Everything done to meet low expectations with cheapest of everything . Terribke place to stay in what should be a great part of the World !

Good for a short stay

1. The staff was very friendly 2. Breakfast was good and varied (it’s a shame the scrambled eggs are just cooked and placed there, they were cold)

1. I didn’t like the layout of the accessible room. The face towels were placed right next to the toilet, which felt unhygienic. 2. The room was clean, but it had a consistently stuffy smell. We had to keep the window open to get fresh air.

ok for one night but all rather underwhelming

Location to train station and recent refurbishment of rooms

Towels were rather small. Room needed airing before letting in new clients -very musty smell could have done with opening the windows. The second bed wasnt made nor was there any sheets - had to make this up ourselves. this led to feeling rather underwhelmed on first seeing a spacious room. Breakfast was rather limited, waitress removed most of the produce before we had sat down to eat - latte was lukewarm at best.

Where to start? The bed was comfortable. Plenty of fluffy pillows. The bathroom was new and well designed. The wifi was blazing fast. The location was right by the station. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here every time I’m in the area.

The ONLY negative were the towels. They were not the best but I will take some scratchy towels if I can have everything else!

Everything is new but somehow "soulless". The room was smelly. Couldn't define.. was it sweat or fresh building material? The window faces the busy street if you want to air the room.

Stopover in Switserland

Nice and clean room with airco, good beds, the hotel is recently renovated. Friendly staff.

Too expensive for what you get, but OK, we are in Switzerland. The hotel is situated along a busy road, so you cannot sleep with the windows open. A more quit room at the backyard costs more.
