Wow.... what kind, delightful owners. Room views over the lake. The owners proposed me Ticino ticket which I used and were more than helpful in recommending things to be done. Always open to help.

Parken ist etwas kompliziert, das Dachzimmer ist eher für kleinere Leute geeignet - aber hat eine Klimaanlage, das war da sehr wichtig

Return visit to Melide

Lovely family run B&B. Very friendly and welcoming hosts. We had a room with a balcony this time which was great and had a view of the lake. This was our second visit on our way to Italy and I hope we'll do it again. Breakfast was very good too.

Boek niet de zolderkamer, dan is het verder prima

uitgebreid ontbijt, locatie prima, gratis parkeren, goede etappeplek

We hadden nooit moeten vragen om een kamer met uitzicht over het meer. We kregen daarom de zolderkamer met 1 schuin plafond waardoor je daar niet rechtop kon staan. De douche was in het bad en ook onder dat schuine plafond dat je moest liggen of zitten in bad om te douchen. En dat lukt mij helaas niet wegens reuma. Airo die veel lawaai maakte maar uitdoen geen optie want bloedheet op zolder. Er was een bovenraampje zonder gordijnen waar ik blijkbaar zelf een handdoek voor had moeten hangen(was het advies). Mijn opmerkingen de volgende ochtend werden niet in dank ontvangen en de eigenaren voelden zich enorm aangevallen. Terwijl ik het toch echt vriendlijk probeerde te benoemen. Volgens mij had ik een topverblijf gehad in een normale kamer als ik niet om uitzicht over het meer had gevraagd.

Nette kleine Pension am Luganer See

Das "Al Boccalino" ist eine vom Inhaber-Ehepaar geführte Pension in einer kleinen Straße in Melide, unweit von Lugano. Unser Zimmer war groß; das Badezimmer (mit Dusche) ausreichend. Alles war sehr sauber. Sehr gut: Das Frühstück (als Büfett); da Sommer draußen einnehmbar. Die Inhaber sind sehr nett; mehrsprachig. Wir haben abends unweit in einer Pizzeria gegessen. Etwa 5 Gehminuten ist die Bahnstation, z.B. Richtung Lugano. Man bekommt von der Pension die Ticino-Card, sodass die Fahrt gratis ist. Ebenfalls gratis: Der Seeblick vom Balkon :-) Natürlich hat alles seinen Schweizer Preis.

Verrassende leuke ervaring!

De eigenaar, eigenaresse van dit b&b zijn uitmuntend. In de avond laat aankomen, gastvrij, hartelijk en met een goed gevoel voor humor ontvangen worden maakt dit verblijf onvergetelijk. Aangevuld met een fantastisch advies voor een trip door de bergen maakt dit een fantastisch onderkomen!

De badkamer was voor mensen boven de 1.40 niet bruikbaar.

Goed verblijf maar er is niet veel te beleven in de nabije buurt. Voor 1 nacht is het ok.

Ontbijt was zeer goed, wel maar om 8uur iets te laat vind ik. Voor 1 nacht is het wel ok. Kamer was in orde en de badkamer ook. kamers zijn ruim genoeg.

Kamer voor 3 personen was geen airco aanwezig, veel te warm om te slapen. Kamer voor 2 personen was een mobiele airco die veel lawaai maakte. Matrassen zijn aan vervanging toe.

Mostly the attention we received by the owners and the possibility to park our car safely in front of of the B&B, as it was packed with luggage etc.

Bathroom was a bit tight for 3 people. While everything was very clean, an upgrade of the facilities could be of advection to make this B&B even more attractive.

Fabulous - A couple, a Walking Stick and a Lurcher

Great size room, first floor was the lowest, but easy staircase for hubby. Pet friendly, fabulous breakfast. We also stayed here in April on route to Brindisi, so we knew how lovely and traditional this bed and breakfast is. Great terrace for a beer before walking to the lake which is absolutely stunning. Super hosts. Lovely meal at Ristorante Giardino, only a few minutes walk away, dog friendly with an outside terrace as well. Take your Swiss adaptor and European Blue parking disc for the Blue Zone parking, just in case - was invaluable.

The hosts were fantastic and I got a big room with a big and comfortable bed. Dogs are allowed. The area around is nice for a walk along the lake. Parking was provided. Breakfast was decent. Again, the hosts were super nice. I would love to stay there again to explore more the area with the family. There are nice facilities for the kids in the lake. Nice playground and dogs can access the lake (always on leash).

The wifi sign in my room was not good. But I think they can fix that soon.

Goed hotel in het charmante Melide.

Het hotel ligt op een boogscheut van het Lugano meer in het charmante plaatsje Melide. We hebben een kamer gekregen in het bijhuis van het hotel dit was handig omdat we onze honden bijhadden en er een klein tuintje met een hek was. Melide is klein maar leuk, je kan langs het meer wandelen en er zijn een paar restaurants. wij zijn hier verbleven op doorreis naar Italië. het is ook handig om Lugano zelf te bezoeken. Lekker uitgebreid ontbijt. Dicht tegen de afrit van de autostrade. In september gaan wij terug naar Italië en wij hebben hier terug geboekt.

Vielen Dank an die netten Inhaber der Unterkunft, die auf uns wegen einer Autopanne bis 24 Uhr auf den Check-In gewartet haben und uns auf ihrem Privatparkplatz parken ließen. Die Zimmer waren schön und sauber. Das Frühstück im tollen Frühstücksraum sehr gut! Die Lage in unmittelbarer Nähe zum See ebenfalls ideal. Bis bald mal wieder!

Idéal pour s'immerger dans le style de vie villageois tessinois!

Je trouve que pour le service fourni on peut parler d'un hotel et pas d'un simple b&b. DSitué dans le centre de Melide, le séjour dans cette structure de charme fait vite plonger le voyageur dans un esprit de vacances et de détente. Les propriétaires se sont montrés disponibles, cordiaux et surtout Mme Dora parle parfaitement les 3 langues nationales! Peut-être l'anglais aussi? Le petit-déjeuner était riche, varié et bien présenté. Lors des beaux jours il peut-être consommé en terrasse. La chambre qui m'avait été attribué était très bien! Old style mais chaleureuse, grande, et propre. L'établissement est à 10 min. à pied de la gare de Melide et du Swissminiature park. Rien à redire si ce n'est que j'aimerais y retourner!

Une escapade tessinoise à refaire dans ce petit hôtel si charmant et tellement accueillant.

Al Boccalino est un petit bijou d'hôtel logé dans le village de Melide, à deux pas du bord du lac. L'accueil est chaleureux, à bras ouverts. Les propositions et les conseils de l'hôtelier, Monsieur Pizzolato sont précieux, et permettent de profiter au mieux du séjour. Au matin, le buffet du déjeuner est somptueux, avec des gâteaux et confitures faits maison par Madame l'hôtelière, d'excellents pains, yogourt et salade de fruits frais. Le tout mérite quatre étoiles.

Pour les jambes fatiguées, il faut demander une chambre au premier étage et éviter les étages supérieurs, sans ascenseur. Mais là, c'est demander la lune. Il ne faut rien changer, la simplicité de l'établissement fait son charme.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich in Empfang genommen und der Inhaber hat uns liebenswerter Weise seinen Parkplatz überlassen. Zimmer sind geräumig und wir hatten eine Couch zum relaxen. Frühstück haben wir dann auf der Terrasse eingenommen und waren sehr erfreut über die große Auswahl an allem was das Herz begehrt. Für meine Frau gab es einen Kakao anstatt Kaffee!
