That was on main road, couldn’t organise the heating easily Front desk staff was nice, but not very informative, both in view of how to get to train station , that was accessible by going one extra stop on local train & walking with luggage around 10min to property Instead we took a taxi from Lugano cost us over $100 AUS to get to property

The staff are very kind and nice!

The highlight for us was the staff and the location! Very friendly and welcoming staff, not to mention we got an upgrade for free since we booked a small room and they had a bigger one available! The upgraded room was big with hydromassage - perfect!

Continues to be great quality accommodation overlooking lake Lugano. Always very comfortable rooms, quiet and well soundproofed, very safe, very clean, lots of facilities, excellent wifi, superb breakfast (& coffee!) and above all excellent hosts. With a special mention to Maria who is the beating heart of Lac Hotel. She is always incredibly helpful , kind and we always enjoy our stays with them, many thanks as always!

Good but they need to put more attention to details

What we liked: Room upgrade for free, even if the suite was not in the same building. Position was nice, just in front of the lake. Spacious room and bathroom. Cleanliness of towels and room. Sauna and jacuzzi pool in the same room (even if we didn't used them, we appreciated the room's upgrade). Good breakfast. Nice and kind staff.

What we didn't liked: Empty soap container in the shower and one very small shampoo container available. Heater was not sufficient to have a warm temperature during the night. No privacy in the bathroom, due to the lack of curtains on the window (same issue in another window in the room). TV with issues in colours. Inadequate hairdryer.

This hotel spells hospitality with a capital H! Today is my birthday. Yesterday, we checked in. We were tired and I really needed a coffee. We finished the check-in and the friendly owner served us two cappuccinos for free. We also got a free room upgrade. He also must have taken note of the date on my ID. This morning at breakfast, the server brought me a tasty piece of Schwarzwälder cake with a lit birthday candle and wished me a happy birthday 🎈. Those little things. That's hospitality. Mille grazie! In other things, the view is exceptional, the hotel staff kind, good breakfast. Please take note, the hotel writes in the description that there is a small lift. They do mean it. The lift will take two suitcases or two average sized people but not both. We've had an excellent stay and will happily return!

The location is fabulous and the staff are super friendly. The food was superb and we enjoyed the views from the terrace in this quiet corner at the lake.

Our room with a lake view, was half the size (room 205) as our friend's (1st floor) and we paid the same price.

Staff are excellent, loved the balcony of the room, the view of the water at breakfast is gorgeous.

There is barely any parking. About six or seven very small stalls, and they're usually completely full all day long. You have to go search elsewhere for paid parking, so the "parking included" really shouldn't be listed.

Amazing views

Location is amazing with views of the lake. Hotel has a bus stop right outside the hotel which is perfect for getting around and exploring. Breakfast was good and staff were friendly. Perfect location for cycling, hiking and exploring.

While we were there the restaurant was closed and so was the hotel bar so we hanged out at the hotel next door which had a bar and restaurant. Room was small and so was the bed making it a bit uncomfortable. Minibar was not restocked.
