HeyMi Apartments Karlsplatz

Excellent location for theaters, concert halls, and museums. Everything was within walking distance. The apartment was quite spacious and airy, yet still cozy, very clean, and recently renovated. The beds were fairly comfortable, and there were enough of extra pillows, bed linens, and towels in the closet. The kitchen had very basic equipment, however sufficient for preparing breakfast during a short stay.

Although the apartment is located right in the city center, the surrounding area was quite dirty. From Thursday to Monday, the street was not cleaned. The building’s stairwell was also rather worn and unclean, giving a somewhat neglected impression. As there is a nightclub located downstairs, there was significant noise throughout Friday and Saturday nights. By morning, the area was littered with empty bottles and other smelling traces of late-night partying. It was difficult to sleep even with the windows closed, as the old-style windows provided very little sound insulation. The kitchen lacked both a microwave and a capsule coffee machine, offering only a filter coffee maker. One of the bathrooms was extremely small and very uncomfortable to use. The apartment also had only one separate toilet (as is common in many older Vienna apartments), which was somewhat inconvenient.

The apartment was well situated on a quiet street. It was very secure with an outer locking door on the street and then another locking door inside the building. The apartment itself was very spacious and airy. We liked the fact that there were two bathrooms and a separate toilet, as there were four of us . The owners were easy to contact and responded very quickly when we reported an issue with one of the showers. When we returned that evening the issue had been resolved. Altogether a lovely apartment, we would definitely stay there again.
