A lovely lady met us at the apartment and walked us upstairs, showed us around and left us the keys. This is not the apartment we originally reserved online. We received a message once we landed in Vienna, that our original reservation had "technical" difficulties and did not have hot water. Alternative property was offered, we accepted and we were promised to have the choice to move to the original apartment once the hot water issue was fixed. We liked the location of the property, very close to tram/metro/bus stops and walkable to inner city cites.

We rent an apartment because we like to cook. This apartment had the worst stocked kitchen we have ever stayed in over the last ten years. There was one scratched up pan, one very large pot and four glass lids for pots that did not fit the one we had. I am used to having dull knives and this kitchen was not different. The bathroom had hair on the floor and in the sink and there were many areas in the apartment where pain was missing from the walls. Our stay in Vienna was 6 days long, we left without ever hearing from the host about the originally reserved property.
