Well furbished apartment in central location right on the Oban waterfront.

Great location overlooking the busy Oban harbour. Well appointed with two upstairs bedrooms including a bathroom equipped with a separate shower box. One bedroom has an en-suite toilet. Although there is a busy one-way street in front of the apartment, triple glazing in living areas and double glazing elsewhere kept noise to a minimum. The personalised welcome on arrival was a nice touch. Rab was very responsive to our heating queries, and his actions grew more effective over the course of our stay. We were able to access parking right behind the apartment which was very convenient.

The heating had been turned off at the wall in the living areas when we arrived so the apartment was somewhat cold. Because the apartment uses night store heaters in the living areas there was no heating of those areas until the following morning. Fortunately there are plenty of heaters overall and those in bedroom areas upstairs were manually controlled by the guests. Also Rab responded promptly to our heating queries and the apartment is well insulated. We made several suggestions for future guests, which Rab indicated he would take up.

Home from home with a stunning view.

Island view is a lovely property with all amenities that you could need. Decorated beautifully and was warm and cosy. Very much felt like a home from home. Comfortable beds and nice hot shower. The best bit was the stunning view from the living room window. Only a short walk to centre which has a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and harbour. Rab our host kept in contact with us before, during and after our stay. would highly recommend and will be coming back in the future. 10/10

Fabulous oban views

The apartment is immaculate...kitchen well stocked all you need. Bed and pillows really comfy there was nothing i didn't like. Location exceptional ..view fabulous. First time I will be looking to come back to the same property.

The only thing I would change would be the small mat in the hallway.get a bigger one It was really wet when we were there so 2 people trying to get shoes off without standing on the carpet after a wee dram was hilarious.

Relaxing and exploring in a stunning part of the world.

Stunning view! I could have easily sat for hours watching the boats go back and forth to the Islands. Really at the heart of Oban which is a thriving and lively little town. The property was spacious and extremely well furnished. Thoughtful and high quality furnishings.

Nothing. If you’re glued to your car parking could be a problem - maybe more so in the busy summer months. We used the car park at the harbour so not a problem for us. There’s even great views from the car park!

Beautiful, central location and a lovely apartment!

Key code was sent via email. No problems accessing the apartment. The apartment itself is located in a prime spot and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Large windows to the front looking out over the bay, which is spectacular! In town, and so close to all amenities. We were able to visit the Oban distillery, boat trips, Dunollie Castle and an organised coach trip to the islands of Mull and Iona, all without using our car! We absolutely loved Oban and would not hesitate to book Island view again in the future.

On arrival we were able to park in the narrow access area next to the apartment, but, unfortunately, our car was scratched, maybe accidentally by the bin men? Following this we paid £30 for a week's parking at the nearby Corran Hall car park.

A good location pleasant apartment

The view from the lounge window was wonderful. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms were good. It was close to Oban and the restaurants and take- away venues.

When we arrived we could not find the apartment but the owner let us know where it was and I believe has taken steps to make sure no-one has the same problem. It was up a flight of rickety stairs, outside. The outdoor space was shared at the back of the property and often had wet suits drying over the table.

Very handy location and it's all about that view.

The location was really handy for getting to from the railway station and then being in the centre of town to go out in the evening. The view over Oban bay is stunning and we had glorious sunsets. The instructions and communications with the host were great.

As the weather was hot when we were there, we wanted to have the windows open at night but there was a bit of noise from people passing by outside after a night out. It wasn't excessive and there's not much the owners can do about that but worth being aware of if that bothers you. There is good double glazing and secondary glazing which were effective at blocking the noise out once they were shut.

Spotless, spacious apartment with glorious views, a lovely living area and comfy bedrooms. Everything you need is on hand - WiFi, Netflix, coffee maker, washing machine etc. Added bonus: the hosts provide comprehensive - and jolly useful - notes on where to go and what to do in the area.

Spacious, comfortable and clean accommodation, central location, handy parking, amazing outlook to watch the boats and ferries go by. Good information/brochures provided. We felt relaxed as soon as we arrived and really enjoyed our stay with our young family.

A great little Gem in Oban – stunning view, very comfortable, well equipped with great welcome pack.

This flat not only has stunning views across Oban but is extremely well equipped in the kitchen and very comfortable. We were delighted to get availability on this flat. The photos reflect the flat very well and we were delighted with the welcome pack of basic supplies including Fresh Milk. There was also two handy instruction books, both for the flat and information on the local area. I would not hesitate to return and think it would make a cracking spot for winter storm watching! Highly recommended.

This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in. Spotlessly clean and all mod cons. Owner left excellent instructions for ab everything we needed for our stay. Very spacious and everything brand new. Beautiful views from all windows in the living and bedroom areas. Would love to stay again .

The place was very clean and comfy with space to relax and superb view from all the windows. So close to everything. Kitchen was great with dishwasher and washer/ dryer. Owner had prepared books with lots of helpful info about Oban left on the living room table. We absolutely loved the place.

Parking but then again owner gave a few recommendations on how to address that. However, some our family stayed in close by hotel and so we used their parking since we all travelled in the same minivan.
