Glenfiddich Apartment

Fijn comfortabel appartement direct in het hart van het havenstadje Oban. Heerlijke bedden en voorzien van alle gemakken. Wij hebben genoten!

The location is fantastic, and the apartment is comfortably furnished with a nice common space (livign room/kitchen). The communication with the host was very quick and efficient. Most importantly the apartment was VERY clean which made our stay very pleasant.

The main issue is that the sound-proofing in the apartment (and presumably the whole building) doesn't exist. You can hear everything that happens in the street below as if it was happening inside the apartment (early morning deliveries, late night post-pub squabbles etc.). It is very noisy and definitely not for light sleepers (but for us, even the people usually not disturbed by noise were disturbed). The bathroom set up. The bathroom itself is really large, but there is a lot of empty space, and in particular the sink is very small, the water pressure very strong but the tap was really stiff so when you finally get it to move it just splatters everywhere. As well there is a glass shelf directly above the sink (e.g., when you wash your face, it is VERY easy to hit it, and it is a breaking hazard).

Centrally located and quiet

Cleanliness, amenities, and location was great

Nothing about the property, the rate per night is a bit high
