Lovely warm, clean, central property and good value for money

The property was great, a little noisy on the Saturday night/early hours but that’s to be expected at a weekend this didn’t really bother us too much.

Great Location & Comfortable Stay – Just One Major Drawback

We stayed here as a family with two kids and had a very comfortable experience overall. The apartment is cosy, clean, and well-maintained. Its location is excellent – within walking distance to the harbour, shops, restaurants, the museum, and attractions like mc.Caigs Tower. Everything we needed was close by, which made travelling with kids much easier. The kitchen was fully equipped with utensils and essentials, which was very convenient. There was also a washing machine and even a dryer (though it wasn’t advertised), which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were responsive and helpful with any queries we had, which we really appreciated.

The only downside – and unfortunately a significant one – was the hot water in the shower. Despite turning on the booster and waiting for 45 minutes to an hour, we were unable to get hot water. This was quite inconvenient, especially with children. If this issue were resolved, the stay would easily deserve a 10/10 rating. Overall, apart from the hot water issue, everything else about the apartment and its amenities was very good.

Very convenient and comfortable, such that we'll consider coming here again in future.

It was great having under floor heating in the bathroom - very cozy. Everything in the flat was very clean and comfortable. The location was great for getting to the ferries. There were lots of convenient food outlets and a small supermarket nearby, as well as a superb ice cream shop. Within easy walking distance of a small bathing beach.

The shower controls were a bit stiff and the water pressure not very strong.

The heated bathroom floor

The oven didn’t work there were no instructions for the cooktop, no baking dishes just a roasting dish, the bathroom taps were stiff,the shower was just a spout, it was very noisy at night, the sofa was in a state of collapse and the beds were hard. No instructions for the washer and dryer and the dryer was not working.

We enjoyed Oban but staying at this property spoiled our trip.

The only good thing was the location.

The Entry smelled and had plaster coming off the walls. The stove only had two small hot plates going, the two larger ones were broken. The Tv wasn’t working and was only just fixed prior to us leaving. There was a layer of dust around the skirting boards and the carpets were dirty. The water pressure was low and the shower did not drain properly. The coffee machine did not work. We tried to contact the named contact but they did not answer till the following day. It was not satisfactory to rent a property in that condition.

Cosy, great togetherness. Very homely feel.

We made our own breakfast, but the kitchen was well equipped. Location is central, central, heart of Oban. Everything is within reach. Rooms are spacious as well as the bathroom.

The sofa cushions and bed mattress could be more firmer. Sofas are too low. The bed in one bedroom needs to be fixed well, it’s wobbly. The shower is very soft and feels slow, could be more quick with good flow of water. We couldn’t operate the television. A bit noisy being on main thoroughfare, but not bad.

Very good

The apartment is located on one of the main streets in Oban therefore providing great central access to all facilities like the shops, pubs, restaurants, beach and ferry terminals. The host provided us with good information before we arrived, so were able to use the long stay car park on the edge of town, which saved at least half an hour of being stuck in traffic to find we couldn't park anywhere. Access was again made easy by the host, providing us with a code for the key box and precise location of the apartment. The apartment itself was warm, welcoming and clean and the kitchen was well equipped.

The downside to such a great town centre location is the early morning noise of shops receiving deliveries and the late night revelers leaving the pubs and takeaways. However, if you join them, it's not as noticeable. Please don't be put off by the entrance hall to the apartments, it is a shared space with other apartments and has no reflection on the wonderful apartment waiting upstairs.

The stairwell which was needing repaired and cleaned. The flat had all we needed but would benefit from some new carpets and sofa as a bit old and tired looking. Couldn’t get tv to come on despite good effort. Nice pictures and ornaments.
