Little bit of miscommunication over what time we had to leave the property. Details on booking.com state to leave between 11 and 12 but cleaner came at 11 to tell us we should have left by now.

A Magical Stay in the Heart of Historic Oban We had a wonderful two-night stay in this beautiful penthouse apartment in Oban, Scotland. The views were absolutely breathtaking — waking up and looking out over Oban and the surrounding water was truly unforgettable. The building itself is a special part of the experience. Built around 1905–1907, this Victorian/Edwardian tenement has so much history and character. The 90 stairs to the penthouse are definitely a workout, but once you reach the top, the views make every step worth it! The climb almost feels like stepping back in time and gives the apartment an old-world charm you simply can’t recreate in a modern building. The penthouse was a wonderful combination of historic character and a comfortable place to relax after exploring Oban. We loved being able to experience a genuine piece of Scotland’s architectural history while enjoying such an incredible location. If you’re looking for something completely different from a typical hotel — a place with history, character, charm, and spectacular views — this penthouse is a memorable choice. Just pack light and be prepared for those 90 stairs! 😄 We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return to this little piece of historic Oban.

There are 4 flights of stairs to walk up which makes it challenging. Stairs are steep and a bit awkward. Beds are nicely made up but slightly creaky.
