Inconvenient apartment with amazing views.

The views - the main feature of the apartment. The wifi worked well.

The bed in the big bedroom gave me a serious back ache. The mattress sags beyond belief, and I weigh 54 kg. Parking is difficult - only 2 hours can be paid for from 8:30 till 18:00, and that was a major inconvenience. Most furniture is “tired”. The table sits four.

Great view but really dirty apartment

Allan was kind and responsive. The view and the location is amazing.

I'm sorry to say, but I've never been to a more dirty apartment/flat in my life. Everything smelled of oil and fish, and everything was sticky and very very dirty. I have some mixed feelings because this apartment could be exceptional with regular deep cleaning and some minor improvements. But in it's current state I don't recommend it.

Superb

Staying at this Victorian house is an experience in itself. The living room was huge and so was the master bedroom. The other two rooms were of decent size. The bathrooms and kitchen were clean and quite spacious. It's right on the main street and very close to bus, railway and ferry stations. Plus it's sea facing. So even if you are tired after a busy, you can just sit comfortably in your room and enjoy sunset from the window. It's also very close to pubs and restaurants. The only downside is that it's located on 5th floor, which is quite a climb. Rest everything is super awesome.

Great location. Apartment was spacious, more than we had anticipated. Very homely and had everything we needed plus more.

Parking, but understandably out of control of owner. Strange smell sometimes, possibly the pipes as old victorian building.

lovely and spacious with lots of lovely touches like paintings and ornaments. nice to have tourists information leaflets too. instructions for access and information very clear. fantastic location. Great views too. Would definitely book again and recommend.

Some of the older windows were a bit drafty but we did visit during a storm so wouldn’t have known otherwise and was only in the living room. the stairs make it difficult for older visitors but that’s made clear when you book so not a criticism.

* Outstanding views from every room and window in the apartment. * Superb location; very central for every amenity. No need to use car. * Excellent choice and quality of food establishments to suit all budgets. Both take out and dining. Supermarkets within walking distance if choice is not to eat out. * Apartment was very well furnished and comfortable. Beautiful Victorian apartment and very spacious. * Loved the roll top bath and large shower.

* 90 steep steps up to the apartment. * Lack of parking and cost £9 a day to park near the apartment. * Some cleaning issues; fridge, mugs, cutlery and dining room table not clean. Everywhere else was clean.

Love it, love it, love it

Put it this way, if Alan wants to sell I’m buying. No messing tell me the price:) The place is larger than most people’s houses. How is it possible after a week to still be turning into the wrong room!!!! The location and view are what sold it for me. You don’t need a tv with that view.The family and the dogs loved it too. Alan was excellent. Left everything we needed in the Proprty, including Soy sauce for a take away!!!! Also for any further info we needed. First class start to finish.

The stairs. Got to be honest that are a pain. Especially if you are taking the dogs in and out.

Bed linen and pillows could have been a lot better quality Would have liked kitchen units cleaned and washed with removal of old food Removal of old toiletries from bathroom and throughout property Think due to Covid just now it would be good to remove all cushions and replace shaggy rugs with plain rugs and have no mat in bathroom It would have been good to have a welcome pack on arrival

Good location and spacious apartment. Clean property and very comfortable. Had it’s own character.

Found the 90 steps leading up to apartment difficult. Particularly since I have had 2 recent back operations. Would worry if a tenant had a heart condition. Perhaps this should be made clearer on the booking details.
