Short, managed to get out and about and the the hosts were very engaging and considerate.

Located in a very beautiful place in the country side, room and bathroom was clean, lovely landlords and very good breakfast. We highly recommend this place to stay and we definitely want to come back, just a regret I didn't bring my fishing rod cause there's a back garden with a small river, absolutely amazing. Sharing a bathroom. Rooms are comfortable but bedding is a little dated but just acceptable. Liked the size of the rooms but could benefit from some places to hang up clothes for those staying a few days.

I loved that Valerie and Jason are only a call away! Check-in was extremely easy and I was informed about the river walk and seating arrangements that helped me make my way through the beautiful natural space that the property is set in. We had a wonderful stay at Cable Island Bed and Breakfast. From the moment we arrived—very late, due to unexpected delays—our host Valerie was incredibly accommodating and flexible, which we truly appreciated. Her warm welcome set the tone for a relaxing visit. The room was spacious and offered a lovely view over the valley and river, creating a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. The bathroom was spotless and well-equipped with everything we needed, adding to our comfort. Breakfast was another highlight—delicious, thoughtfully prepared, and the perfect way to start the day. Overall, we highly recommend Cable Island B&B and would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Valerie, for your hospitality!

Unfortunately there was a loud snorer in the house that kept me from a good nights sleep- but that’s not the fault of property just comes with being in a house rather than a hotel 🙂

The leisure riders.

Valerie, is very friendly and accommodating, my friend and I, brought our own wine as no alcohol is available, Valerie gave us wine glasses, otherwise we were drinking from the bottle, which was well deserved after a long bike ride.

The only thing I didn't like was the shared bathroom.

Breakfast was very good, we both enjoyed our choices We loved the location too. Wonderful views over the Blackwater River and the beautiful countryside.

We were lucky in that we didn't have to share the bathroom, so that would have been a minus, but other than that we had no dislikes

Worth every penny and then some!

I was surprised as I thought I’d booked an en-suite bath, but it didn’t detract from the amazing rime we had. Our host was wonderful and the views insane! The breakfast was over the top yummy. I wish I had booked two nights to explore the area.

Wonderful hosts! So welcoming and warm. It was like a dream. We stayed in the family room and thought the shared bathroom might be a problem but to our surprise it was not an issue at all. My son went fishing in the river and had an incredible experience. Will go back without a doubt!
