Not good value for money, hotel needs some updating

Location was good.

The first room had multiple problems, room wasn’t clean, safe didn’t work and bathroom door didn’t close. The second room the toilet flush didn’t work. Breakfast was not great, having to follow up for our drinks on both days of our stay.

Very relaxing hotel

Lovely relaxing hotel in a wonderful location in Tramore. Loved the fact there were lots of comfortable seating in the lounge area. The bar was great too with the food being a good standard.

Our pillows on the bed were too hard. Should have asked for softer ones but didn’t. So maybe our fault!

As indicated by the scores above our day was very comfortable, in the right location with lots of pleasant staff.

One small detail about the equipment in the dining room. Both toasters were incredibly slow and need replacing as the hotel deals with a number of tourist buses as well as individual couples. The time it took to toast bread was exceptionally long and caused some significant delays to all who chose to use the toasters. Very difficult to understand why the hotel has not replaced them by now. A small point but can make life a lot easier if attention to detail is undertaken.

Slightly more expensive than other options but worth the money.

Great parking facilities and great for the less able bodied. The room was clean and comfortable, bathroom needed a bit of TLC as we flooded the floor as the shower screen didn’t seal. Breakfast was 10/10 and we loved the later check out.

The sea view rooms were amazing. Paid extra for upgrade with balcony. The breakfast was also amazing. The decor is fab. Really nice hotel.

There were a multitude of things I liked about the property, the location, the food, the attention to detail but the overall winning factor was the staff, they were exceptional from the dining staff to the front of house especially the lovely Geraldine and Laura they couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating they made our stay.

the room was very clean and spacious for our family ( 2 adults & 2 young children ), with each of my sons having a proper bed each and not a futon, so that was nice. We ate in the bar in the evening, and the food was delicious and the seating inside and outside was really nice and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly.

Unfortunately our room was very dark and stuffy. First floor facing the back of the hotel just above the services entry. There was no air conditioning and we stayed on a hot sunny week. There was a small fan provided for our room . The bathroom had no extractor fan and was unpleasantly hot day and night. For a family room I was surprised to see a shower with a sliding door and no bath. The shower with the sliding door made it awkward to shower my kids after their trip to the beach as I had to keep the door open. The beach is 15 minutes walk away. The description of the hotel says its 1 mins walk. Splashworld is directly across from the hotel but we didn't get to use it for our one day there as when we went over it was fully booked. So book ahead if you can. No fault of the hotel of course but just a word of advice for anyone thinking of using it. I don't think the money we paid for one night here ( 330euros ) met our expectations unfortunately.

Absolutely amazing

Everything was absolutely amazing. From the staff to the room, cleanliness, facilities, restaurant and even personalized breakfast options, we absolutely loved our stay. Special shout out to Fiona for being so accommodating and organizing a small birthday surprise for my husband. We will definitely be back and recommend this place.

A Beautiful and Peaceful Stay with Views to Remember

I had such a lovely and peaceful stay at the Majestic Hotel. I was lucky enough to have a room with a balcony—my first ever!—and the views were absolutely incredible: the North Atlantic Ocean, a tranquil lake, rolling green hills, and charming little houses that reminded me of Norway. The floor-to-ceiling windows made it all feel so expansive and cinematic. The bed was unbelievably comfortable—probably the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. It felt like I was being cocooned in clouds. The room itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, with comfortable chairs, a lovely little table by the window, and plenty of storage space. I especially appreciated the peaceful, elegant atmosphere of the room—it really helped me unwind. The staff were exceptional—incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful throughout my stay. From the warm and helpful reception team, to the friendly breakfast and bar staff, everyone made me feel so welcome. The breakfast was delicious, with a lovely cooked option and buffet selection too. And I loved relaxing in the lounge area with its royal blue decor, electric fireplace, and refreshing infused water (sometimes cucumber, sometimes lemon and mint—such a nice touch after a walk outside!). The location is perfect. The beach is just a short walk along the promenade, there’s an Aldi within walking distance for evening snacks or salads, and a bus stop right outside the hotel, with connections to the Doneraile Trail and other local attractions. The Dublin Airport coach stops literally opposite the hotel when arriving, and the return stop is just a few minutes’ walk away—incredibly convenient. Overall, it was such a beautiful, relaxing, and memorable stay. I would absolutely return, and I highly recommend the Majestic Hotel if you’re visiting Tramore.

The only minor downside was the shower pressure, which was a bit low—but the water was always warm and lovely, so it didn’t bother me much. Honestly it’s such a minor thing.

Enjoyable experience but on the expensive side for a single-occupancy room

The staff were excellent - at the reception and in the dining room. Dinner in the evening was really good and well presented. I particularly enjoyed the medley of desserts. The cleanliness was noticeably good throughout the hotel and was exceptional in the bedroom and bathroom. I thought the decor was tastefully done throughout.

Very strong and noticeable cigarette smoke smell on the second floor bedroom corridor. This wouldn't usually be a bother but I felt it was particularly strong and unpleasant. I felt the chairs in the bedroom, while of good quality and design, were just not comfortable. There were two chairs that fell between the 'armchair' and plush 'dining room chair' type categories. They're not the sort of chair that encourages relaxation while watching TV in the room. Comfortable armchairs in the bedrooms would go a long way to adding to a guest's relaxation when on holiday.

We had an excellent stay. I was with my husband & small kids, as well as my parents, siblings & their partners. The hotel was spotless. The staff were all very helpful & friendly. We had a lovely dinner in the hotel restaurant with beautiful sea views. We had lots of space for the kids & the staff were lovely to them. Breakfast on both mornings was really good, with lots of options. The hotel is a very short stroll to all the amenities that Tramore has to offer. It’s a great place to stay.

We liked everything. If I had to pick something, I would say the family room we stayed in was a little small for us. Our buggy wouldn’t fit in the room but there was plenty of space in the hall outside for it: we didn’t mind doing this but some parents may have issue with it.

Had a fantastic time in this hotel, it was in an ideal location, a short walk to the funfair, beach, local restaurants and bars. Our room was spotless with an amazing view, and free car parking was an added bonus. Breakfast was very tasty too 😋
