Surprisingly good stay

The atmosphere was great. Breakfast staff were the best it was like going home. The 2 women couldn't do enough for us.

For the price the rooms should be more up to date needs modernisation or the prices need to drop.

Good comfortable 3 star stay

A friendly coastal pub accommodation with a cosy atmosphere. We had dinner and breakfast which was EXCELLENT! … friendly and helpful staff.

No lift if you have heavy luggage…but it’s an old pub so I get that. The shower was a nightmare…either too hot or cold…then it wouldn’t turn off. Parking was on site but a walk around the corner…had to drop bags at door then park car which wasn’t a problem for us as it was low season but it would be an issue if it was busy.

Lovely place to stay

The staff were lovely, the room was cosy and comfortable with a good amount of space, and the location was very close to the sea, restaurants, arcades and the funfair. Breakfast was included, and while it wasn't anything special, they do a decent full Irish. We had a really nice stay.

We were booked to stay at O’sheas hotel in Tramore for 8 nights. Being experienced travelers however upon our arrival and having found the “hotel parking” I knew I was not going to stay here. This was made even clearer after looking at the dingy room. The parking is in a run down open gravel area behind the building with NO guest entrance to the hotel unless you walk all the way around the block to the front door of the hotel. This didn’t look safe to me at all. Hopefully you don’t have much luggage either! There also appeared to have some old apartments sharing this area so I would be very concerned about leaving my vehicle here unattended. Wanting to at least give the hotel a shot I went inside and took a look at the room….Ugh. Old, not clean appearing, and the thin sheets didn’t appear to be white even though I believe that they started out that way. No way was I going to let my wife stay in this room. We returned the key to the desk clerk who didn’t even bother to ask us why we were not staying and left. We didn’t try the restaurant or bar so I cannot comment on that. They say this is a 3-star hotel but in my opinion it’s a 2-star at best however it is located close to the beach if this is important to you. This place is decade impaired big time and is desperately in need of modernization. I know some people will say it has “old world charm” but in my mind it’s just simply run down. One other thing….when we reached out to the O’Sheas management about a refund they were righteous about it and returned our payment quickly (less one day cancelation fee) which was very professional. Strange they didn’t ask at all about why we didn’t stay.

Ok for overnight stay.

Good location right by the sea. OK for an overnight stay. Very good breakfast and friendly staff.

A bit run down in places. Bathroom needed a refurb but was clean. Extra charge for a dog was intimated at booking but the amount was not. This turned out to be €30 for a single night stay which made the overall cost very high for the quality of the hotel. Should have been transparent at booking as to receive this on arrival is not fair.

Lovely hotel

Lovely hotel right on the seaside so a nice place for families. Room was bigger then expected and had a lovely view. Will definitely stay again.

No entrance from the car park to the hotel so you've to walk out of the car park and around to hotel. This isn't bad but if you've kids it's dangerous as the only way out of the car park is to walk on the road leading into the car park.

We had a lovely relaxing stay & the hotel was spotless & lovely staff

I was impressed with how clean the hotel was & felt very relaxed there, the staff were lovely & very helpful. The food was also exceptionally good!

The only thing I didn't like was the noise outside the hotel with seating just outside the windows had people talking really loud & someone choke coughing first thing when I woke but saying that not a fault of the hotel, it's on the street so to be expected.

The dinner and breakfast were good. But that’s all.

Oh my goodness. The rooms are unbelievably tired, the carpets are worn, the ‘secure car park’ is an open gravel (and broken glass) filled yard, a 200m walk from the hotel, the rooms smell and the windows are fixed half open. My bathroom mirror light was missing and wires crudely taped over. The shower pressure is poor and the temperature control erratic. For over £100 (£130?) a night it’s a disgrace. A ripoff. The staff are lovely but having to work with a rundown heap of a building. Avoid this place. Oh, and nice to see a big advert at the start of the town proclaiming that it’s “award winning”….!! Wow.

Tramore is a beach area, very lively in the evenings...

...which we knew because our windows opened over the street and pub outside seating, who were raucous until very late. Radiator in room was going full blast on entry, temp was above 90, and no AC or fans in the room. On arrival, no one at the desk to greet us for 10+ minutes, and acted as though we were an imposition for checking in. Our ground floor room was up two flights of stairs, then down one more (and still a floor above street level). Parking was only available in a lot behind the building, with no access to the hotel - you had to walk around the block to reach the 'lobby'. Bed was hard, room bare minimum in amenities and features. Planned on a B&B, not a hostel. Overall, would not return or recommend.
