A relaxed guest house in a good location with touches of luxury.

A luxurious stay in a lovely building.

The ‘sea view’ wasn’t quite what we expected, we could see a sliver of sea between the 2 buildings in front of our room. It wasn’t a big deal for us, we liked the location being close to the town but others might want a proper view of the sea.

Great place to stay, welcomed by Freda as we entered, we stayed in the king room on this visit, nice big 4 poster bed, really comfortable. Fresh pastries hanging on your door handle in the morning is really nice.

A charming host that is very responsive and friendly. The home is welcoming with so many extra thoughtful touches. Our group had 3 rooms, all were lovely. Our host advised some nearby attractions to see while we walked to some restaurants that she recommended. The house is close to several walkable restaurants and the town has such character! Wish we had stayed more than one night. The breakfast that was provided in our room was incredible, varied and very generous. Loved everything about this place and our host!

Excellent and thank you team Abbey view

Location, easy walking to town and surrounding attractions. We stayed for 3 nights, king size bed made sleeping very comfortable. Each day the room was restocked with items for continental breakfast, fruit, juice, milk and daily fresh pastries and croissants. Never have we experienced such service! The Abbey house is heritage listed so it creaks a little but adds to the ambiance. I would recommend this property.

The little extras were lovely. The breakfast was included (left in the room), there was plenty variety including cereals, fruits, yogurt, cold meats and cheeses & fresh croissants which were delivered to the door in the morning.

A great place to stay. Lovely room. Lots of nice food, drinks and snacks provided and the fresh croissants on the morning were brilliant. Freda couldn’t have been more welcoming. Handy for the center of town or for going out to the beach.

The location was perfect, short walk to The Walter Raleigh Hotel, 15 minutes walk to a stunning family and dog friendly beach. The road behind the property leads to a bustling street. Highly recommend a Stay at Abbey View.

Really nice guest house, it was clean and tidy, we had a nice balcony on one side & a sea view on the others. The fridge was stocked up with ham, smoked salmon, mixed cheeses, orange juice, there was a selection of cereals, butter & jams. Fresh fruit on the table. Pastries delivered to your room in the mornings. The bed was comfortable for a good night sleep.

The kitchen was perfectly stocked with tea and biscuits upon our arrival, as well as a continental breakfast ready for the next morning. Fresh croissants were dropped off at our door in the morning. The whole place was beautiful and comfy, we wish we'd stayed longer. We will definitely be returning.

Super friendly staff , very central , comfortable stay. . It's got the charm of being an older building .. easy to park close by, and the Freda was easily reachable . The pastries in the morning were a treat . Well run guesthouse .

breakfast was nice, had everything one would need. rooms/shower were clean and the bed as comfy. i had a view out the Cork road so room was nice and bright.

Breakfast was different in that the food is prepared and stored in Fridge. It tasted great but was a little disjointed as its nice to have breakfast with my family in this case. Fridge in the room was a little annoying turning on and off during the night.

Abbey View House is a really lovely place to stay, right beside the sea and very central to everything. Freda welcomed me like an old friend even though we had never met, which was so nice. I loved my room and sea view, and the fridge full of smoked salmon, ham, cheeses, orange juice and yogurt was terrific. Would highly recommend.

Perfect location, excellent breakfast options. Comfortable bed, a really lovely looking room. We were delighted to see the Easter egg treat, a lovely touch. Would definitely recommend this B&B. Would use it again. The only issue we had was the street light lit the room up like a Christmas tree, so longer and wider blind or by adding curtains would solve this. The blind on the back window/door on to the balcony fit perfectly. On a sunny day, it's a great place to relax.
