Esplanade Hotel

Perfect location right in the heart of the city. The breakfast was excellent, and the restaurant downstairs served amazing food. The staff were friendly, helpful, and made the stay even more enjoyable.

The only downside was the view from our window, it faced the wall of the neighboring building, but that was not the issue at all.

Good basic quality hotel for business travellers

The hotel is recently renovated and clean. It is conveniently located on the “ring” of the city center, at a walking distance from various restaurants and bars, as well as a supermarket.

The noise from the street is absolutely unbearable. It turns out (after we already had done the booking) that the so-called “standard” rooms face an extremely noisy street. You will hear constant buzzing of cars, awful music from the neighbouring bars, and their customers talking loudly outside your window, all this 24 hours a day. The insulation is so bad, it feels like you are actually on the street itself, not in the room. if you actually want to sleep, the only choice is “comfortable” rooms facing the courtyard, however, the price is higher and it is not justified. There, you can’t hear the street noise so much but yes, you will hear conversations of your neighbours next door, when they take a shower, go to the toilet, make love, etc. We stayed a few nights in the hotel and we felt we were sleep-deprived. Overall, if you want to rest, better avoid the place.
