Nice stay, fab showers good food

Love Esch sur sure. Hotel had a great vibe, lots of old world charm, the 2 mannequins are both a bit freaky and funny. Odd item to come across . Chatty nice staff. Sauna & steam a welcome thing to visit after a long drive.

Breakfast room a little confusing as no one about to to ask where things were. In a different room and a bit here & there.

A short stay in a picturesque location.

Charming location and possibility to park close to the property. The integrated steambath function in the shower is a plus. Although guests have free access to the well equipped sauna, I loved steaming in my room.

The decoration was endearing yet a bit overwhelming. Breakfast buffet was well stocked too yet one needs a bit to get one’s head around on where to find what. Also, I missed a friendly face in the morning to greet the guests.

A smart hotel in a pretty town

The location of the hotel in the centre of this historic town was excellent. The restaurant on the terrace was a fabulous place to enjoy our evening meals and the food was good. The breakfast area was cramped but a good range of food was on offer.

The owners were very brusque and ignored us when we first arrived. However, the member of staff who dealt with us was much better. We were disappointed to be allocated accommodation that was a bit of a walk downhill from the hotel and up some steep and narrow stairs. Also the parking was some distance too. We had booked and paid for half board but, in the restaurant each evening, we were told we could choose what we wanted from the menu. However, at the end we were faced with a large additional bill. I had to remind them that we were half board. They then reduced the bill but we still had to pay a lot extra. Whilst appreciating that we had eaten some a la carte dishes, it should have been made much clearer by the waiting staff or the receptionist. The hotel seems to have taken over the entire town which meant that there were no shops other than the hotel gift shop.

Cosy hotel with good service.

Nice hotel in the middle of the small town of Esch-sur-Sure. The rooms are good and the restaurant in the hotel is good. Breakfast was good, as can be expected for this type of hotel. We had a walk around town. Everything is in walking distance. We only stayed one night, passing by. It looks like a good place to use as a basis to explore the area.

Romantic rooms and a charming brasserie serving local specialties in a great setting.

This is an unusual hotel with multiple rooms spread around different sites (some away from the restaurant and office) on the top of a hill surrounded by a bend of the Sûre. It has lots of character but is very clean and comfy. The restaurant and bar are excellent. We had a couples room with a jacuzzi tub and a view onto the square in front of the hotel. It has a nice terrace for drinks. The staff were outstanding too--my wife was reluctant to take the room we originally reserved, which was up more stairs away in a separate building, but the staff found us an even more romantic room just steps form the bar and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

I wasn't aware how some rooms were not in the main building when booking on booking.com. I imagine that might have been clear on the hotel's website but it wasn't using the booking app.

Luxembourg's beautiful countryside

Hotel de la Sure is nestled in a chocolate box village on the banks of a river with plenty of dog walks. The hotel rooms are dotted throughout the village which is peaceful and friendly

The lanes are narrow and parking is available but tight. Dogs are more tolerated than welcomed

Location is amazing for hiking. Several routes and breathtaking views nearby. And after your hiking, you can take some relax time at the spa and the relaxation room.

big apartment.

the bed was suspended from the ceiling: like sleeping on a swing. No parking near the rooms which are actually a few streets from the hotel/restaurant. wifi didn’t work. shower lights wouldn’t turn off. breakfast was poor ( no scrambled eggs or anything warm for that matter, absent staff, had to squeeze orange juice myself manually. reception not manned…. this seems like a restaurant that rents out some rooms for a price way too high for what it is.

Overall, the food and homey feeling was my favorite part.

Dinner at the restaurant was amazing, I wish we had the option to eat at the restaurant again instead of being opted into the breakfast. Staff was very helpful and friendly. .

The idea of this hotel is brilliant, the execution could have been much better.

Breakfast was very good and a large variety of items were offered. We also really enjoyed the hamman in the room (a steam cabin), especially since this was near the end of our Europe trip and I ended up with a cold. The steam helped me take care of it. The location is also beautiful and rather convenient and I loved the books and decorations in the hotel. It was convenient that there is a bar and restaurant on site, although I found it expensive and our food was really salty.

The young woman who checked us in was very friendly, and unfortunately the only friendly staff member we encountered. Later, we met the owner and she was not friendly at all, the waitress at the restaurant was polite, but totally not engaging and upon check -out we met the other owner, who wasn't especially friendly either. The food in the restaurant was average and over priced and very salty. It wasn't clear which services from the wellness center were included and which ones were not, so we didn't use that. The whole idea of this hotel is absolutely brilliant: the execution could have been much better. Also note that the name of the hotel on our booking (Relax and gourmet hotel) is NOT the name posted on the hotel, so we had a hard time finding it. And also know that parking right in front of the hotel is limited, but there is enough space down the hill on the public street (for free).

relaxing stay close to the best lake in Luxembourg

spacious and clean rooms, hammam was nice to have in the shower, good food in the restaurant, easy access to a great lake nearby. pet friendly. flexible staff.

the rooms are a short walk from the hotel itself and there is no elevator should you stay in the upper floors. some of the staff think too highly of themselves. spa bath difficult to operate. two single mattresses in the double bed.

Idyllic location on a tiny hilltop old village. Comfortable room. Good breakfast with lots of options.

Wonderful and a success

The owners and staff have a keen eye for giving you that welcome feeling. It made our stay one to remember and pleasantly wonderful. The rooms are small but comfortable and the view is just awesome. You'd think you're in a castle tower! We went for a Birthday celebration and the staff made it a BD party, with fun, tears of laughing and the BD girl extremely happy!!

Personally I, suffering from my back, found my bed a little uncomfortable (too hard), but that should not give a lower score to the total experience.

Exceptional, motorcycle friendly with wonderful food and a great fun atmosphere. Location to die for

What can I say, in our 8 day motorcycle tour this was a our last stop before returning home and although our other accommodation was great, this was exceptional. We fell in love with this hotel, and Luxembourg generally. High quality food, querky layout and very friendly staff. Owner is a bonkers Dutch chef, loved it. This is truely a bike and motorist friendly hotel with lots of memorabilia, style ques and a warm welcome. Picture postcard perfect location at the top of a hill in a small hamlet encircled by a river. You'll be woken by the gentle sound of bells, and the amazing views. They have an large range of books, board games and Leffe Ruby beer amongst others. Wonderful food, huge breakfast with everything made on prem from what we could see. You have to squeeze your own oranges! Awesome!
