Beautiful location and spacious room

Beautiful location, view from our balcony on the river and castle on the hill. Spacious room. Amazing big bathroom with spa bath and walk in shower. Comfortable big bed

We arrived when it was dark and we could not find a proper car parking next to the hotel (should have been more lights and more signs). we parked nearby and then dragged suitcases over a dirty road (road is in a poor condition). But apparently if you have driven further away you would been able to drive close to the back entrance. Wellness center is another hotel (need to walk). Smell in the room was weird

Great choice to scout the local area with views on the river

The bathroom and room finishings were excellent. Location was great with all the castles and ruins within walking or driving distance. Good breakfast with lots of choice and the staff at reception and in restaurant were terribly kind and accomodating. Restaurant has a superbe menu.

The road towards the hotel could use a big upgrade.

Great choice if you travel with your fluffy friend

The location is definitely top! Quiet surroundings, away from the road, and the scenic view. The breakfast is good, but dinner was somewhat not matching the price to quality relation. The staff is kind and helpful. It's definitely a great place to stay with your pet, as there are lots of other guests coming with their pets as well.

They have chargers on premises but very expensive: 0.77€ per kWh as on June 2025.

Not a good experience

The location

We stayed in one of the cottages. The room had been sprayed with a strong air freshener probably to disguise the smell in the room. Mould on the curtains, bathroom smelt of drains. 4 lightbulbs not working and the others were very dim. No hot water on our last morning so had to have a cold shower. Nobody on reception to contact until 8am and no alternative contact number. We had to ask for bowls and plates at breakfast and things weren’t topped up leaving a very poor choice. Service at dinner was extremely slow.

Remote and quiet location. Enough parking space. Breakfast was good, dining venue very cozy. Amazing options of ham, cheese , bread and butter.

Staff could be a bit more proactive at the Check In. Bad coffee ☕️ Main road could be in a better condition.

Loved the vibe of this vintage hotel. Great food, wonderful service, and amazing view. A place to help slow down. Off the beaten path. If not in healthy condition a car is definitely needed to go places.

Wonderful and relaxing. Great hiking just outside your door.

The private and relaxing location was perfect for a mid-week getaway. It was exceptional. Very quiet and lovely and the staff were very attentive to us. A wonderful stay.

We stayed in one of the cottages and found the shower water pressure to be low. We hope that is not the way it is normally, however we had such a great time, this was a minor issue for us.

Location is amazing. The staff are super friendly. An absolute stand out is a gentleman called Marc. I arrived late and he waited up for me. Super energized, positive and fully engaged all the time. Really appreciated all of them, Marc in particular

The room overlooks the front of the hotel with views of the forest and stream , and you can see bourscheid castle sitting right on the top , the receptionist is a lovely friendly lady and nothing is to much for her , also the 2 waiters in the restaurant are so friendly plus the food is delicious

Very calm area and close to the start point of Wadlopen in case you go to do this excursion. Beautiful nature around. Very nice restaurant and food and the leaving area very comfortable with a big tv. Breakfast was very good served and good coffee. The room was very clean and everything you need.
