Beautiful stay in nature – we’d love to return

We really enjoyed our stay at this charming hotel surrounded by nature. The location is absolutely beautiful — a rocky mountain backdrop, a peaceful river in front, and plenty of hiking paths all around. The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing, perfect for a few days of rest. Our room had a lovely view, was comfortable and clean, and the heating worked very well. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We also had dinner twice at their restaurant and both times the food was great. They always offer one vegan soup and one vegan main course — both were delicious!

There was a slight smell of humidity when entering the room, but it went away quickly after opening the window. Also, we would have preferred a single double mattress instead of two separate ones, since the bed frame was double. A small suggestion for breakfast: it would be nice to have a few more vegan options, such as plant-based milk, vegan yogurt, or a vegan pastry — otherwise, the only vegan choice is bread with jam, and for €12.50 that’s not much. However, for non-vegans the breakfast options are more than enough. Overall, it’s a wonderful place to stay if you love nature, peace, and good food. Highly recommended!

Everything! Staff were very courteous and accommodating. Outdoor space was so relaxing to sit there and to hear the water and watch the ducks.

When we got there we were informed no cook for the day and we hadn’t had supper yet. It was remedied as the 1 gal fixed us lasagna and a salad which was greatly appreciated.

Beautiful chalet, wonderful hosts, and a glorious mountain location!

Anton and Nutabi are excellent hosts! They were gracious, kind, and helpful. They accommodated our room request even though it meant they voluntarily upgraded our room. They gave us excellent advice on things to see and do, and overall made us feel completely at home. Their staff was also very helpful and friendly. The location is simply outstanding! It sits in front of a bluff and on a river. It is such a charming location. The surrounding countryside is beautiful also. We drove around for one day, exploring nearby castles, and loved the mountains and the forest-covered hills. The twisty mountain roads were a treat also. We had never been to Luxembourg before, but we have fallen in love with it. We hope to come back someday, both to Luxembourg and to Dirbach Hotel Plage!

An absolute gem. My partner, baby and I needed an overnight stay on our way to England from southern Germany. We found this hotel on Booking.com at an excellent price. Our long drive was certainly complemented with the beautiful scenery surrounding this establishment before receiving a warm welcome and quickly shown to our room. We were lucky to arrive in time to enjoy a drink by the calming sounds of the river followed by a delicious three course meal. Compliments to the chef! We were served from start to finish by Elisée, an asset to this company. We were made to feel right at home and thank you once again for a great evening following a long drive. The breakfast was ready on time, offering a selection of hotel classics on the buffet. We would definitely come again. Thanks.

Great location, quiet, beautiful setting.

Great location set into the rock by the river basin. We swam in the river most days, the water was not too cold and the current is weak due to the basin. Breakfast is a high quality buffet. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. Dinner is reasonably priced and again high quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. We had our car with us and it’s a few mins drive to the train station (public transport is free in Luxembourg).

We loved it for its "healing" nature, its overly warm hospitality and its comfort.

The room at the first floor looked down on the river, the sound of the stream flowing over the dam rocked us to sleep at night. Especially the quiet peacefulness of this particular area proved invigorating for body and mind wether human or canine. ;) The breakfast / buffet was ok, although not to be called overly varied. However calling it "basic" would be an understatement, because all was sufficiently present: coffee, juice, eggs, ..., and very fresh bread rolls, chocolate buns & croissants...

I DID like the evening meals / menu's for a reasonable price... tasteful, although they usually lacked "richness" in sauces or prominence of herbs and spices in the main dishes. (in contrast to some of the appetisers that were served before the entré.)p

Very nice place in the middle of nature !

We had a very nice room with balcony, viewing the river Sure. So we could relax on our own balcony to have a drink and enjoy the view . We had a huge bathroom - very clean and efficient . The hotel is in the middle of the river with a fantastic view. Easy to park close to the hotel - Nice outside terras where you can relax. From there you can make lots of trips to nice places along the river sure. Breakfast was ok. Nice staff !

Location is like entering a ferry tale. Simply wonderful, situated at a pittoresk river.

Super location at the river, super quiet, cosy and with a friendly staff. Clean room, the sound of the river beneath is super relaxing. The walk over the bridge to enter the hotel is like walking into a ferry tale. Wonderfull and an excellent place to recover from stress.

The costs for 2 basic meals were quite high. The quality was good though.

Very lovely and value-for-money holiday place "at the end of the road" - but still near enough to the airport and other places. The small river is really beautiful, the rooms clean and some of the staff very positive and friendly. Very much recommended. We found the nearest shops in Vianden some 30 km away and there we also found some reliable well- marked trekking tracks - not very effectively maintained near this hotel... But - still enough....

Good breakfast i served in a very surprising way: the customer has to show the staff what he/she wants and then the staff will give it to you. Elsewhere it has been thought that self-service would reduce costs -and this kind of serving by the staff cannot be more effective than self-service against corona-virus...

Mystical location, everything you need for a weekend stay. Everyone was very nice and helpful. Breakfast and dinner in the restaurant were also good.

A nice respite for a walking tourist

(1) the location - the trail I was walking actually passes over the hotel's riverfront terrace, and the spot is very quiet and scenic. (2) I came on one of the days when the restaurant is closed, and the hotel arranged for its chef to prepare a simple meal for me anyway. (3) The bed was very comfortable.

I arrived on foot at about 2:15 and found out that the hotel reception desk doesn't open until 3:00. The weather was fine, and I enjoyed a rest on the hotel terrace until the hotel opened.

Lovely area, the hotel

The area was delightful, lovely views of the river and surrounding hills. Very quiet and not too many tourists. Room overlooking the river, the water was spectacularly high during the last 2 days. Not having a balcony, it was nice that you could sit out on the terrace all day if it rained, which it did. Just a pity that so many people were smoking.

No WiFi. Well, maybe 10% of the time at most. The room was very warm, the window couldn't be left open because there was no screen to keep out the mosquitoes. The tap in the bathroom was broken and was only fixed two days later- meaning we could either shower using freezing or scalding water. Room was never cleaned whilst we were there, and the replacement of towels had to be requested every morning. We also were told that the fridge needed to be replaced because it made a noise. It didn't and it wasn't replaced. It all seemed a little dated.
