Lovely stay in a brilliant cabin with a lovely helpfull hostess

Well planned out layout for a compact accommodation. Facilities appropriate for cooking small meals. The location is ideal for the main Neolithic sites and for the ferry to Rousay and smaller islands

Nothing to complain of really - we experienced hot weather in June which is rare for Orkney so AC was required instead of heaters!

Sink tap was loose, fan in bathroom didn’t work and no mat to wipe your feet.

A great little space for two. Warm comfortable and very well designed.

Easy access to bus transport. Good view of the loch. Comfortable bed great kitchen with two hot plates not mentioned in the description which was a bonus. The bread milk and biscuits were appreciated thank you.

Some hooks are needed to hang wet coats. The bathroom extractor fan is not working. A shelf is needed in the bathroom to put toothbrush and sponge bag. A chopping board.

Exceptional

Lovely view of the sea from the bed which is very comfortable, great sleep and very quiet at night 😊 Easy to access the bus to Kirkwall and to Stromness and amazing walks. The basket with some Orkney produce was a lovely touch too. Thankyou for having us 😊

Absolutely excellent choice for a stay in Orkney

Nice unit with full facilities and parking outside. We'd thought that a 'down side' was going to be the absence of a dedicated living area but it turns out the TV is on the wall at the end of the bed, so you just lounge in that at the end of the day! Host couldn't be more helpful.

WiFi was patchy when we were there - perfectly OK for normal browsing and app use, but dropping out too frequently to permit use of smart TV in the unit for streaming services.

Perfect location for either working or visiting Kirkwall or Stromness

Ideally suited for my requirements. Made to feel welcome on arrival.

WiFi tended to go off at around 18:00 (Probably due to high demand)

The stay at Craig's Cabin was a great experience which we are happy to recommend. Who is Craig?

The property was spotlessly clean and very well presented with lots of personal touches. Plenty of clean towels were provided along with other essentials. Although small with basic cooking facilities, Craig's Cabin was an excellent base from which to explore Orkney.

Everything was as described although no seating is provided other than the dining table given the small dimensions. Some hooks on the wall had worked loose which will need attention. We were surprised at how busy the road is although it is is quiet at night.
