Our stay at Howe Holiday Homes was lovely, the property and location was perfect to act as a base for exploring Orkney.

The property was clean and in a great location.

I would absolutely be happy to return to this cottage.

The property was the perfect base for exploring the Orkney isles. The nearby co-op in Stromness was handy and the house was spotlessly clean and warm. Comfiest beds ever. Our host was lovely too and welcomed us.

everything was perfect, location, comfort. bed was to die for! Even though the shower broke, Evelyn the owner had it sorted and new shower within hours ! amazing !! thank you so much and we will be back ! x

quiet and relaxing

great location, very close to ferry and shops. very quiet and the most beautiful view you can imagine. parking just outside. the lady looking after the property was really accommodating and welcoming. she went out of her way to make our stay comfortable. the communication was prompt. the place was clean and equipped with anything you could wish.

Close to Ferry terminal on road out of Stromness.Parking to rear of property.Quiet location with views over bay. House extremely well equipped and comfortable. Welcome basket of local produce on arrival was a nice touch.Hostess very helpful and friendly.

No problems at all. Location not on right hand side of Cairston/Howe road out of Stromness as sat nav indicates but a little further on there are 3 brown cottages on the left then follow track to left round back of houses to park .

Lovely comfy cottage, great views and location.

Our cottage exceeded our expectations. The outside hides how wonderful the inside is. It looked like it was recently upgraded, spacious and lovely fresh clean decor. Fabulous views from the sitting room.and main bedroom and a large garden area. Had absolutely everything we needed, even dishwasher tablets, coffee and tea, salt and pepper, and games, books and dvds and a coffee maker! There was a lovely welcome.pack with Orkney products, such a nice touch! Also great location for Stromness and all the major tourist sites. Couldnt have asked for better. The owner Evelyn was lovely, met us on arrival and at the end of our trip, was friendly and personable.

Plenty of room with everything you could need including a large garden area for the kids or the furkids as well as space to dry the swimming gear. Booked for next year, highly recommend

Good amount of space for everyone to relax and enjoy. Very easy location a few minutes drive from Stromness. The Owner was extremely kind, helpful and accomodating.

A real gem of a place.

The location is outstanding. Views over the snow capped hills of Hoy and just a short drive from Stromness. We live on a neighbouring island so are used to the wide open spaces but this place is ace.

Fantastic cottage to stay in. Loved the location for exploring Orkney and very close to the port at Stromness. The host was absolutely amazing, very accommodating, easy to contact and helpful. The cottage was immaculate and very cosy. Perfect for our stay.
