The location and property was adorable!

Comfortable, well equipped flat in a great location, great communication from host and good value.

The location was beautiful. The flat was very well equipped and comfortable.

In our first week, whoever was occupying the flat above (another holiday let?) got up very early every day, seemingly oblivious that their movements might be disturbing us. They then seemed to have left the property and our second week was beautifully peaceful.

The location was terrific. Only a couple of minutes from the ferry. There was a public parking space near the flat. Had most things we needed. The kitchen was terrific to cook in. Washing machine as well. Little corner shop around the corner. Tesco, Lidel and Co-op 25 minutes away in Kirkwall. The bed was super comfortable and the reading material gave us so much information about the island and where to go.

There was no chance of a sleep in with the people upstairs. I think they were “getting their 10,000 steps in” by just walking around the apartment. Up early and very noisy. Only 2 towels for 7 days. The tiny bathroom had no window and only a tiny extraction fan so unfortunately after the first couple of showers we watched the mould grow.
