Very nice house, convenient location in Finstown

The welcome basket with scones and homemade jam was great. The house is spacious, comfortable and well-equipped.

We enjoyed our stay at Finstown, and to have an entire house to relax in.

The keys was an interesting issue. We were unable to lock the front door at any time. We did, however, feel reassured that the area was safe, so we didn't bother you with the keys.

We don't think that there were any issues that bothered us at all.

Lovely hosts who pay attention to detail, ensuring their guests stay in their holiday home is particularly special and very much home from home. We like an organised home and this one certainly was, equipped with everything we needed including binoculars which were particularly useful thank you! The bungalow was beautifully clean and very convenient for shopping and sightseeing the island. Thank you again for such a wonderful stay.

Well equipped and spacious, ready for us to walk in. Nice to have both a drying rack and out door clothesline available. A lot of material and maps available about the sights in the area. We appreciated having milk, filter coffee, biscuits tea and instant coffee. There was oil and salt and pepper for cooking as well as foil cling wrap and other useful kitchen amenities.

We liked everything about the property - it was a home from home - everything you could think of was supplied. The property is in a very peaceful location yet so very handy for local amenities and the main towns of Kirkwall and Stromness.

Absolutely loved our stay in Orkney at Jib Park and we were blessed with beautiful weather.

Neat, clean, compact with a well equipped kitchen. The host had many little extras for which we were very grateful. The cottage was always warm. The second bedroom was a bonus for storing our luggage or for a quiet nap. Our hosts were really helpful with any request. Location is everything and if you have your own vehicle, Finstown is right in the middle of Orkney’s main island and is the place to stay. You are 15-20 minutes away from each extremity of the main island.

Lovely place :-)

We simply liked everything about this place. Location was perfect and the comfort better than we expected. We especially appreciated the adapter for the European electric plugs ! :-) We brought our owns just to find out only one of them worked. And we were 3 of us. Anyway, simply one of the best accommodation we ever had.

Great location, peaceful house with home comforts.

The door was unlocked and keys inside as the owner lives over the back of the property. Finstown is central to touring the mainland. The house was very warm with air source heating and the bed was also really comfy. No noise outside so I had great sleeps. The owner has thought of everything - even the welcome scones. - it’s a real home from home. And it was immaculately clean.

A delightful, well equipped cosy bungalow in a perfect location for exploring Mainland Orkney. Delicious welcoming scones on arrival. The hosts speedily and efficiently fixed a small lighting problem. I will happily recommend is as an excellent base for Mainland Orkney.

Absolutely Perfect

Absolutely everything, the house was perfect and the hosts were amazing and they honestly thought of everything and everything we needed, the extras and treats on arrival were above and beyond and help was on hand anytime we needed, I'd give 100 rating if I could it was a great holiday and like a home from home, loved everything and would definitely stay again.

A wonderful cosy home to to come back to spread out after a days outing

We supplied our own breakfast. Milk, sugar tea and coffee supplied.

We were here for 5 days and it made a great base for exploring Orkney Mainland. Good sized duplex with a large living room. Comfortable bed, bedroom was a little small but we put one suitcase in the other bedroom and that worked fine Wifi worked great, Kitchen well stocked.
