Location was excellent for us. The property was clean and warm (we visited end of November) and has a beautiful view! It had everything needed for our week. Well kitted out. Lovely host, very helpful.

Orkney is wonderful and our accommodation was very well located to see everything.

Great base to explore the Orkney mainland.

Very homely and well set up. Everything you could need for a holiday stay. Very friendly owner, nothing too much trouble. Great location for the Stromness ferry - few minutes drive. Well placed to explore the mainland. Exceptionally clean. Comfu beds, good WiFi, heating was great. Loved it.

Shower was a little weak but absolutely fine (and plenty of hot water).

We were self catering but had breakfast one morning. It was excellent. The location was excellent for visiting all the attractions on the mainland by car. Hosts were very kind and helpful.

We had to phone the hosts when we were near the property as we had a little difficulty finding it in the dark.

Delightful Orkney break.

The property had wonderful views on a hillside overlooking the harbour. The owners live next door and are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They supplied leaflets covering all sites of interest ,transport and restaurants. The property had modern furnishings and the kitchen was very well equipped. All cleaning eguipment was provided. The owners also provided tea coffee, condiments , sauces and other cooking essentials. A wonderful place to stay.

Immaculate cleanliness. Excellent facilities. Lovely views from lounge and front bedroom. Very well located for arrival/departure and various sights; historical and scenic. Owners lived next door and left us alone,; a major positive but were available if required.

Super clean apartment stocked with the basic necessities to cook, wash clothes, and make oneself at home. The owners are friendly and responsive to questions. Within walking distance of Stromness (no sidewalk for 1/4 mi). On main bus route-Stop is Sandwick Road End (by request)

This was my eighth visit to Orkney and I have to say it was the best by far.

The location and accommodation were perfect. The whole experience was exceptional. The owners of the property were lovely and friendly and I felt welcomed there. The property was better than expected and I felt really at home.

An Absolutely Beautiful Place to Stay.

We were very Overwhelmed with this Self-Catering Accommodation. Absolutely Beautiful. Very Clean and Warm (even an electric blanket). The Heating System Broke Down on our last day but luckily the Owners only live next door and sorted it out. All Modern Facilities. So far away from home during our NC500 Tour. But well worth the Journey. Home from Home.

The local small town of Stromness is Very Poor. The reason for this was Explained by our Accommodation Owner who said some Certain Rich Religious Concertium are buying out and closing down all 'Alcahol' Astablisments which is Limiting Tourists. You have to 'Drive' 20 minutes to Kirkwall.

A warm welcome, spacious accommodation with spectacular views!

The views from the flat towards the harbour were spectacular. The hosts - Deborah and Kevin - were absolutely lovely and as they live next door were able to meet us upon arrival. The rooms were spacious and the decoration was very on trend. Very comfy beds and exceptionally clean throughout. The hosts had left a vase of fresh flowers for us which we thought was a nice touch and made us feel even more welcome. Kevin was very knowledgeable about places to visit and the surrounding areas. I would highly recommend.

Superb

The view was incredible, the flat was perfect for the 3 of us. It was very comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked and the couch was comfy. Beds were just fine, exactly as advertised. Great stay overall, amazing location.

LOVED IT

This place is amazing and gorgeous. So quaint and with stunning views. Everything you needed for the stay was provided for self catering and at a high standard, so clean and well presented. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay and lovely hosts who placed fresh flowers for us and even provided tea, sugar, coffee and milk to start us off. Just a short walk/drive from the nearest village and in a stunning quiet area. There loads to see and do on the island with amazing walks in every direction. This is a MUST on your todo list.

Excellent accommodation at very reasonable cost for 7 days.

Self catering apartment was recently refurbished with new kitchen, flooring etc. Everything was perfect - very comfortable with heating available in all rooms as necessary - all at no extra cost. The location, overlooking Stromness was very convenient. Our (well behaved) border collie was accommodated without question and the semi rural location gave us great flexibility.

Very little to dislike. The weather prevented us seeing the Hoy hills on a couple of days and our dog (on lead!) did not appreciate the close company of the herd of cattle in the field opposite, but none of this is a criticism of Lindisfarne self catering. The new cooker instructions took a bit of trial and error on the first night but we soon mastered it.

The nick of time

Views freedom and space to cook and clean and get my stuff back together after some horrendous weather on the way here on my motor bike. Left fully replenished and repaired.

Perfect island and wonderful accommodation

The accommodation was incredible, a newly renovated kitchen and bathroom. Amazing views over Stromness and Hoy. A fabulous and very comfortable sofa. A real home from home, in fact by the end of our ten night stay I was calling it home. We saw lots of wildlife from the front window, hares, curlews, oystercatchers and my husband saw a short eared owl up the track. Deborah was lovely and really helpful and we had an incredible stay on this beautiful island in wonderful accommodation. Thank you so much.

They’ve thought of everything here!

Tasteful furnishings and absolutely spotless. Many thoughtful touches like washing machine detergent (who remembers to take that when touring around?) shower gel, shampoo etc.

We stayed in the self catering part of the house, there was also b&b facilities. Outstanding location (the property overlooks the quaint village of Stromness so is a 10 minute walk).the property was faultless. Spotless, modern( brand new kitchen fitted in March 21) warm and very friendly family

THE PERFECT HAVEN FOR EXPLORING MAINLAND ORKNEY

The location was excellent on the outskirts of Stromness a 5 minute drive or 45 mins walk,the view of the harbour from the lounge was fabulous The Property has been modernised,and is superbly equipped,we had everything we needed to self cater,the lounge was perfectl or us to relax in the evening and it was helped by the view of Stromness The hosts were extremely helpful,with tips and directions,plus recommendations It was also perfect for our dog as there was a track alongside the property to exercise him
