Excellent property with wonderful welcoming hosts. Would hope to come again on another trip.
Everything was spotless and everything provided seemed new and excellent. The hosts had thought carefully about guests needs. Recycling was all on site and easy to do. Beds comfy, night light in hall helpful. The sun lounge was a wonderful when the sun was out. An easy walk into town. Hosts were on hand and repsonded quickly to questions.

A must stay if you come to Orkney
House is lovely, better than the images suggest. Sited just on the outskirts of Kirkwall, up the brae with an outlook to the sea. Spotlessly clean, with comfy beds, good shower and kitchen facilities. Close to the supermarkets, and town centre. Only 5 minutes from Scapa beach. Sheltered garden out the back for alfresco dining, or just laying out on the grass, watching the clouds go by. An excellent base for touring the island, with lots of tourist information and maps provided to plan your itinerary. Only a short drive from so much amazing history. Hosting was excellent too, early communication from Jennifer and Laurence kept us informed until our arrival. Any help we needed throughout our stay was quickly forthcoming. We settled in so fast and didn't want to leave at the end of our stay. Highly recommended.

Great location, central and close to Kirkwall but also spacious with off street parking on driveway. View of harbour from front windows. The house was clean, recently refurbished and well thought out. Kitchen / utility had quality appliances and everything we needed. Immediate response from host when we needed it, easy check in / check out and clear instructions. Lots of attention to detail, including lovely planting in the garden.
Not a problem as bathroom was clean and neat, but just to mention it’s a wet room / no bath. Good for accessibility but just to manage expectations.

We loved it so much on the island and in the house that we did not want to leave.

Tolle Unterkunft
Das Haus ist sehr sehr sauber und es wirkt alles neu. Es gibt hochwertige Küchengeräte und es ist alles vorhanden was man braucht. Das Wohnzimmer hat eine schöne Aussicht aufs Meer. Die Dusche ist ebenerdig zugänglich was ich sehr mochte. Der kleine Wintergarten ist schön um dem Wind zu lauschen. Wir konnten sogar den Garten mit der Picknickbank nutzen. Vom Garten aus hat man Sicht auf Kirkwall. Zu Fuß ist Kirkwall gut erreichbar (15 min bergabwärts) aber auch eine Bushaltestelle ist um die Ecke (haben wir auch genutzt bergaufwärts, einfach im Bus zahlen) der Berg ist aber nicht stark ansteigend.
Die Matratze ist bequem aber etwas hart was für den Rücken gut aber auch schlecht sein kann :-)

Fantastisch!
Super gezellig ingericht. Heel compleet en mooie spullen. Alles is nieuw. Een heerlijke serre om in te zitten was een kadootje. De communicatie met Jennifer verliep snel, ze dacht meteen mee toen storm Floris voorspelt werd en we misschien langer dan geboekt moesten blijven.
Echt helemaal niets aan te merken.
