North Coast Property

In town

Small shower no conditioner, having to set or turn on broiler for heating when we have never used one before, front door would not lock had to write to owners to get directions on how to use the keys properly to get door to lock when it ended up being to lift handle all the way up before putting keys in to lock. We were asked to strip beds that we used for easy cleaning for cleaner, so many doors in the place, layout was a little weird.

Nice place to stay in Thurso city centre

Location is amazing. We have to stay for one night in Thurso because of the snow storm so it was a good experience.

During the winter is definitely too cold inside. The flat is huge so it's hard to warm up.

Home away from home, loved it!

Everything! Perfect for our needs, the host thought of everything. Cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. great location and problem-free parking.

To be honest, the 2nd bedroom was a bit on the small side and claustrophobic for the occupier but it's usually just my husband and I that travel, and I wouldn't hesitate to book here again.

Perfect, would definitely recommend

Beautiful cottage, loved it. It had everything we need for our stay, both to and from Orkney. Lovely and cosy when we arrived and it felt like a home away from home - quite jealous to be honest, it would be the home I'd choose for myself. Close to all amenities, within walking distance and everything worked perfectly and the rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Car parked right outside and never a problem parking at any time.

One tiny thing was that there was no socket next to a mirror, in order to see while drying my hair. We eventually found a spare socket on a bar adapter under the bed in the smaller of the 2 rooms but the occupant of that room wasn't happy with me invading their space!

A comfortable respite before catching the ferry to Orkney

We stayed for only one night before catching the ferry from Scrabster to Orkney. The apartment we extremely spacious, comfortable, and clean. Restaurants and grocery stores were well within walking distance. Some were even right around the corner. There was ample parking right outside the apartment.

Great value for money, great location, great stay. Highly recommend.

Everything was great, exactly as described, and as in the photos. There were board games to keep us entertained. The kitchen was a decent size with all the utensils and cutlery. There was a wee garden at the back to dry our clothes. The property was clean on arrival. We requested a cot and it was provided. The location was perfect, very close to Thurso main center and all the attractions. There was a very helpful guide book in the living room, from which we found options to order takeout for dinner. Communication was prompt and courteous. We arrived a little bit earlier due to adverse weather conditions and the hosts accomodated this with no problem. Overall, very happy with the experience.

Central, easy to come and go from and host was clear and easy to communicate with

It was a central location and easy to find. We could walk into town and it was super quiet.

The kitchen facilities were a little strange... but manageable. The kitchen could of been a bit better arranged but it was fine for one night.

The heritage of the building was beautiful. Main bedroom was huge. The neighbours were great. The host was quick to respond and supply us with what we asked. Great sized table in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable.

Very relaxing and comfortable

It was lovely and quiet which was great, having come from a busy city. Very comfortable, got a good night's sleep. Just a great place to relax. Owners very thoughtful as they had a xmas tree in the living room, which made it feel very festive.

Fantastic stay

Excellent communication with the owner and when we arrived we felt like we were coming home, what a lovely apartment! It had everything we needed: a warm and luxurious living room, big kitchen and fantastic bedroom (beds were so comfy that I wouldn't come out ;-) And I forgot to mention the delicious cookies and hot chocolate that were in the kitchen, loved it!!

Just a small thing: I think that if the extractor hood went outside instead of inside, it would be less warm inside and hardly the smell of cooking ;-)

Cozy cottage in central Town location

Great location within walking distance of places downtown. Was able to park on the street just feet from the front door. Cozy living room and plush carpeting. Good water pressure too.

Unfamiliar with settings on radiators and did not see a thermostat. Bathroom faucets are separate, which is no big deal, but they are right up against the sink basin so are difficult to use well. Book on site says washer and integrated dryer but did not do any drying, no manual found on property. Some googling later don’t think the appliance has a dryer mode.

The comfiest stay of our journey across Scotland

Exactly what we needed for our stay, lovely little cottage in Thurso which was one of our many stops, easy to walk everywhere. Parking spot right outside. TV facilities to watch the sport, a washing machine to clean all of our clothes after a busy week, lovely rooms. Easy to access the keys. Couldn't of asked for much more.
