This is one of the most perfect places I've ever stayed. Three great bedrooms, well equipped kitchen, large flat screen TV, easy arrival and departure and a great host.

The property was clean and bijou. Warm and comfortable. Not a palace but ideal for touring with a springer spaniel. The manager, Stacey, was always on the end of the phone and left tea, coffee, milk etc available on arival.
The wind and rain! But that's Scotland.

Nice, comfortable place to stay for our short stay on the Orkney's. It had good facilities and we found it very comfortable. Even though Burray is 20 minutes or so from Kirkwall, the drive was very interesting and we enjoyed the experience.
All was good, no complaints thank you

The apartment was very comfortable. The bed was great. The kitchen had plenty of utensils. Biscuits, cereals, tea, coffee, and milk was very generous. It's good to have tea towels, bin liners, paper towels, cleaning stuff etc to use.
Netflix was very handy.
This accommodation is excellent but it's the extras that really make it and the fact you can bring your dog.
Nothing.

The location was great, comfy beds, really clean, fully kitted out kitchen, great size. Would definitely book again.
Could do with more blinds especially in the living room and black out blinds in the bedrooms.

Location was very good and the property was easy to find despite the fact we arrived at around midnight and directions from Stacey (host) and overall communications were very clear. In daylight the view was very nice. (There is a nice seafood focussed restaurant in Lady Margaret's Hope, just a short 10 minute drive. Also where the nearest shop is.)
The front room / open plan kitchen is very spacious and gets lots of light.
Parking is easy.
Nice to have breakfast cereals provided.
Be aware that Tangles is the entire first floor and almost all rooms have sloping ceilings. Not a problem if you mind your head as there is plenty of space.
Did not affect us but be aware the only shower is in the main bedroom en-suite

The apartment was lovely and equipped with everything you needed.
The breakfast cereals and milk were really appreciated.
Full range of cleaning products all provided and biscuits and fudge were a lovely homely touch.
Burray is a lovely village and we went regularly to the Sands Hotel, a gentle stroll away for good food and drinks
Really easy to explore the island from Burray
The owner was very communicative and easy to contact.
Excellent in every way

The apartment was lovely and clean. Had more or less everything we needed.
Would definitely stay again.
Only thing was the indoor steps. They were pretty steep.

The apartment was in a great location. It was only an 8 minute drive from the ferry terminal. A 10 minute walk to a hotel to enjoy excellent food. A 2 minute drive to a coffee shop, peaceful location. There was a nice touch as there was an Orkney tablet left in the apartment. There is plenty of cereal to choose from, tea, coffee, biscuits, also available, and even a pint of milk in the fridge. I would definitely stay there again.
There was nothing to dislike.

Comfortable and homely. Exceeded our expectations. The property had everything we needed. Lots of space. Our dogs loved it and we weren’t charged extra like most other places we stayed at.
We liked everything about the property.

A comfortable, clean, ground-floor modern apartment in a quiet location. Dog friendly with off-road parking. Would happily stay there again.
A few more items of cutlery would have been helpful.

Our accommodation and key safe was easy to get to. The apartment was warm and comfortable. Fudge, Tea, coffee, milk and biscuits had been provided. We used the washing machine with our own wash powder and this saved a lot of extra carried luggage on our bicycles. Beds had been arranged as per my request. Plenty of hot water for the mobility suitable shower,
The Sands Hotel was very close for dinner meals.
Breakfast cereals were provided in the kitchen. Checking out was easy.
I would love to book this place again.
We were advised of the closure of the shop, next door.

The apartment was perfect - it was well stocked with products and also treats! Everything worked and was easy to use.Stacey was at the end of a phone if needed. The situation of the apartment was great - Burray is a friendly community, especially if you have a dog! I loved staying across the barriers, near many beautiful beaches yet only 20 minutes from Kirkwall by car or bus.

The Host was very responsive to all my inquiries, which was great. And the milk and breakfast goodies were very much appreciated!! The unit is very spacious, and the kitchen was well- equipped, so it was easy to cook our meals. The main attractions on Orkney are all relatively close - about 15-45 minutes depending on where you are going-since the Island is not that big. We liked the location because it was a beautiful drive to get there and was near the water and St. Margaret's Hope for the ferry. You can also walk to the Sands Hotel, which was a great place to have dinner. Our only challenge was that the host sent pictures of where the lockbox for the keys were so I knew it was on a post, but it was a bit hard to tell what unit ours was, and I'm not sure I would have found the lockbox without the help of the neighbor. A better narrative description of which unit was ours and where the lock box is- right across from the door- would have helped.
The group of buildings doesn't have a sign on the street - which would be very helpful in finding it, even if it was small, or within the group of buildings to make sure you knew you were in the right place. Or the host could send a googlemap pin that others could download to help find the place.
Thanks!

the cottage was cosy, clean & had a comfortable bed, plus pillows.
The situation was fine, especially as we had the Sands hotel a short walk away.
The Seaview Stores were closed, & I imagined because of the name that the cottage would have a sea view, but we only looked at another bungalow.
Also the contents of the cottage were quite basic - only 2 wine glasses & 3 tumbers not really big enough for beer.
A couple of lamps & some cushions would have added enormously to the feel of the place!

Everything to like. The location was great - very peaceful; partial but still lovely sea views (see photo); very handy for a beach and dog exercise; lovely pub/restaurant in village 5 mins walk away; Kirkwall less than 20 mins drive away; less than 10 minutes from St Margaret's Hope ferry arrival / departure. Apartment also very comfortable and cozy (this was February). Very speedy internet. We also had a staggering amount of sunshine!
Nothing significant. The slightly odd location of the only shower (in the en-suite) was a minor drawback. Bring your own coffee-making hardware. But really - it was lovely and these are trivial criticisms. We'd go back tomorrow!

Kelpie was exactly what we needed for our week’s stay. There was plenty of parking for our motorhome and the facilities in the accommodation were excellent. We were able to get our washing done and dried in a day!!
Unbelievably we found it too warm in the house and the controls on the storage heater didn’t seem to respond as we thought. On the plus side this meant that our washing dried in a day!!

I like that I was able to collect the keys without coming into contact with anyone, and knowing the host was only a phone call away cor anything was ideal.
There isn't anything I 'didn't like' but the two things I picked up on was the stained oven gloves and pot mat. It's natural these types of items will be marked/stained ect due to wear and tear but in my option should have replaced before guests arrive.
Other thing very noticeable on arrival was the dirty windows. More than likely due to strong salt winds coming in but it did look like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I enjoyed my stay in the property, everything we needed was available. These are only things I could fault.

Lovely apartment, spotlessly clean with all amenities. Location was brilliant great walk for the dogs, shop attached but not open while we were there as they had a bereavement. Sands Hotel nearby for Lunches, Dinner, drinks etc.
A security light to help locate and see the numbers on the key safe would be helpful when checking in when dark. This is not a complaint merely a suggestion 🙂

From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed
The place was well equipped and clean
It's in an amazing central location so no matter where you were going it didn't take ages to get there
Amanda was a life safer letting us know about the ferry situation and letting us stay later than normal to check out
Having to leave
