We had a fabulous time and this lovely home was easy to relax in.

My friend and I were absolutely delighted with the property. It's location is great as it is so close to all amenities. Richard kept in touch regarding access and the property was made ready for us despite us arriving earlier than expected. I have no hesitation in recommending this property and hope to return. Orkneyinga is a perfect base for exploring Orkney and it's islands.

We fell in love with Orkney

Very smooth check-in experience, reassuring when arriving with a late ferry knowing there will be no issues on arrival. We loved the Puffin themed deco and the local cheese & oatcakes! Property has everything you ever need, parking right in front of the house is very convenient. Located on a side street to Kirkwall's main street makes for nice strolls for shopping or going out for a pint. Town was lively as there was a big wedding in St Magnus. Short drive to Scapa Beach, we had a swim as well, the water wasn't even too cold. Thanks Richard for everything!

I gave this property 5 stars because there was nothing to dislike. Very nicely decorated and well equipped little house right in the center of Kirkwall that felt like a home from home. I had my choice of the two bedrooms and opted for the back bedroom which was wonderfully quiet with a comfy bed and choice of pillows. The welcome basket was very generous and the price for two nights was very reasonable. It is surrounded by shops and coffee places. I fully recommend this to anyone as a great option to a hotel.

The Best Place in Orkney!

The location can't be beat! I also appreciate the hosts thoughtfulness in providing items like cheese and cookies. Communication was excellent as well; Richard had been very responsive. Parking is also included with the stay. We didn't drive but it would have been a plus.

Great location, clean, cosy and perfect for what we needed. Welcome pack was a great addition and it's clear a lot of love, care and thought have gone into the property. Lots of we quirks which left us with a smile on our face.

Central location. Comfortable, clean, all necessary facilities and equipment. Richard, the host, is approachable, and extremely helpful. Perfect base for exploring the islands of Orkney. Highly recommended.

Cozy and clean apartment that delivers!

We were so impressed by this apartment! I must admit I was a bit hesitant because the price per night was very low compared to the rest of the places we stayed at on this Scotland 2-week trip, so my expectations were lower. It's right smack center of Kirkwall - I would think demand outweighed supply. Anyway, absolutely nothing to worry about. The apartment is not large, but still had two bedrooms upstairs with the main bathroom and the kitchen/living space and another toilet with sink downstairs. It was cozily decorated with puffins - just a cute apartment. Everything was clean, everything worked great. Free parking right in front too. Just a comment though - there are four apartments in a row, and supposedly four parking spots - but only room to park three vehicles. It's a 5 minute walk to the St Magnus Cathedral - could not be more centrally located. Never met the host but he was prompt with replying on the booking.com app and allowed us to remain parked in front of the building after checkout so we could see the Kirkwall sites.

There was a kilowatt measuring unit in the kitchen that made me look twice since we exceeded the "budget" limit.

The central location was ideal The accommodation had everything we could have required and more . Comfortable beds and lots of local information .

Was a bit warm in evenings and didn't want to touch heating but a few open windows sorted that .

Perfect for 2 people or small family in a good central location.

Excellent central location opposite the Archive Cafe (our favourite for lunch) and easy to get to airport. Homely terraced house with modern and clear TV. Lots of info available, and several thoughtful touches.

The double beds were well made but rather too narrow for us oldies (less than 5ft wide) and there was very little storage space in the second bedroom. This was completely understandable, though, because of the small rooms. The house would be great for 2 people or a slim couple with children/1 friend.

Lovely little place right in the quiet, mainly pedestrian region of Kirkwall. All you need in the home and everything within a few minutes walk.

Comfortable stay in central Kirkwall

Very comfortable well equipped apartment in central Kirkwall. It is about a one minute walk to the main shopping street of Kirkwall, within easy walking distance to the port and the bigger supermarkets are within walking distance. The bathroom has really good storage for our toiletries whilst staying there. Car parking is available either in front of the apartment or in a car park quite close by. The host was very responsive to any communication. The host kindly provided some Orkney shortbread, oatcakes, cheese and fudge. The starter pack of tea, coffee, jams was also appreciated. A great place to stay when exploring Orkney.

The shower was rather difficult to operate the first time because it was the first one we had experienced that operated that way. The shower itself was good.

Most thoughtfully appointed! Apt. in middle of Kirkwall!

The lighting placement. Loved having a 1/2 bath/toilet. Everything in “Downtown” Kirkwall is an easy walk of a block or 4. The artwork represents the area, quite lovely-got tickled at the stacked stones, became a fan of the stones on the beaches! Richard very easy to work with! Proximity to Archive Coffee (< a block)-so delicious!

Exquisite apartment close to everything

I loved this apartment. Everything inside was new and spotlessly clean. It’s very comfortable and efficient. I appreciated that every switch is labeled and there is a binder with instructions for every appliance. That is so helpful! I really appreciated having the washer/dryer to do my laundry. Great communication from the owner including easy self check-in instructions. Just a few steps to the main pedestrian street. (For a great dinner be sure to make reservations at the Storehouse a block away.)

Quiet haven in the centre of town.

Place was fabulous. Position in town excellent. Very quiet.

It is extremely difficult to find. Route advised via Bridge St was blocked off at Shore St. Shower needs the glass put back in not the curtain. It is also not semi detached. There's units on both sides.

I did not understand that the codebox was the keybox Thought that I could open the door with the code. But after a call to Richard, the very friendly host, explaining me what to do, everything went okay.

Fabulous location. A tasteful, modern and relaxed decor that created an ambience to enjoy the location and surrounds. The car park was a bonus. Owner went above and beyond to accommodate last minute changes in our arrival schedule and making our stay a pleasant travel experience.
