Clean, modern, quiet. Private parking. Everything in the unit you could need to make or heat up your own meals,

Very comfortable accommodation, safe parking for 2 motorcycles, plenty of room for all of our gear.

Unfortunately the town of Wick was very limited on where you could eat, one place was fully booked for an event, and the Indian we did eat at took a liberty with the bill. The charge for the meal was £41 and they insisted on cash; I gave them £50 in notes and they did not bring any change at all. When I went and asked for my change, they reluctantly gave me 5 £1 coins, keeping the remainder as a tip.

The house was a good size with 2 bedrooms with comfortable beds and nice decoration. The living space was kitchen/dining/living combined and big enough with comfortable seating. Lots of windows so plenty of light.

Where to start: (1) Bathroom - the rainhead shower gave us a drizzle from the outside edge and there was no anti-slip mat for the large shower tray which we felt was unsafe with slippage a real possibility. Being 4 adults we had been provided with a bath towel each, but there was only 1 hand towel left in the house for us all to use - hmm! (2) Kitchen - the oven/grill and trays had not been cleaned and were filthy so we were unable to make use of them. (3) Not the owners fault but on the last day we had a leak from the water tank which was housed in the hall cupboard and which spread into the bedroom soaking the carpet. During the night this spread into the wardrobe where the electric box was situated and soaked the carpet there too. To try to stop the leakage we switched off the immersions so could not have showers before we left in the morning, and tried many times to call the emergency number provided for the owner and left messages but didn't receive any call back or acknowledgement - very unsatisfactory!
