What a stunning place to stay.

It's a fantastic cabin in an amazing location. The skies were so dark and it was silent at all times of the day. If you want solitude then you need to visit here. We got some stunning photo's of the night sky / Milky Way

Very remote but nice,small (esp bedroom areas) cabin , not particularly close to food stores or rest

Both beds were jiggly/uncomfortable, couldn’t adjust heat to a bit warmer, while understanding this is a self catering there were no paper towels/napkins in the kitchen (standard in all other SC where we’ve stayed), several outlets (small bedroom and one in living room) didn’t work

Breathtaking views

Beautiful scenery! Very quiet and comfortable. The retreat was well appointed and tastefully decorated. Only drawback is if a washer is provided please provide laundry detergent. Bring provisions if you’re there for a while. It’s a long drive to find something to eat. Otherwise, breathtaking view!

Brillant place to stay.

It very quiet all you here are the odd sheep and cows. Just a beautiful sound. Parking is so accessibliable.

The TV kept cutting out I contacted the host and her husband fixed it and it worked well.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Orkney!

The accommodation was spacious and very comfortable with everything you needed. The deck was great for sitting out and having dinner and taking in the fantastic views of the countryside! We loved that it was so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommend the Rymmon Retreat if you're looking for somewhere comfy and peaceful to stay on Orkney!

That we only stayed for two nights! We'll definitely need to stay longer next time!

Booked for a party of four, then the host rearranged space so that it’s more comfortable for three, but the fourth has to sleep on a sofa bed. This was fine for us as an overnight stay, and the host communicated the change in advance of our stay.

Comfortable night at Rymmon retreat

Very comfortable stay at Rymmon retreat. We were only there for one night and weather was very wet so probably didnt see place at its best. We were on a cycle trip so grateful to get warm and dry followed by a good nights sleep! We didn't meet our host Sara but we did communicate through site

Beautiful place to re-energize!

Spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the surrounding views and overall serenity of the place. My niece and I chose this place to relax in the middle of a busy holiday. I hope to return again soon!

Great rural location with privacy and views

So glad we picked this accommodation on Orkney . It is rural , but not far from the historic sites , some small towns, and less than 20 miles from Stromness or Kirkwall . Beautiful views and a very well outfitted cottage with great sunsets. If we ever get back to Orkney we would stay here again !

Adequate for a couple of nights for two people

Comfortable lounge area. Reasonable size kitchen. Wifi good. Great location with a view and birds. Parking by the lodge. Adjustable heating to suit requirements.

Although the lodge made the best of the space it had, the bedroom was a bit small and the en suite way too small. The shower wasn't designed for a larger person and it was difficult to get in and out of and close the door, whilst the over bath shower was difficult to get in and out of as the bath was deep and there were no grabs rails. The accommodation was adequate for 2 but 3 people would really struggle. There was nowhere to hang/put clothes whilst in the bath/shower. There was no basket to put washing in to take it out of the washer and carry to the dryer, located in a shed outside or clothes line. Plugs were difficult to access in the kitchen, being under units and there were no sockets near the table which is where you want to sit and plug in a laptop. The gas kettle was very annoying.

Outstandingly beautiful setting

A really well-equipped lodge in an outstandingly beautiful setting, just a minute's walk from a loch with sightings of curlew, greylags, oyster-catchers and - most amazingly - an owl which did a close fly-by most evenings. Sarah, the host, was responsive and friendly, and has clearly put a lot of thought into what makes a great holiday experience. Loved it, and it was a real wrench having to leave.

Nothing really. If pushed, I would have to say I needed to change bedrooms because of the noise of the boiler, but that's more about me being a light sleeper than the boiler being unduly noisy.

The location was stunning, located in the north of the main island. Extremely quiet. The place was very clean and comfortable, unfortunately we didn't stay long enough indoors to enjoy the comforts as the weather was amazing! Well stocked DVD, games and book library. Super prompt and friendly replies from host when we were being idiots and couldn't find bits and bobs that were left out for us.

Nicely appointed home in a lovely location.

After days of staying in guest houses and bed and breakfasts, it was delightful to have our own place. The house had everything we needed, including a lovely view. I was exhausted from days of traveling and the master suite bedroom, with such great bedding, was exactly what I needed. I slept 11 hours.

We were planning to use the sofa bed and there was no bedding available for it. We figured it out however and had a great stay.

This trip involves alot of moving each day to a new place. When we arrived here, alone with the view, the sheep, the loch and the windmills, we wished we had just spent a week at the Rymmon. Adorable trailerhome with every last detail, clean, roomy enough and relaxing. (You don't notice the house behind the hill:)

away from the main house but had all you need for a great stay and views over the lake plus a dryer in the shed alongside the unit. beautifully fitted out unit all modern facilities even a separate room for 2 kids. all up very very good.
