Well the mile plus walk to the hotel was unexpected. I didn’t do my research on that. Plus having to take a ferry to get to the walk was also unexpected. But that is why the hotel is so calm and peaceful.

Relaxing spot

Lovely views, great spot for dinner. Staff were really great and we loved being able to swim in the lake. Close to the boat stops for a day out too.

Having to carry luggage up 4 flights of stairs (although to be fair the staff did offer to take them!) The room was also a little bit basic inside, and would benefit from decor that matches the beautiful view

We were there for one night but would have liked to have stayed longer!

Great facilities including private lake swimming, parking and a really nice restaurant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Coffee station for refreshment as required was a great idea.

Access is quite narrow with long sections with no passing places, but we managed both ways in our large estate without incident.

The top room is hot, if we open the window, there were a lots of mosquitoes, very difficult to sleep. it was a bit difficult to drive in and out, the path is very narrow.

Great location on the lake but beware of the access road

Beautiful lakeside location. Rooms very clean and fresh with nice towels and bed linen

The drive from the road is nerve wracking. It’s a single track road (used by traffic going both ways)with few passing spaces and the lake on one side and cliff on the other. Our room was on 4th floor and no lift. Hot in the room with no air con and mosquitoes come in if you leave windows open. Ate in the restaurant once, expensive (as is Switzerland) and even charged for tap water which I think is terrible when the hotel offers free bottled water and coffee daily at a station on the stairs.

Great view of the lake, awesome private beach, free SUP to use.

Fully aware that there is no air conditioning but never aware that the windows don't have mosquito nets. So either it was too hot in our room or we were sharing the room with mosquitos, flyes and moths. Also, since next to the hotel people are raising sheep and cattle, the number of flyes is huge. We are constantly fighting the flyes during breakfast so they won't sit in our food. The flyes are everywhere. Also, the height of the rooms is like 205 cm. Not a good place for anyone tall.

Beautiful hotel with amazing lake view, but rooms were small.

The view of Lake Lucerne from the hotel was amazing, and the scenery was beautiful. The restaurant staff was friendly and helpful. But do note that they do not provide room service. Pet-friendly hotel. Upon booking, they did inform the guest that the road to the hotel is very narrow, so I made sure I arrived in the daytime. They also informed beforehand that there is no elevator in the hotel, so I was prepared for it.

The room was small, but it was clean and the toilet looked newly renovated. It was hard to find anyone at the hotel reception. I had to ring a bell and sometimes there is no response, or I have to go find a restaurant staff and they looked busy. On my check-out day, I wanted to pay for my ordered-in dinner with sincere intention. At 10.30am. I rang the reception bell twice, popped into the restaurant twice but could not find anyone. And I had to leave sharp at 10.30am for my next destination. And now I am having much trouble to pay for it, when all this inconvenience could have been avoided if they are assigned someone at the reception, or at least be readily contactable.

Fantastic Hotel

Staff v friendly and v helpful. Rooms were excellent and clean, very good shower. Loved the views:). Dining room was decorated so nicely, all small details perfect and cute. We had an issue with TV and staff was so helpful,they called engineer, even it was Saturday night and within 30min everything was sorted, that was really impressive. One of the best hotels where we ever have been !!!!!

Best stay probably ever.

This hotel was beyond expectations. The owner has done well to deliver a fantastic experience. We were greeted by very energetic and friendly reception staff who made us feel like friends immediately. The road to get to the hotel was very challenging, but the reception made us feel at ease by sharing that it is part of the "charm" of the area, and that the locals would be friendly drivers. They have easy access to the lake, with a private beach, an outdoor sauna and a "self service" bar/icecream stand. The view was STUNNING and the whole staff only added to the entire experience. My whole family came away with positive opinions and experiences.

The previous reviews do not give the property justice. I hope more people provide reviews like mine, I was hesitant to book when trying to decide on our accommodations because of the mixed reviews. I was so pleasantly surprised by the property, I highly recommend staying at the Seehotel Baumgarten to anyone who may be on the fence.

Breakfast was nice. The location is superb. Very cute, cosy, and beautiful small village of Kehrsiten, on the edge of Lake Lucerne. Very Picturesque place. Very quiet and relaxing place.

Regular pick up from or drop to Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock boat station would be helpful. Only limited boats from Kehrsiten-Dorf boat station (which is closer to the hotel). Ms. Monika and Ms. Natalie were very kind in picking me up from Kehrsiten-Bürgenstock boat station.

Great place for a family weekend with lots of hiking opportunities and amazing nature around.

Very nice place, good value for money. The hotel has a very friendly staff; the food was amazing! The location was also great, with a very nice view.

For those who don’t like to walk up and down the hills it’s better to have a car, because the hotel is located 25 minutes walk away from the nearest public transport (ferry). There is no elevator in the main building, so be ready to walk three floors up if you get the room upstairs.

very disappointing and badly informed.

the location was excellent, even though it is a tiny road leading to the hotel that can be an issue for some.

There was no staff/service at all and only after booking it was clear the restaurant was closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. It was clear before booking that construction may cause disturbance during the day (we came only for the Thursday evening/night/breakfast) but without any service/staff/bar/restaurant (except for breakfast) present at all, it should not be allowed to offer rooms at this price point combined with a great lack of information and service.

Pleasant

The hotel is located on the lake and has wonderful view. It is a small family run hotel. It is perfect for guests who like hiking and walking in nature. The road to arrive to the hotel is very narrow and difficult to do it with a big car, like a SUV. Breakfast was very good with homemade and local products.

It is very expensive and has no elevator for the rooms upstairs.

Suicide inspiring disappointment 😂 Take your earplugs with you or cancel!

Almost all. Sadly, the construction site and the noise ruined the whole experience.

CONSTRUCTION SITE NOISE FROM 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M. Banging, hammering, far beyond the times I had been warned the noise would have to be accepted: „possible noise emissions until 17:30 on week days“. Not true. As the really noisy construction works continued for another 2 hours after 17:30 and during the dinner, I was told that „the work has to be done“ and that if I don’t like it, I can leave 😂
