Anstatthotel Horw - app self-check-in

The room size was very good. For us, the view out of the balcony was also very good. Although the kitchen is small, but is good enough for travellers with well stocked kitchen utensils and crockery. Property seemed new and well maintained. It is also very big in size, with may be 100 plus rooms. The bus stop is just at the door step.

Please keep in mind that it is in Horw, not Lucerne, so local tourist pass will not be available. One thing we didn’t like was that the washroom door was of glass (although frosted) and didn’t have any stopper/ latch inside. For a room with 5 beds and 4 guests, we had to stick a sticker outside the toilet door that indicated someone was inside. The toilet door didn’t have a frame and was open at both top and bottom, so it wasn’t airtight. The kitchen top was just adjacent to the toilet door. Their architect could have planned it differently.

The rooms are fine and clean but very very very basic. There is no real try to make it coasy or warm. You get wat you see on the foto’s and there is a lot of Ikea stuff. I realy dont like the need for an app that functions as a roomkey. I get the idea that it is a hotel without a desk but it doesnot work that good. Parking is good and plenty of room. Bring coins because the parking machine is from middle ages! We had a good stay but there was no wow. It was functional.

Quiet and comfortable, well equipped kitchenette, nice balcony so can open door for fresh air

Pillows were very flat

Clean and safe

No air conditioning, need CHF coins for parking, difficult to open doors for first entry.
