Charmed in Stansstad

We had previously stayed here some years ago and decided to visit again. The hotel is now a boutique hotel and has been updated with themed rooms. Very charming, comfortable and well done, we felt more like guests in someone’s home. The main floor consists of an excellent bakery and restaurant with a large outdoor dining patio. Breakfast is excellent! Reservations for dinner are a must and the food is everything we remembered and enjoyed! Located between the train station and the pier, with easy access to all the nearby attractions.

Good location ideal only for overnight stay

The room was clean. The restaurant is good. We have not tried their menus but breakfast was very good. Location although a bit noisy from cars is near to train and bus

The bed was squeaking by every move and very uncomfortable. The adjacent room door is defective, every time the neighbors open and close them there is a loud creeking. We stayed in "Nidles" The staff are friendly but stressed from restaurant guests. Definitely not ideal for longer as an overnight stay.

Where to start? Warm-hearted, down to earth, slowcation, the bakery-pastry odir at breakfeast which was once a buffet and once à la carte, both very delicious and of high quality, attentive and warm-hearted, helpfull, caring and family friendly staff. The rooms are cosy, very clean and have a unique creative concept style around the topic of bakery/pastry/paturage alms etc. Parking immediately at the hotel, enough plugs in the room, free water, free fruits on thw floor to help yourself, comfy beds.. The food in the restaurant was of excellent quality with surprisingly creative and tasteful sides. Not extremely many options on the menue, but this is sign of the high quality that is provided. 30 min. until 2 ski areas that are worh visiting, it was a very positive surprise!

Theme around the rooms. Breakfast was brilliant. Although my German has seen better days, the staff never seemed to just switch to english and I appreciate that I could still practice some german :)

Super friendly stuff They helped me big time guilding me step by step how to reach my destination the cheapest and fastest way. Downloaded me local app themselves and helped me to book my ticket. Lovely welcome at the reception with big smile. Thank you :) I will definitely come back again. Room are classical, but bathrooms are renovated good. No concerns

Very friendly and helpful staff (who fortunately spoke English), great breakfast. close to the lake and a variety of restaurants. Nice room.

We were at the back of the hotel and kept the window open to cool off and it was a bit noisy with people chatting at 5am. Not the hotels fault though.

Nice location for very short term stay- not suitable for dogs

The rooms are beautiful and you can truly feel the love for detail. Even though the rooms might appear to be rather small, the cleverly used interior design makes them feel much bigger. The free water bottles as well as plates, knives,spoons and forks available on the desk in the main floor area are a very big plus. I arrived about three hours before check in and the staff went above and beyond to get me into my room earlier. A special thank you to the room maid, who did a brilliant job. My dog and I highly appreciated it. All the staff are very helpful and try their best to make you feel at home.

I was not very happy with the parking situation. In contrast to other reviews I must say, that there are not as many parking slots as I would have liked. Especially on a busy weekend, when the restaurant is very busy. On arrival I did not find a parking space and had to park in a public area on extra costs. Furthermore the parking slots are really tiny. Especially nowadays when SUVs are more common than small cars. Breakfast was of good quality, no doubt about that, but choices not as extensive as I would have expected from other reviews. Unfortunately I was not informed by staff upon arrival, that I could go to the nearby bakery and order any kind of cake for free, as it was included in my booking. I only overheard this on my last day, when a staff member informed newly arrived travellers about this fact. The rooms are really noisy. I literally could hear my next door neighbours breath. Especially when travelling with a young dog, who unfortunately still reacts to noise, I would not advise to stay at this hotel, and if only for training purposes. The location promises close proximity to the lake. However it is the marina area and you cannot easily take a stroll there. If you continue down the lake path, the local lido prevents you from getting any closer to the lake. You then have to walk around it and quite a distance alongside the road, before you finally reach the lake shore. I was really disappointed about this, as I had chosen this hotel especially for its close location to the lake and had hoped to be able to get my feet and my dogs paws into the water, without having to walk through the heat for a while.

The perfect hotel to use as an overnight pit stop during our camper van Easter 2022 trip.

The hotel was a perfect overnight stop over on our camper van trip to Tuscany. Staff were welcoming and friendly, rooms were roomy and comfortable. A perfect location just off the A2 so no huge detour of our route south, upon arrival what struck us was how quiet and clean the whole area was. The restaurant food was really good with the icing on the cake being breakfast (included) which was amazing. Would not hesitate to stop here again on our next van holiday.
