Great location with gorgeous view, perfect restaurant.

Great location, wonderful lake view from the room and balconies! The restaurant in the hotel is very good - not huge selection of dishes, but the quality of food is very good. Lakeside of the hotel is just gorgeous!

Cleanliness of the SPA and room could be improved. Not all saunas were working while we were there. Some of the facilities look used and not very cleaned/repaired.

Not a 4 star hotel

Our view and our bed were great. The bedroom and bathroom were a great size.

The spa and pool were not warm enough to be enjoyable. There were not enough loungers and jacuzzi constantly full. The hotel apart from the bedroom is definitely not 4 star at all. It is dated and breakfast was cold. Limited pastries or hot selection. We spent a lot of money to stay there but is was not at all a 4 star hotel. They also told us just before our stay they were closing the restaurant which would have been good to know before booking as there were only one or two places to eat in the area and these weren't great options either. It was our last stop for our honeymoon and we were hoping for somewhere really special however this sadly was not the case. They even charged us for an hour later check out because I was super ill and didn't want to wait around the lobby until our train. Pretty disappointing overall for what we paid.

A happy place for the family to resource and relax

The view is just amazing. We went to this hotel foe the 3rd time in 6 years and still love it like the first time. The combination of the location, the view, the SPA, the food and swiss cleanliness & service are just great. It's a hiden gem I would recommend to couples looking for a romatic break, a family with young Children and/or grandparents.

Don't go for the spa. Go for the view.

The position of the hotel is fantastic and what it made this stay worth. The view from the lake view room is great. Breakfast is varied and quite good.

This hotel is a mix of renovated and very old parts. The spa was quite disappointing, small, water in the pool lukewarm, some parts not working. For dinner we were assigned a table in the last room of the several they have for the restaurant: it was very depressing sitting there with worn out carpets, tape (!) along the frame of the windows, very dated furniture. The food was "okish": egg in polenta crust delicious, but the risotto was not edible overcooked and so salty, tasting basically like Aromat.

A relaxing lakeside getaway with a stunning view, great facilities, friendly and attentive staff.

Seehotel Pilatus was a great stay! The hotel actually consists of three different buildings with a variety of room types, which makes it quite unique. On my last night, I also discovered a hidden bar downstairs with live music — a really fun surprise! I had a single room thet was really practical and had a cute hanging chair with a lovely view of the lake. Breakfast was tasty with lots of variety, and the staff were professional and attentive. I really liked the swimming pool, and easy access to the lake. I’d definitely come back again!

The only downside was that there wasn’t a staff member designated to the spa area. It would have been helpful to have a little explanation about the spa facilities at check-in.

Excellent location and view

Excellent location. Room was decent sized. The balcony was facing lake and still had good privacy. Pool and spa facilities were excellent. Breakfast was included and was above our expectations.

The air conditioner was far away from the bed and located very close to the window. It was taking many hours yo get the room cool in the month of July.

Comfortable stay: the pool and lake were great.

Very comfortable bed, extremely clean, wonderful view to the lake and very quiet. Also, plenty of wardrobe and storage space. Excellent breakfasts with plenty of choice. The pool, spa and terrace are wonderful.

Lack of coffee/tea making facilities and the need for a kettle in the room. The air con was a bit squeaky - maybe the unit needs a clean? Also, just give the balcony glass a wipe.

Great location but disappointed with room.

Perfect location on the lake away from Lucerne

I did not get the room I booked through Booking.com. They said it was not available so upgraded me to a double room. Even though it had a double bed and balcony, the view was interrupted and if I had the single room with winter garden the swinging chair would have been in air con.

Gorgeous setting overlooking Lake Lucerne

The location on lakefront superb. Smaller than expected room for the price but lovely outdoor space made up for confined room. Bfast great so many choices. Spa and pool superb. Great to have ability to iron clothes. Coop supermarket and great Asian Takeaway/eat in Restaurant across the road. Quiet and tranquil setting without huge crowds of tourists.

Pillows were very lightly filled. Would have liked another option. Eat out options very expensive. Glass Cafe was great.

An adequate hotel in a wonderful location at a premium price, though maybe a good deal for the area.

The location and various water facilities at the place were super. The pool, spa, sauna, lake, etc. (all the water) were all great. The location near mountains, cable cars, hiking, lake trips, etc. was great. Our room was good with a partial lake view, but nothing as amazing as the price would suggest.

The facilities feel a little dated and the pool moisture and smell permeate the hallways. It seemed expensive for what it was, though it is Switzerland, so maybe that is just how it goes. We ate a meal at the restaurant and it was expensive and average at best.

Great lake view and breakfast

View from the room across the lake and Bürgenstock was spectacular (if you add also a rainbow which ended in the lake water just outside hotel, it was beyond believable). Breakfast was very good too. Staff went an extra mile to fulfil our wishes promptly. Spa is well appointed with very large saunas (for a hotel) which were practically empty when we visited. We liked the small, cold water pool for cooling after sauna.

The room was in the old part of the hotel which is renovated but you can't do miracles in an old house. I assume room pictures are from the newer part of the hotel. The most unpleasant and totally unexpected at this time of the year were mosquitos which prevented us from enjoying fresh air during the night. Air conditioning is placed above bed, which is unpleasant too. Given it was one of the most expensive hotels I reserved on Booking, it wasn't a good value - maybe fair for Switzerland, but not good.

Very nice vue on the lake

I really liked the room and the vue on the lake. It was really comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were also really nice. The staff of the hotel were also very nice and accommodating.

Although it has a nice vue on the lake, the hotel is next to a busy road and it was a bit difficult to found a place to walk my dog safely without her lead.

Seehotel Pilatus is my favourite place in Switzerland.

This is my favourite hotel in Switzerland. I received a room upgrade this time with a fantastic view. The room and the bathroom was really small but perfect for 1 person who went to Hergiswill for relaxing in the spa and have outdoor activities. The sauna is renewed, wonderful place. Very good breakfast, the best ever birschermuesli that I ate in my life. I came back this time to celebrate my birthday and becoming Swiss, great time that I will never forget. Thank you very much!

Best Rest for Body and Soul

A cozy hotel, a wonderful view of the lake and mountains from the window, a delicious breakfast - what could be better than such a vacation? The staff was very attentive, always happy to answer questions and give good advice. On cold evenings, you could warm up in the sauna and relax in the spa area.

Beds are big and soft. We had a lake view room it was beautiful view. Hotel staff is very friendly especially the young lady at reception. Has its own electric car parking it was very convenient.

Nicely decorated room with swing seat facing the lake. Very comfortable and has aircon for hot summer period. Had a drink at the platform that stretches out from restaurant terrace over the lake, it’s amazing.

Good service but need to check the hotel and confirm your expectation

The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the lake and there are a variety of food for the breakfast.

I booked the hotel room because it was mentioned that it comes with air-conditioning. However when I checked in the hotel reception told me it was chargeable at CHF10/night. This caused some unhappiness as it was not mentioned in the hotel website. After showing the reception of my booking, they informed that they will switch on the aircon and waive the charges.

The configuration of the room - the shower & toilet are actually in your bedroom behind frosted glass doors. Really really weird design! I would NOT want to be there with anyone but my partner.
