It's was ok
Location was good, good breakfast service and staff were polite.
There were no charging points for devices, bathroom shower handles were broken and didn't work, and there was no hot water in the morning.

Im glad it was only 1 night!
Hotel was clean & in a great position by the lake.
Room very dated. Hallway looked recently painted but the room was clearly stuck in the 60s. Two of those freebie style (as in stuck to a magazine page) sachets of shower gel & 1/2 a toilet roll. You get better in a UK Travelodge or Premier Inn! We got an email saying there might be a wait to check in if staff were busy in the restaurant. This is unacceptable. We arrived at 4pm & the restaurant wasnt even open. One guy doing drinks & deserts who was also doing the check ins. Waited about 15 minutes... most of that time the only staff member i saw was eating his lunch but noone else arrived in the restaurant area although you could hear people talking in the back of the kitchens. We never saw anyone actually on reception. Not enough staff - those there are overworked. Saw tables left with dirty plates etc for ages. Breakfast saw a small but reasonable choice of items (cereals looked like they had seen better days!) However one guest took about 6 croissants for his table, leaving 4 for about 30 more guests. I never saw any more come out & people were having to ask the one solitary waitress for more bread (as she was trying to deliver coffees etc) The whole fruit looked like it had been in the basket all week. So for a one night stay- fine. If we had booked for a week we'd have looked elsewhere. If you do stay here get a takeaway pizza from Picadilly Pizza & eat it by late!

We really liked it. It's a wonderful place.
After the first night we decided to extend the hotel for another night as the location of the hotel is amazing. Right on the lakeside with beautiful views and the beach 5 minutes away. Right below the hotel is an Italian restaurant with very tasty food ( I understand the restaurant and hotel have the same owner). First night: mountain and church view, beautiful but hotter in the evening as it is sunny side. Second night: view of the lake ( very beautiful), and less hot. Both rooms had a mini kitchen. Lovely staff ( Francesco, Alina). Delicious and very good breakfasts ( meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, yoghurt). Free parking right outside the hotel. Perhaps the price was affordable as we had attic rooms ( check if this is important to you, maybe that's why it's a bit hotter, but the lake view wasn't hot). It is not a hotel but a B&B so there is no reception but you will be met at the restaurant ( in the hotel itself) and settled in quickly. It is modern and there is no point in overpaying for it. The location and the area around the hotel is very nice. The water in the lake is warm and clear. The presence of the restaurant under the windows: exactly at 10.30. Complete silence)
Lack of air conditioning ( I think this is due to the exterior of the historic building), but fans completely solve this problem. The bathroom ( in the mountain view room ) needs a little updating. The kitchen is poorly equipped ( not provided for cooking dinners), but with plentiful breakfasts and the opportunity to dine in the Italian restaurant ( you can choose from expensive dishes as well as inexpensive tasty pizza) so we did not use the kitchen. These small disadvantages are levelled by the good price and location.
