Everything is perfect! The location has an amazing view, the cleanliness of facility is very high level. The food both dinner and breakfast were delicious. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Totally worth every penny!

I’m used to traveling the world and staying in 5-star hotels, but I have to say — the level of service here was on a whole different level. I’ve never experienced anything like it before. Everything was flawless, and the attention to detail was simply mind-blowing. We were unexpectedly upgraded to a Corner Suite with a stunning lake view for our honeymoon, which was such a lovely surprise! The handwritten congratulatory note, signed by every member of the staff, was a truly brilliant and unique touch. We kept that letter as a souvenir Thanks for making this stay memorable

The hotel’s location and the infinity pool is great, but it is not good enough to justify the price and unprofessional and disrespectful service.

Despite the stunning location, our experience at Hotel Villa Honegg was disappointing and far from what one expects of a luxury hotel. The service was consistently poor, disorganized, and insincere. We were repeatedly told we couldn’t sit or eat in various areas—“this place is for special guests,” “this area is for a private event,” or “this is not available right now”—even when the spaces were mostly empty. This happened at breakfast, lunch, and even during simple seating requests. It gave the impression that the hotel is trying hard to appear exclusive, but instead comes off as pretentious and unwelcoming. Staff were inattentive and slow. It took 10–15 minutes just to get seated or have someone take an order, even when there were only a few other guests around. More frustratingly, staff members approached us speaking only in German without checking if we understood. Even after we said we don’t speak German, they continued to speak in German—despite the fact that most guests were clearly international. We were told that breakfast was available until 2:00 PM both indoors and on the terrace. However, when we went to the terrace at 11:00 AM, we were told it was being prepared for lunch and that we couldn’t sit there. When we pointed out that breakfast on the terrace was supposed to be available until 2:00 PM, we were allowed to stay—though with visible reluctance and an attitude as if they were doing us a favor. The same issue happened again on our check-out day—after waiting over 15 minutes on the terrace with no service, someone finally came and told us it was closed. When we pointed out that others were eating there, we were told they were “special guests for a private event” and that “it was supposed to rain so we closed it. It is taking too much time to prepare here.” Breakfast quality was underwhelming, and the general lack of attention to detail and basic customer courtesy was noticeable throughout.

The views are to die for. The facilities are top notch. My best bit was getting free postcards to send to friends and family.

One staff member treated us differently to how she treated other guests. She may have felt that we are beneath her service 🤷‍♀️

Villa Honegg is truly a dream hotel for many, thanks to its superb location atop a mountain with stunning lake views. The scenery alone is well worth the price. I found the room, the views, and the overall value of staying at such a beautiful place to be impeccable. The hotel provides a punctual shuttle service, and the front desk staff were extremely attentive, friendly, and genuinely kind. I especially appreciated the excellent service from the room service staff.

Although Villa Honegg is a dream destination, I was very disappointed with the dining experience. The food was expensive, as expected given the location, but unfortunately, it was not tasty at all — and I emphasize, not enjoyable at all, which was disappointing compared to the price. Ordering from the menu was also challenging. Some of the restaurant staff seemed confused and unhelpful, and there was a lack of respect for individual differences. I felt uncomfortable with the way dinner service was handled — it felt overly controlling rather than genuinely attentive. Additionally, staying here means it is difficult to travel down to the city; the only option is to use the hotel’s taxi service.

Standard rooms are a lot worse than the upgraded ones. 100% go for the upgrade with lake view worth every penny

In one word, perfect!! In 3 words, heaven on earth. The hotel is amazing, the view cannot be captured by any photos. A luxurious hotel, yet the elegance is not extravagant. The staff is amazing, never seen such a willingness to help and serve, they are so nice I cannot find the words. The breakfast is amazing, the infinity pool is breathtaking, and the view and location are amazing. One of the best hotels I've been to. Felt like home and I miss it already. Looking forward to my next time there.
