Don’t believe the hype.
Location was great and staff were very attentive.
Strange smell in the corridors and in the first room that I stayed in. I asked to move rooms which happened quickly but the smell remained in the second room too. Restaurant (Spices) was not great either. It had a canteen feel to it.

A perfect and unforgettable stay in an exceptional hotel.
Everything about the Waldhotel was exceptional. The facilities are modern, peaceful, and beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of comfort and nature. The staff were truly outstanding—friendly, helpful, and always going above and beyond to make the stay memorable. Their professionalism and kindness made the experience even more special.

This is a one time only stay because there is no reason to return.
Location.
Room had an annoying fragrance and was always too hot. We received no info about the spa at check in. The prepaid dinners were terrible.

Check in experience was like checking into a premier inn. No help with bags, lack of directions and it felt like we were causing the hotel an inconvenience.

Super smart hotel in an amazing location with much attention to detail.
Breakfast was great, everything was spotless, loads of different drinks in the mini bar. Waldhotel spa was lovely and quiet. Views are amazing , all the furnishings were clean and modern and didn’t look tired at all. Staff were friendly and especially attentive in the verbena restaurant.
This is me being super critical- there were a lot of flys about , in the restaurant, lobby, bar etc… A hot chocolate I had, I don’t think had seen any cocoa or chocolate. It would have been great to have fresh milk in the mini bar instead of little uht type packets. One night I think the goats near by were making so much noise with the bells around their necks, which was a nice sound to hear in the day but not when trying to sleep.

A picturesque stay at a resort with a Spa to completely relax in a surreal ambience
I stayed for two nights at the Burgenstock but was offered to stay 1 night at the Waldhotel, and second night at the Heritage/Palace Hotel property for a supplement payment, given the property had the access to the Alpine Spa [including the Infinity pool], whereas Waldhotel did not have the access to the same. Hence, I decided to opt for the same. The Waldhotel room was overlooking the mountains with some cottages with cows, with a very serene and green environment. Whereas the Heritage room was out of the world, as properly classified as 'A room with a view' of Lake Lucerne, and the mountains. It was very picturesque. I enjoyed every minute of being in the Alpine Spa (separate access to it costs circa CHF 215), including the Inifinity Pool, Indoor temperature controlled swimming pool, Spa area [particularly the Green Tea Steam Room / Menthol Steam].
The cost of the property per night is high. While the property is amazing, I would still say, it's fair to good value, given the cost is over CHF 1000 per night.

Rance albertus in the front office is very professional and very helpful! Nelson in the spice restaurant is the best !!!
There were three hotel buildings, we booked in the waldhotel. I found it the best ! It is not facing the lake although but it is spacious and smells nice and very quite!
